You obviously dont know anything about football then.

Some might call it an establishment fit up JRM, they think they've got them.
-
Spot on.

no it isn't stupid at all. derby game, home fans angry due to being turned over in a game we could and probably should have won. Tensions run high, letting fans out into the streets at the same time is in my opinion, asking for trouble, regardless of what people say about having a choice got a derby anywhere in the country or world and there are always going to be people up for a ruck, like it or not. Common sense says keep them in until the areas immediately around the ground are clear, like we are kept in at Fratton Park. Personally i think that the reason for all this is 1/ the OB let it happen in an attempt to get some bans put on know 'risk element' or 2/ They ****ed up in doing what they did and know they did and are now trying to cover their arses in allowing a flash point to happen.

They have been charged with violent disorder, the maximum sentance is 5 years.

:smt120 Anyone that thinks those boys deserve to even been banged up for their "violence" lives on a different planet. Such a thing as punishment fitting the crime.

Since january transfer window shut so Pardew had his team in place in the league played 16 Won 10 drew 4 lost 2 pts 34 Championship winnning form. whats not consistant about that?

I do own a stone island jumper yes, not because when i put it on i feel invicible like an invisible forcefield of hardness has encapulated me, but because i liked the jumper in the shop. I also own other labels as well that you might call "casual", bought them not so people would think i am hard though, simply because i liked them, does that make me one of the wannabe SI brigade? What trainers do you wear then if addidas retro ones are rubbish? Bet you're a K Swiss man...
-
Do you wear a saints shirt?

That is not the point though, a drunken group of football fans standing on a platform singing and shouting would look intmidating to an 85 year old woman. I bet there were no members of the public within 30 yards of them, no, they were keeping their distance, as you can see from the video links. The other point is that this lot may well have been having fun, but i seem to remember during the summer a group of saints fans went down to Weymouth to celebrate the life of a friend of theirs who had sadly passed away and did no more than this little lot, in fact probably less, a few beers, bit of a sing song and they were villified as thugs and knuckle draggers. What's the difference? Why when some people act a certain way is it crazy fun with everyone have a right old laugh but when its others doing the same thing they are thugs and an embarassment to their club?
-
you are quite right, we did, not sure why it never happened, what a team that would have been, we were a player short of being a championship winning side during the 81-84 period.
-
Me too, but it depends on your persepective, some locals or none football fans might have been intimidated by a group of drunken people singing football songs and jumping about, some of the gentleman are quite big guys and a few shaven heads in there too so could have appeared quite an intimidating bunch. I know when other groups have behaved in the same way they have been chastised as being a disgrace for doing this very same thing, you cant have one rule for one and one for another.
-
I dont, that is why i asked, i want to know what the TSF superstars have to say on the subject.
-
this one, disallowed for offside against Armstrong i think, what a joke.
-
two things that stand out about that goal are firstly the speed off passing and movement, the Liverpool players are putting the saints players under loads of pressure but every pass is spot on, quick, and movement first class again what was the best team in Europe, if not the world at that time. Also look at David Armstrongs contribution, he starts the move off on the edge of his own penalty area and then turns up on the edge of the Liverpool area to overhead kick to Keegan, a great great goal.
-
hilarious, how long did it take you to think that one up?
-
What a crazy, wacky bunch, that lot really know how to enjoy themselves. One thing i should ask is if that had been a group of young lads wearing "casual" gear and not TSF superstars, doing exactly the same thing, standing on a station platform in a large group drunk, singing and shouting, would they be chastised as an emabrassment to the club and intimidating locals or would they to be crazy fans having a great time?
-
no it itsn't, the only reason we "hated" Tottenham was due to the Glen Hoddle thing, it was a totally pointless, ********, manufacturered rivalry which lasted about a season after Hoddle went. There has never really been any rivalry between us apart from that and the fact they now got HR as manager.
-
they hate us and assume we hate them, but they are nothing to us, purely a geographical thing, kind of like Hartlepool hating Newcastle but Newcastle only fussed by Sunderland geograpically, nothing to us, that said though looking forward to the south coast derby next season with them, also enjoy the local rivalries with Swindon & Brighton.
-
Agree totally there mate, i remember that whole season after every Burley interview with him talking about getting into the play offs what the f*** was he talking about ,surely after being backed by the board he to the tune of £7m the we should be going for top 2, drove me nuts all that. What happened to him? Was delighted when we got him, after his record at Ipswich and Hearts, was ****e for us and the sweaties.
-
he was my first saints idol a great player in the Gary Lineker mould of striker, i remember his nickname was the pocket battle ship. Top top player in his era, always remember an interview with him in Shoot magazine where he lists his favourite drink as larger and food as steak, not many would do that these days!
-
Three tough games in their run in, Millwall and Colchester at home, which is massive for them and Exter away last day, they are not good away and if i were them i wouldn't fancy having to go there and need a result. Only one i'd be confident of getting a win is Stockport away. they are not in great form and its quite posible they could only get another 3-4 points this season.
-
Agree that they were scared of them, and Lallana and Antonio played well, but i dont think Puncheon did, two incidents that stick out in my mind, first half we had a break of 4 on 1 he had time and space to pick a pass which would surely have lead to a goal scoring opportunity and put it 10 yards behind Lallana and went out for a Charlton thrown in, second half fairly late on, he ran with the ball about 30 yards, loads of chances to play in Barnard i think it was on the saints right, delayed and delayed and ending up and ended up passing the ball to the Charlton defend. I think he was a threat and as i've already said i really rate him but his end product was poor on saturday.
-
To be honest i'd rather AP got them playing like Barcelona or Spain, their style of play seems to work.
-
i worried evertime the ball went near Seabourne, didnt look comfortable and hardly won a header all day. Wwe were lucky Fonte and Harding were outstanding either side of him as he looked dodgy, might be due to being rusty due to lack of games?
