Why can foreigners living in Scotland vote but Scots living outside of Scotland can't?????
-
Spot on GB. I am sure they have got all their embassies ready to help out Scots abroad too.
-
We absolutely should do; including footballers, football managers, etc. Additionally, we should (with immediate effect) remove all Scottish politicians, government workers, members of the armed forces, etc, from their jobs. Not doing so would be a huge risk to national security. In fact, to put it bluntly, if the yes vote wins all Scots should have all the same rights to live and work in any EU country as, say, nationals of Belarus.

I guess it depends on what you want from, or to do, in the city. There are many cities already mentioned in this thread that I really enjoyed and others that I was disappointed with. In general, I am not really a 'city' person. Give me the sea or mountains any day. However, three cities that I definitely want to revisit and spend more time in are Vienna, Budapest and Berlin. I also really like Vilnius (which I visit often) and have Krakow on my 'recommended to do' list.

The one thing I would like to see reviewed and action taken on is simulation; especially the rolling around as if they've been shot trying to get an opposition player sent of, when they were barely (if at all) touched. Such play-acting should be punished with a retrospective 3 match ban if proved by cameras, IMO.

Come on Burton Albion!!!! Got to love a team nick-named The Brewers!!!! Yellows, yellows, yellows!!!!!

Spot on! I've been saying the same thing for a long time too. As for other questions: 1. It is a PL rule that stops players playing against their parent clubs. However, Courtois was allowed to play against Chelski in CL. 2. Wages on a deal by deal basis. Usually it is the loaning club who is responsible for them, however, players are paid by their parent club and the amount is then recouped from loaning club. - This is something I remember from when the Skates didn't pay their players when in the PL. All the loanees were fine as they still got their wages. 3. As for the OS, I guess it depends on form and fitness at the time - of all our defenders.

First match of the season was last Sunday. I watched the match on the island, in AMF Bowling, Ryde. They probably only had it on because it was on Sky though. Will watch this Saturday's match at St. Mary's.
-
Good summary Wes. That"s pretty much how I saw the match too. We really do need another striker. Mayuka had at least 3 chances to level things up.
-
Good post DP. I didn't have time to write all that.

Cheers for the link Gemmel, and for your thoughts Red. It is certainly interesting and could very well be plausible.

Sorry, just returned back from a 3 week holiday (and a well needed break from here) so was only going by what I had read posted on here. I therefore rescind my earlier comment.
-
I'm usually one of the more positive posters on here but I have to agree with those who have pointed out that the comment about Morgan being here at the beginning of the season is not the same as saying he will still be with us when the transfer window closes. I believe JRod will be, but only due to his injury.
-
Hopefully in the same way that Norwich won the last transfer window!
-
Costa Rica and Netherlands came joint third? Missed that bit.

To 'out score' = To 'score more goals than' Isn't 1-0 out scoring the opposition? Maybe it has to be more goals than that? Say, 3-1? So we could never beat Man Utd or Citeh 3-1? Or does it have to be more, iyo? Say, 6-3? Nope, that could never happen!!

All of the above. As per usual, I think you are being a bit dramatic Jamie. Indeed, I think you are doing a Turkish in taking an odd post here and there and conveying that as the opinion of everyone on this forum. As for my personal views: I never liked MP, as a person, but did concede he had us playing great football to watch. I am not sure he will replicate that in time at Spurs. We all know how trigger-happy Levy is. Indeed, I sincerely HOPE he fails there! Lambert has clearly been bought as a squad player. However, I wish him well and hope he enjoys his time at Livel. Lallana will now be competing for a first team place with Coutinho, Sterling, and whoever else Liverpool sign. I am sure he play a fair few matches either from the start or as a sub. I do rate him as a player, but severely dislike the way he left us. As for Shaw, he is going to be one of the best left-backs ever (IMHO). However, why did United resign Evra for another year? Just to sit on the bench and be Shaw's understudy? Will Evra will be happy with that? Or is more likely that Shaw will be Evra's understudy FOR THIS ONE COMING SEASON? Of course, it is likely that Utd will let Evra go to Juventus; but then there is the rumour of them wanting to sign Blind. Again, if this were to happen, who do you think LVG will use as his first choice LB this season - Shaw or Blind? Maybe, just maybe, Evra will go and Utd won't sign another LB, trusting solely to Shaw; I guess we will have to wait and see.
-
Possibly, but we do need to sign at least 2 strikers imo. (Replacements for Rickie and Osvaldo - a third would be nice, to cover the half season that JRod will be out for.)
-
I would rather Robertson than Armero. Would also like to see an additional CB (in the inevitable event of Lovren leaving). And I would still have some concerns with our strike force given that we won't have a striker of sufficient quality with any premier league experience. Wouldn't mind us signing Borini to give just that.
-
Very happy with this signing. He looks a class player. I shall wear my Saints shirt with pride when in Serbia next week!
-
If he were to leave us I would prefer for him to go Dortmund. I also think he would do well there. However, I doubt they would pay the price we will ask for him. Nor would Spurs (plus they are not in the CL and I doubt they will be next year either). Arsenal could afford him, but they will have numerous other targets ahead of him. I really hope he stays; at least for one more season.

Saints reject bid from Cardiff for José Fonte
Minsk replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Where is you evidence he did this? Why would he pick Cardiff? Why do you pessimistic posters always have to make things up? -
The store reopens on the 19th. So exactly 2 weeks.
-
Too early to say really. However, whilst we probably won't replace those who have gone with players of better quality, we could certainly improve the squad depth overall. Given that we do bring in enough players of a good enough ability, I will go for mid-table; with a cup win thrown in!! Yes, I am ever the optimist!!!
