Cranie is, was and always will be sh*t. There's a reason he was shipped off to Yeovil and never played for us. A Charlton supporting mate told me he was abysmal for them. Why people like you still cream yourself over him is beyond me.
By the same token, were you there at Portsmouth, Boro and Villa away? Bolton at home? Even his last game at home to a poor Blackburn side we were bloody lucky. I'm sure Sturrock would have done a hell of a lot better than Wigley and he might have kept us up, but I think there were a lot better options out there when we first appointed him. (Not Hoddle though)
Agree completely. The fans have absoultely nothing to with the position we are in now. It's just a pathetic exuse used by the apologists for the board/team.
The only chance we have is if he appoint a proper manager, even then we'd still be up against it. I predict we'll be down well before the last game at Forest. We're already 4 points behind the 4th bottom team, Barnsley (Who have a better GD and have a game in hand).
I wasn't around at the time, but surely has to be Lawrie Mac? Only manager to win a major trophy, took us to our highest ever position, regularly had us in the top ten of the division, signed the likes of Keegan
Apparently Bosignwa got off because the incident was spotted by the officials at the time, and you can only go back and punish people retrospectively if the incident hasn't been dealt with in the game already.
4 in 4 for Saga
7 in 30 McGoldsh*t
If we hadn't wasted half a season with that lazy tw*t up front and not loaned out Saga we'd probably be out of the drop zone at the moment.
Doubt they would have been too impressed when he was in midfield, although he did ok when he moved back after we went down to 10. Still a massively overrated player though.
We were woeful first half, much better second half, although we still didn't really create much. All three subs Saga, McLaggon and Euell should have been on from the start IMO. Size looked good too.
