  1. Totally agree. He's a big boy, no one is holding a gun to his head. I'm sure if he wanted to stay he's brave enough to tell someone he's worked with for only 4 weeks where to stick it. Let's be blunt, joining the dots it doesn't look good for him. Promising all along he's see his contract out, knocking Everton back, getting an offer from saints and though and behold Everton come back with a much better offer only a few days later. Plus the changing of agent only a few weeks ago. Why did he do that if he was happy to see his contract out? Unfortunately it looks like SFC have been played yet again. I don't blame the board Koemans been a slippery, lying helmet and let everyone down. He seemed to be a man of honour but is even worse than Pochetino, at least he didn't pretend he wasn't a decietful *****.
  2. We could do a lot worse than Moyes. However he's definitely the odd one out in that list. The other three are all considered bright, young forward thinking managers and Moyes, well, isn't. Wonder if we'll talk to De Boer and Yakin, two others who would appear to fit the profile of what Reid spouts about.
  3. We've got emery unai emery I just don't think you understand He's les Reads man He's better than Koeman We've got unai Emery Delete and replace name of manager as appropriate
  4. Turkish

    Isgrove and all

Why it is whenever I see a thread from 9-3 I always imagine a man who has drink copious amounts of special brew.
  5. Why do you hate to say it? He's clearly a very good player the problem is he's never fit for long and is a bit of prat. He's been very good tonight as have Stones and Bertrand. Apart from the goal I think Rashford has been poor. England bang average again. Dier alongside Wilshire with Lalllana and Dia behind Kane and Vardy is a decent front 6 I think.
  6. Scott Marshall was another one, although I would say ecstatic is pushing it when we got him from arsenal for £500k and think we beat a few club for his signature, he'd played a few times for arsenal the previous season when I think they we're champions. he was considered to be quite a signing. IIRC he played twice we lost 3-0 and 4-0, he scored an own goal in both games and was one of the worst players I've ever seen. Remember Jon Gittens? SOld him for £60k, resigned him a few years later for £600k and you could see why all we got was a tenth of what we payed for him straight away.
  7. David Prutton. Was considered a coup when he signed and billed as a future captain and long term central midfield star. Never lived up to it though. Kevin Davies the second time round, half the player we sold to Blackburn. Kerry Dixon, was a great striker for Chelsea but awful for us.
  8. The best thing about these sort of threads is how many Tobys get themselves at it about them, then accuse others of being tits ?
  9. Yet we've progressed for two season with a negative net spend. So despite a massive positive net spend being the latest holy grail in mongboardery, the proof is in the pudding, it isn't as important as many of the f*ckwits on here would like it to be.
  10. You mean he has periods of good form, yes? A creative footballer having periods of good form where they are confident and free of injury and other periods of a season where they aren't in great form. who'd have thought it.
  11. Remember guys it's not guaranteed yet. If we vote to leave Euorpe then our Europa league places drop to drop one as UEFA only give none EU members one place, which will go to Man United as 5th placed side.
  12. What round do the Charity Shield winners enter at?
  13. Anyone else find it amusing that after west ham fans bricked the man United coach they're now relying on those players to do them a favour to make Europe next season?
  14. We were told for much of the season that we should wish we were them. We were told that you can't keep selling your best players and improving, in fact that was the opening gambit on many posts in the early weeks of the season as our rebuilt team found its feet. Everton in particular were a shining light as to what we should aspire to be. Is this still the case or do we now accept that as a club we are in great hands, we have a strategy that works and actually other clubs should wish they were us?
  15. If there is one thing we have learnt on this incredible journey it's that managers come and go but the relentless pursuit of exercise shows no sign of abating. Th club has a clear strategy and this has given previous and current manager an excellent platform to work on. The year on year progression has continued regardless of players, management, scouts, coaches even chairman. The consistent figure and catalyst of our success is one man, step forward Les Reed, fast becoming the new Ted Bates.
  16. Joey Barton said Everton should go for him on talksport earlier. So the "chatter" he is on about is one Bellend talking nonsense on the radio. Still give Charlie another chance to peddle his agenda.
  17. True, if he didn't have them on and he walked around with his head up people might think he was trying to give them a blow job.
  18. Is Cortese going to make a show? Perhaps he'll come along to be chairman of the promotion team, given that without him there wouldn't have been a promotion team. What with him leaving Saints on good terms with his head held high I'm sure he'd love to come and see his old friends and colleagues, not to mention to be able to say a proper goodbye to the fans.
  19. If it's "sensible commentary" or "constructive debating" you're after I'd suggest that this isn't the place for you pal.
  20. I'd say this is more apt
  21. The problem is We're never quite sure if it's you posting or your son racing round the desk to login as you when you pop downstairs for a sugar top up. Don't you like your nickname though? I'm quite proud of the Troll fro lim the Tyrol. If you were a wrestler (sumo) it'd be fantastic. "In the red corner, weighing in at 320 ibs, the Troll from the Tyrol, it's alpine Saint"
  22. And if we had finished second the troll from The Tyrol would be on here whining that we bottled the league, we'll never win anything etc. But at least we've come a long way since his "we don't belong in the premier league" days.
  23. Something about les Reed not being able to convince players stay
