  1. Lets get one thing straight, we did not "create" 20 chances, we may have had 20 attempts at goal but humping balls long into the box and shooting into an overcrowded goalmouth from knock downs and deflections is not creating chances, its called percentage football. We did create chances in the first half, but if you look at the finishing, every shot was straight at the keeper, that is bad finishing. On your other point i have based my 10 games not on the "lower sector of the league" as you put it, or the bottom half, but the bottom 7, thats right, the 7 worst teams in this league, teams fighting relegation. We have dropped almost 47% of available points against teams in and around the relegation zone, battling to avoid the drop. One or two defeats are excusable, they can happen, but fail to win half your games against teams fighting relegation is totally unacceptable for a team that claims it is challenging for the title. I really dont understand how anyone can try to justify this record. We cant have had back luck, a dodgy ref etc in all of those games can we?
  2. Sorry, i was at the game and i dont agree that we played well. Can you remember ONE clear cut chance in the second half? I cant, i remember lots of crosses, lots of corners, lots of scrambling around trying to turn the ball in from 10 years past a goalkeeper and 6 defenders and yes, some brave and commited defending but i dont remember us carving Wallsall open and missing chance after chance. The first half was bad finishing, five times in on goal, five times the keeper pulls off routine saves, second half was desperate clueless, hopeful stuff. I'll say it again, only ONE team in the WHOLE OF THR FOOTBALL LEAGUE have lost more games at home than Wallsall this season. HOw anyone can think this defeat was acceptable is beyond me.
  3. Just to confirm how poor tuesday nights result was, only one team, Preston, who has lost more games at home this season in the whole of the football league than Wallsall. I am truely stunned that some people are attempting to justify this result as unlucky, one of those nights etc and even claiming we played brilliantly!
  4. Let me spell it out for you. This "we lost a game" nonsense is really starting to p*ss me off. We have now lost 40% of our games against the bottom 7. This includes defeats agains the mighty Wallsall, the worst home team in league one, Tranmere & bottom club Plymouth. We have failed to win half of our games against teams in the bottom 7 and dropped 14 points in 10 games against them. Do you think this is acceptable for a club which claims it is challenging for the title? And i was there tuesday, we didn't play fanstatic attacking football like you seen to be claiming, the longer the game went on the more we humped in long and hopeful, which quite often lead to Lambert and Barnard crashing into them and our "chances" in the second half, came from scrambled crosses or corners, not carving Wallsall open and missing with the goal at our mercy.

I am being nice to everyone, especially my TSW friends like you xx
  6. and the fact they've lost both of their leading goal scorers this season.
  7. Did the season only start when Adkins took over then?
  8. Because i am getting fed up with the under performing and the excuses. There is only so far you can defend a team and a manager and i have done in the past as you well know. "it was one of those nights" is a kop out when it happens so often to us. Hartlepool was as well, so was Tranmere, so was Brentford, how many more are we going to have? Our record agains the bottom 7 is embarassing and blaming it on bad luck and crap pitches is not addressing the problem which IMO is the team lack the bottle and the motivation to fight when they are not playing on a bowling green with teams sitting off them letting them play and if that is the case then i am really starting to believe the team lacks the bottle for a promotion push.
  9. Whereas we have P10 W4 D1 L5 against the bottom 7. I think that speaks for itself and is not acceptable.
  10. Let just spell it out to people again. We have dropped 14 points in 10 games against the bottom 7, teams fighting relegation. P10, W5, D1, L4. We have lost nearly half of our games against teams in the bottom four and in our defeats failed to score in any of the games. Now whilst i dont expect us to win all of them, although we should, i'd expect a team challenging for the title to only lose one, or at worst two. This record cant be just conicidence, this is not because of crap pitches, bad luck, poor referees or any other excuse people might want to make. THat is the mark of a team that lacks bottle for a fight and cant raise it's game when it needs to and may well be the mark of a manager that cant motivate the team when it needs to. One simple question, if the players cant hack the pressure of having to win a game away at the worst home side in L1, how are they going to cope with a play off semi final or final? And i was at Walsall on tuesday and anyone that says we played "brilliantly" is seriously deluded. Yes we created 5 decent chances in the first half but their keepers saves form them were at best routine, he hardly did anything spectacular to keep them out. Second half all of our chances came from scrambled crosses, i dont remember us working one clear cut chance. This "it was one of those nights" "we lost a game it happens" is wearing thin now. How many more "it was one of those nights" are we going to have? Teams that win things have them here and there but 40% (50% of the time if you include drawing at Yeovil) of the time against relegation strugglers is simply not a case of "one of those nights".
  11. Well my account certainly didn't we played brilliantly!!!
  12. Anyone that says we were mugged tuesday is an idiot. WE lost because of yet another defensive error and faliure to put away one or two of 20 odd attempts at goal. Then when it wasn't working for us the usual resort to panicing and hopeful long balls. All this against a team that have lost more games at home than any other in this division.
  13. Thats the problem with wanting to win things though isn't it, you have to do better than those around you. I am sure Chelsea fans aren't blaming other teams for doing well as the reason they wont win the title this season.

That is amazingly cool, i think Ghost Hunters are cool, just like Yvette Fielding.
  15. We lost a match against a team that has lost more games at home than any other in this league. We lost a match against a team that we should have blown away, we lost a match, yet again against a team fighting relegation, 4 defeats in 10 games against the bottom 7 teams, nearly half, do you think this is acceptable for team that considers themselves championship contenders? It's all very well for Adkins and Butterfield to come out saying the championship race is still on but it's going to take a miracle. Brighton have only lost 5 games all season, we are now asking them to lose 4 more than games us in our last 15 games, it aint going to happen. It's all starting to wear a bit thin, there seems to a lot of talking the talk this season but not a walking the walk. When it matters we have been found wanting, just like last night.
  16. We have now lost 0-1 against 3 of the bottom 5 and have lost 4 of our 10 games against the bottom 7 this season. To spell it out, that is 12 points thrown away, 14 if you include the poor draw at Yeovil. The reality is we should be blowing these teams away but we aren't. Wallsall were as bas a side as i've seen, they defended bravely and we didn't have a lot of luck, dodgy ref, losing Schniderlin, these things didn't help but there are no excuses for last night, we were playing away at a side that has lost more home games this season than any other in this division, this should have been a banker. Make no mistake, depsite the stats, this was a poor display. I've not had a chance to post today as got back from the game late last night and been away all day with work. Bad finishing in the first half, 5 times we were through on goal in the first half, 5 times the keeper made decent, but not great saves, in reality if he'd let them in, they'd have gone down as a goal keeping error such was the poor quality of the finishing. The second half our attempts at goal came from scrambled crosses rather than clear cut chances and the longer the game went on the more we restorted to humping it with long, hopefull balls, quite often resulting in Lambert and Barnard crashing into each other. Their goal was yet another individual error, Jaidi played well apart from that but yet again another cock up has cost us a goal. Sorry but this "it was one of those nights" "we lost a game, it happens" is starting to wear a bit thin now. 14 points dropped against sides in the bottom 7, lost nearly half of our games against teams in the bottom 7. This is not coincidence, this isn't bad luck, bad referees, poor pitches. This says to me we have a team that lacks bottle and fight, that cant get up for games like this and possibly we have a manager that cannot motivate the players to get up for games like this. If a team cant cope with the pressure of having to win away at Wallsall, the worst side at home in this division, how are they going to cope with a play off semi final or final? For the first time, i am seriously doubting if this team has what it takes to go up.
  17. If we beat them by 6 it would be catastrophic, look what happened last time we won by 6. In many ways a 6-0 win would be a worse result than losing.
  18. would you seriously be happy with beating a team in the relegation zone by anything less than 3 goals? Do you have no ambition?
  19. Hey, i'm just getting in early and beating him to
  20. but a draw could be the worst result of all, an away point leaving some thinking we are brilliant and unbeatable making some players complacent and others thinking we aren't good enough to beat Wallsall how are we going to beat anyone better? A draw could lead to massive disunity in the squad as well as a catastrophic mix of complacency and low confidence. And another thing, my last mid week away game was Exeter, where there were an awful lot of fans wearing red and white when we were playing in BLACK FFS! I cant help but this this had a massive effect on the performance, if the fans cant be bothered to wear the right colour shirts, why should the players be bothered to play properly? Wearing the wrong colours shirts in the crowd could be catastrophic.
  21. Did you tell him anymore his norf an sarf and you'll open him up like a tin of beans you mug.
  22. you're not getting it are you? On saturday we will see how good Adkins man management skills are depending on how he lifts the team or brings them down a peg or two. Today doesn't matter, at 9.45 the result is history, it's if we win at Colchester, only then will i be convinced promotion is do-able.
  23. the highlight of the interview was "there is a part of me that is Dennis Hopper, you must love and height but you must do so violently......i am not in the middle anymore, because that is when you get embarassed in front of the prom queen, if you love or hste you must but do so with violence" brilliant life motto!
  24. and risk getting fined and banned form the league? We all know we are skint these days what a stupid suggestion.
  25. What worries me is if we do win tonight the players might take their foot off the gas saturday thinking job done and we go on a catastrophic run due to complacency which will f*ck up our season. Although if we dont win though it could be a disaster and faliure to beat in a team in the relegation zone could have a massive impact on the team confidence and lead to us going on a catastrophic run due to a lack of confidence which will f*ck up our season.
