  1. what an utter bell end.
  2. spot on. And why do TV cameras always pick out the biggest mong they can find when doing crowd shots. I also hate it when the camera shows shots of fans crying, especially if its after a cup final, this is pathetic. Losing a cup final, whilst disapointing it is not a faliure, for most clubs, especially ones outside the big clubs reaching an FA Cup final is a cause for celebration and to enjoy the day, win or lose, not sit their blubbing because you didn't win, this is childish, spoilt behaviour.
  3. nah! Subway is great, often go there for lunch, the subway club is immense!
  4. The Dell wasn't noisey and hostile!! I went to Dell most weeks from 1984 onwards and yes it could generate a decent atmosphere at times but it was rarely a hostile place to visit. People seem to hark back to some golden era at the Dell where there was a brillaint atmopshere every week. There wasn't, night games were better but most weeks the only singing came from the East Stand terrace and a small section at the back of the Milton under the family centre. I even remember the paper versions of the Ugly Inside fanzine saying there was little atmoshpere at the Dell in the early 90's. When the seats where installed the Archers end became the singing end and it probably was a bit noiser but to say it was hostile is a joke. Millwall is hostile, Leeds, West Ham, even Fratton Park. That 4-1 game in our relegation season you could tell by the look on the saints players faces they were initimdated in the tunnel before kick off, the game was lost before a ball had been kicked. Obviously i dont want away fans and players coming here fearing for the lives but i dont want them coming here thinking its a nice afternoon stroll in a nice stadium with happy clappy fans. I want teams to fear coming here, thinking they are going to be in for a rough ride from the moment the first whistle sounds. Big teams didn't like coming to the Dell because of the cramped conditions, not because they were intimidated by the supposedly hostile crowd.
  5. that wasn't because of the hostile and noisey crowd, it was because the crowd were so close to the pitch, the Dell pitch might have almost felt claustrophobic compared to what they were used too.
  6. right on que, who should turn up.......
  7. Yeah it'd be terrbile to have a stadium away teams hated coming too and felt intimidated playing at.
  8. no, we are going to play percentage football, long and high as often as possible into a couple of big lumps with no skill up front but good at knocking it down three on rushing midfielders who are a poor mans Vinnie Jones. We are only knocking it around and playing football now to tray and fool the opposition as to how we really intend to play.
  9. Dont be bitter because my threads usually run into multiple pages, meanwhile your last attempt was generally regarded as one of the top ten worst threads of all time.
  10. so pointless you felt the need to slot in your two pennies worth.
  11. tough game but i think we can get something, they haven't been the force they were at home last season and 5 games unbeaten and only one goal conceded we will go into it with confidence. Still one of the toughest games of the season but we can get a result.
  12. Wednesday are a big club in terms of history and tradition, years ago Hillsborough was one of the grounds alwasy used for FA Cup semi finals, going back in time their fan base was twice that of ours. We have only really grown as a club in the last 10 years, although we were restricted by the Dell in the 90's even in our glory years of the early 80's we struggled to get crowds of 20k and rarely sold out.
  13. What i meant about being pleased about it, i meant pleased we may be finally shaking off the "family club" tag. It's a little embarassing to be honest, gives the image of a cute friendly little club where away players can come and pick up three easy points and have a nice day out while the all the mums dads and kids sit together in the stands hugging and grinning like an advert for marshall ward.
  14. two out of three of those are right.
  15. i think a lot of you divs are missing the point, which hardly surprising. In the OP i said i dont have a problem with people shouting and singing during the game, i do myself; but this dimwit took it to another level, this clown would be stood up shouting "go on Dan" like he was just about to cut inside the full back and slot it in from 18 yards, which would have been fine, however he was doing this when the ball was in the left or right back position and the only ball on was a sideway or backwards 10 yard pass. And he did this the whole game, added to the joining in of every song from the northam but being 3 lines behind and not knowing the words on any song; oh and he smelt a bit of BO so everytime he clapped along at 10000000 miles an hour i was subject to his poor hygine, the bloke became as irritating as an angry wasp flying round your can of coke. It was a bit like watching the game like this....
  16. but shouting "Who" is moronic, no wit or humour needed. You could get a retard to shout that. 2-0 in your cup final is funny, witty and belittles these small clubs, shouting "who" is idiotic and takes the intelligence of a 3 year old.
  17. because i want St Marys to be an intimdating place to come, i dont want us to be seen as a push over at home, a soft easy place to come. Millwall, West Ham, Leeds etc where sbast*ard places to go in the 80's and not many teams came away with a result, fans went their with their wits about them, tough place to go. I want other teams to fear coming here, to hate it and to know that to get a result you not only have to beat the team you have to beat the crowd too, sadly, i think we have a lot of pussies in our support so this will never happen.
  18. or the other view is because i enjoy life and know what fun is, i dont find it "fun" to shout "Who" when a player comes on as sub for a team i care nothing for.
  19. it is idiotic because there is not an ounce of intelligence or humour in the "chant" Songs to Bournemouth such as 2-0 in your cup final, are funny as they are arrogant and amusing and puts them in their place. Shouting "who" when some no mark sub comes on the pitch is none of this, it is about as funny as a chinese burn and certainly not "fun" do you all point at each othe laughing about how mad you all are when you say it at matches? Mugs.
  20. i think you'll find those figures are out of date; we now have over 100 on bans and have had more bans dished out in the last season than any club in the country. Also 14 in prison at the moment with no doubt more to follow after recent events v Bournemouth. A family club we are no more and i for one am pleased about that.
  21. Fun? Is that what you call it? I'd call it idiotic.
  22. maybe you should start a thread "single and wanting it" after the way you touted yourself on another thread of mine you couldn't help yourself but post on. Not bad for someone you think is an "idiot", admit it SUe, you find me amusing and curiously interesting. If you weren;t so unattractive i might even let yhou suck me off.,
  23. what is funny about it? explain.
  24. the "whoo" thing is just sh*t. No at all intimdating, funny or clever, it's gash.
  25. As i have made it clear on other threads, i detest people that go and fill their faces with pies and burgers at half time. A half time pint is acceptable but why people feel the need to eat as much as possible the minute they set foot in a football stadium is beyond me.
