List of crazyness that has happened with lowe in charge
Papa Shango replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
The whole Sturrock/Wigley farce at the start of the 2004/05 season. No way did we have the worst team player for player that season. If we'd have had a proper manager in charge the whole season we would have stayed up, instead Lowe gave Sturrock all summer to sign players, prepare the team etc when he knew he had doubts about him. Should have got rid of him from the start and put someone else in charge (or keep Sturrock for the whole season). Anyone with half a brain could see Wigley was completely out of his depth from day one. We dropped vital points against teams around us when that clown was in charge of us. Not backing the team enough during the relegation season and our first season in the Championship. Hate to say it but had we given Redknapp a bit more cash we would have almost certainly got automatic promotion. We still had the likes of Niemi and Walcott for the first half of that season. We were only a couple of players off a really good side (for the championship). Instead we were ****ing about with SCW, Clifford, eye gyms and all that crap. Getting shot of Pearson, a man who 95% of fans backed. He was the best thing to happen to us for a while, clearly a decent manager at this level, but he wasn't Lowe's man so he had to go. Some people say we can't afford him, but we managed to afford JP, Wotte, Gorre, Forecast, Pulis etc. -
Tickets already on sale mate. Got mine, hopefully be quite a few of us going up on the train. Should have a good support.
-
And quite rightly so.
-
Agreed, although it's pretty close.
-
Don't know what planet nickh is on. The fans get behind the team and they are still crap, it makes no difference. It's just a shame a lot of the anti Lowe fans don't turn up now and we don't get more protests.

Just about hope Spurs win but can understand how you feel. Would be great to see both go down, not that we'll be around to play either of them though.

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best left Side Striker
Papa Shango replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
Quite right, everyone knows Kanchelskis was a midfielder. David McGoldrick. -
Total ****e. The whole team look completely clueless. They seemed to just walk it in on the second goal. JP OUT! LOWE OUT!
-
Who's the one who picks/coaches the players? JP is clueless, one win in 14 at home is a joke. We need him gone now if we even have the slightest chance of staying up.
-
Surely Rangers can do a lot better than Baird?
-
Leave it out, Pahars was a hero for us. Made John Terry look like a park player when we won 4-2 at Chelsea. Will never forget the goal at the Northam against the Skates either.
-
I think he's a decent player, but £6m was a great deal for someone who had only had one good season in the Championsh*t.
-
Agreed. Another big shot like Cranie who thought he was a lot better than he is. Can't understand why loads of people on hear still drool about those two. Cranie didn't only play one game for us in our last season for nothing, he is garbage.
-
Maybe some people just don't want him in the A team?
-
Yeah bit disappointing really, nobody really stood out or looked anything special for us which is slightly worrying seeing as we are relying so much on our young players.

Saints Greatest XI - B-Team Right Side Striker Poll
Papa Shango replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
Wouldn't it have just been easier to do one poll for the strikers with the top two going in the a team and the next two in the b team? -
Most hated- Redkunt Worst- Wigley (Hon mentions to Gray and Burley)

the things the fans have said over the years
Papa Shango replied to Alain Perrin's topic in The Saints
What the **** are you on about? Maybe a couple of people on the internet said those things, but 95% of fans thought Wigley was completely useless from day one. Everyone I spoke to thought he was a clown. He didn't get those "you don't know what you're doing" chants for nothing. To say you couldn't move for people bigging up Wiggers is ridiculous. -

"George Burley should be given five-ten years to get things right" A comment made on SF many times in his first few months here. I remember I got absolutely slaughtered at the start of the big spending 2006/07 for saying Burley should go if he didn't get us promoted. Just over a year later everyone wanted him out. -

From me December 2004: "Harry and Jim will bring the good times back" -
Thanks

Terrible game, both teams were pretty poor to be honest. I've been very critical of McGoldrick this season, but credit where credit is due, he's done the business the last few games for us. Saga didn't get into the game much, but it was good to see him back. Saeijs made the occasional mistake but apart from that looked solid. Davis made some great saves yet again and Schneiderlin had a good game too. We've played better and lost plenty of times so we probably deserved that bit of luck. Absolutely must must win against Donny now

Southampton FC appear twice in Evening Standard Top 10...

Harsh on Quashie. Was one of our few decent players that season, and one of the few who looked like they gave a sh*t.
