Getting bulk is just about protein and calories intake anyway. There is a guy at my gym who can deadlift over 200kg and squats not far off that, he's not got an ounce of fat on him, muscular but not bulky at all. Just says he eats clean 6 days a week and keeps his calories to 2000 a day apart from Saturdays.

The thing people need to remember is like a lot of our signings we haven't signed the finished article, we've signed a player with potential. He's still inexperienced at top flight and although no guarantees I'm sure he'll improve, his performance at arsenal and against Barcelona in the champions league show he's got tons of ability. With experience and coaching he'll get the decision making side of his game right.

After a heavy compound set last night I decided to give this workout a go for the first time in about two years and just remembered this thread. I Was amazed that having done little cardio and mainly strength training compound lifts since April I managed to do this in 11.51 seconds, was blowing a bit during the burpees but other than that fine. This after a heavy squat, deadlift and shoulder press session. Conclusion- I'm never stopping doing compound lifts.

Not sure how anyone can defend Forster on this one. I like him a lot and think he will develop into a very good keeper but a lofted ball into the six yard box should be his to claim or clean out every day of the week. The first one not his fault at all.

I'm surprised he didnt say Southampton have never beaten Burnley at Turf Moor in the premier league.

no, no and no. We look so much more solid when Tony Underwood is in the back 4. Get that back 4 back together and stick with Davis and Wanyama in front who did well against Man United. Keep the front 4 the same too.

Surely it'd be better if we lose as a win would just confirm us as flat track bullies.

Was that the game where we were 4-0 down after about 20 minutes, we had Richard Dryden playing centre back who was truely awful and looked about 3 stone overweight. Think we lost 5-0 in the end.

wish i had that problem. Its our year end this month, i'll certainly be working all the way through christmas and very likely until late new years eve.

Personally i'll be spending all afternoon dreaming about what might have been as i watch Sam Vokes, Danny Ings and Lukas Jutwitez turning out for the opposition. It should have been us.

You're right about that. He burst onto the scene and then struggled a little bit after that. When we played 4-3-3 Rideout was usually the chosen one. But ironically it was under branfoot that Shearer came on, had a decent season under him that got him his move to Blackburn. Strange to think that one of of England greatest ever strikers would actually progress under one of our worst ever managers.

I was amazed that ITV seemed to think the entire country wanted Liverpool to win. Most people i know cant stand them.

When fans talked of expanding in 2003 after the cup final Lowe was quick to quash this talk by saying each seat would cost £3,000 and he would want to see a couple of years of sell outs and waiting lists before any serious discussion would take place. he was right. Anyone that thinks the club are going to expand and then reduce the price of tickets is nuts. In an ideal world we'd all love to sell 50,000 tickets every week and never pay more than £15 but it aint going to happen.

Wow, he doesn't like him does he!

And that's exactly how the big clubs, UEFA and sky want it. A closed shop with the biggest clubs playing in the champions league which will effectively be the European super league that's been touted about for years. They don't want anyone gate crashing their party. I remember when people on here told us FFP was a good thing for us, when anyone with any sense knew it wasn't.
-
Anyway it was the refs fault Liverpool lost, it wasn't their fault, it never is.
-
I take it it wasn't one of those great European nights at anfield then? Although I'm sure the Gerrard free kick reminded everyone of Istanbul
-
It's started well, by the middle could start to see what you were getting at and by the end it was clear what your objective was. Why not just title the thread 'Wanyama to Arsenal'?

Isn't it frustrating that in our 5 games against Man United since returning to the premier league we've lost 3 and in all 3 defeats they've been forunate. 2 late goals in 2012/13 season at home, in the away game we comepletely dominated them and lost 1-2. Then lasts night losing because of mistakes. Its frustraining that over the course of those 5 games we've been the better side yet only got 2 points to show for it.

Arent Tony and Morgan both back?

I'm not sure why people are on his case, we've been told for years we need a "pacy wideman" and now we've got one because he isn't brilliant straight away people are on his back. This is the sort of player your pacy widemen are folks, frustrating, inconsistent but every now and again turn it on. Show me a pacy wideman who is consistently good and I'll show you a player out of our price range.
