We'll probably pass them sideways or backwards.

Personally I don't think the historian will ever be happy. He moaned when Lowe was here, he moaned throughout Corteses tenure and he's whinged all the time since. He hates this forum and everyone on here, he hates the way the club is run, doesn't like most of the players, seems not to like many fanshe described our League cup semi final as the greatest threat to our season!!! This is the bloke that I'm pretty sure when he's not organising industrial strikes in making a decent bit of coin writing books about a club he appears to detest from top to bottom.

Agree with most of what's been said one here. This place used to be brilliant, it had a golden era when there were loads and loads of brilliant threads full of interesting views, genuine ITKers, hilarious wit and informed debate. Ones that stand out are when it was claimed that Guly had a clause in his contract that meant if he was fit he had to play a minimum of 15 minutes a game. One of the greatest debates were around stadium expansion these went on for years, Sadly we don't have any more. Who could forget franks cousins drunken Sunday night rants, this place has been going downhill for years, Sue whistle has even stopped mentioning Italy on every post. No wonder the good posters have stopped posting and you can see why!

I'm serious. I'm absolutely sick to death of turning on the radio and hearing what "Jurgen" has said, or what Pep is doing or what Jose thinks. Bellend players earning 80 grand a week and refusing to do their jobs. Listening to pundits talk about which players one of the big five or six clubs so sign, how brilliant a 10 yard sideways pass was by Rooney. All the absolute cockend fans who follow these clubs but have never been within a hundred miles of the cities they play in, but wear the overpriced shirt and pay their sky subscription and talk about what "we" are doing and who "we" should be signing. How a defeat is softened by the knowledge that at least have got "zlatan" in their fantasy team. Go to china the lot of you and good riddance and take your celebrity refs, pundits, sh*t generic songs, banter, fancy dress, fantasy football and everything else with you!
-
Good! Let's hope all these greedy, mercenary players clear off there and the celebrity managers with them . Then the sky money starts to disappear and it all implodes. The premier league is full of helmet players, helmet managers, helmet referees, watched by helmet fans run by helmets. Maybe if all the "stars" clear off to china and the TV money dries up then clubs will start valuing the fans a bit more and we'll have players that don't throw strops like a teenage girl on her first period. Hopefully this will also spell an end to the fancy dress, wacky, mars bar on his head bantersaurusrexes that seem to attach themselves to football these days.

You did get to experience the fearsome chapel Kop at its most vociferous. Sturridge,,Lallana, firmino all terrified to go near the penalty area at the Kop end as the bile and hatred cascaded off the terrace.
-
But that wasn't their fault!! That was the crap stadium, the crap segregation and ticketing, the Belgian police, National Front who got in their end.
-
They are a wonderful club who are loved by everyone. All the neutrals admired them when they bravely battled for the title and were rooting for them. They've got great support and I finally get my wish to experience one of those great cup nights at Anfield in two weeks time. They are a club to be admired and respected. Enduring hardship with the grit of their fans and spirit not to mention the great scouse sense of humour shining through. PS Don't mention Heysel. That wasn't their fault either, that was the stadium, the Belgian police, the segregation, the national front, Chelsea fans who got tickets, etc

Destabilising them by putting out stories we want to sign a player that cant get near their first team? I'm sure we've enquired about him as we probably have lots of centre halves but I'd be very surprised if we spent £20m on him.
-
May I politely suggest that you're probably looking in the wrong place sir. As an experienced , regular contributor to this forum I am surprised it has taken you so long to realise. In addition if you "lose it" and "break down" about things written on anonymous football forum then perhaps they aren't the place for you.

Do we rotate more than other teams? I've found out so you don't have to

Some interesting observations Duncan, may I ask if you have a girlfriend? -
Excellent draw. Gives us a great chance to give Walcott and ox a rousing reception, get the "he's one of our own" song going again, love that song. Hopefully we'll still be on a bad run so we can rip into our own players as usual, not that It matters, I've decided Redmond, Forster and Ward Prowse are sh*t and no amount of good performances are going to change that.
-
Perhaps Puel should follow Koeman and demand new players
Turkish replied to John B's topic in The Saints
Reed said only a few weeks ago that our strategy doesn't depend on managers wanting money and bringing their own people in. We profile our managers to make sure they fit us and we fit them. Claude went through a rigorous interview process to make sure that was the case. Spending money would be an admission of failure. -
Claude showed against Arsenal he can do it. if Hojbjerg can be taught to shoot 30 feet lower he can do it which is possible as he is young, hungry and therefore guaranteed to improve. Ward-Prowse seems have perfected his shooting accuracy the only problem is it's exactly a foot wide or over everytime so if he can be coached to adjust his radar slightly he could score a hatful. Puel is meant to be a great coach, afterall he coached Thierry Henry to be a very average winger before Wenger converted him into a striker 5 years later so even Lloyd Isgrove can be optimistic of his prospect under Puel.

Macquarie bank. Australian lot. We've used them before. Might just be for cash flow or tax reasons like others have said.

I see the hipsters go to manager of the summer Paco Jimez is ripping it up. After getting Rayo Vallecano relegated last season he lasted 6 games at Granada not winning any of them, losing 4 and drawing 2 and is now managing a midtable side in Mexico. I cant believe we missed out on him.
-
I've voted out against my better judgement. I think he deserves to be judged at the end of the season and there have been some promising signs. However what concerns me is the lack of belief and fight in the players along with what appears to be a lack of leadership on and off the pitch. I'm hearing whispers he has lost senior members of the dressing room and once that happens then it's a case of when and not if. The excuse it's not his team doesn't wash, it's still a squad packed full of internationals who have all performed better than they are at the moment. Reed was telling everyone who would listen only a few weeks back that our strategy doesn't rely on managers bringing in their own people. He seems to have scrapped his plans at the start of the season to play a diamond and now going 4-3-3 which is actually more like a defensive 4-1-4-1. he doesn't know what his best team is or his best formation and our previously solid defence looks a shambles. When you cant score and concede soft goals it's the perfect storm.
-
Hang on a minute, our self lauded philosophy is that it doesn't matter who the manger is the squad is the squad. Only a few weeks back Les was in the media telling everyone who would listen that when managers come in they want their own staff and money and how dangerous that is. The it isn't Puels team excuse doesn't wash I'm afraid because according the the club whoever the manager is it isn't their team. You can read all about it here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37954971

Have they paid Alan McLaughlin his testimonial cash yet? The excuse they gave was they were waiting for his accountant to tell them how he wanted it paid. If this is true the accountant wants sacking, 5 months since the testimonial and he still can't work out if he wants cash or cheque maybe something in the rumour they're skint and need to sell players in January and can't afford to sack cook.

Annual New Year's Eve bump. So how is life now?

What use do you expect posts on an anonymous football forum to be? If you think anything anyone posts matters you're in for a big shock pal.
-
Great replacement for Juanmi isn't he. Well done Les.

Lets hope the sky cameras keep away from that cretin in the clown hat with stripy face paint, he's an embarassment.
-
Not trolling. He's got a lot of potential, but as of yet hasn't really produced. I'm sure he will and he's an intelligent, level headed young man. He needs time to develop and learn how to shoot 20 feet lower.
