Northam for example 497, my season ticket in the Northam first season at St Marys was either 400, or 450, i dont remember which, but even worst case a relatively small increase in 24 years isn't bad at all. Always liked Forest as a club, similar size to us and their period late 70s-90s was what Saints could have been had everything gone spectacularly well. Forest were shit in 2020/21 and shit for the first two months of 2021/22 where they then hit a great run of form, got into the play offs and got promoted by virtue of an own goal and penalty shoot out win. They finished 17th in the 2020/21 season they were bottom of the league end of September. They went on a great run winning 10 of their last 14 games to get to the playoffs and then a penalty win and an own goal in the final shows luck was also on their side to some extent. That’s the very definition of what you said about a team getting into the play offs and fluking a win.

You could argue Nottingham forest did exactly that in 2021/22. Bottom of the table in September had a good run after Christmas to get into the play offs, won the semi on penalties and the final 1-0 thanks for an own goal. they seem to have done alright…

Saw him last week at Harrogate v Notts county was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. He touch and movement levels above everyone else on the pitch. Played a sort of free attacking role always picking up pockets of space, linking play well and best player on the pitch.
