  1. The Van Nistelrooy goal at SMS in our last Prem game (West Brom scored either seconds before or seconds after, leaving us with pretty much no hope. Obviously the Fratton game. Absoultely gutless display from everyone. Getting thrashed by Watford in the cup in the same season was pretty humiliating as well. Also, Luton away our first season down in the championship. I must admit, I thought we'd have enough to go straight back up first season, so losing to a newly promoted team straight away was a big reality check.
  2. Easy Doncaster win
  3. Don Valley is definitely the weirdest place I've ever watched football. People talk about these players putting in more effort than the ones from last season, but I just don't see it. These lot are just as lazy and useless as they were. I keep thinking it can't get any worse, but it always does. So depressing following Saints these days, there's absolutely nothing to get excited about now. How far are we going to fall?
  4. Yeah it's much more fun in this league watching us getting tonked by teams like Hull, Preston, Palace, Sheffield Wednesday etc...
  5. Also we often did do well against those teams. We won at Anfield in 1998 and 2003 (I think) were seconds away from winning against a brilliant Arsenal team in our relegation season, and regularly won against all those teams at home.
  6. Not my fault Surman isn't very good.
  7. Why? tw*t
  8. Surman should be left back in the dressing room
  9. Agreed. Trouble is we didn't bother to sign a proper right back in the summer to take his place.
  10. Load of ********. The Prem has plenty of clubs with worse support than us (Wigan, Portsmouth, Bolton, Fulham, Blackburn etc) You can't expect us to get 30,000 crowds with the rubbish on show at the moment.
  11. No.
  12. I don't mind Claridge to be honest. Whenever I hear him on the radio he always has nice things to say about us. I heard him on the coach on the way back from Exeter and he said that we were the best team 2006/07 and should have gone up instead of Derby.
  13. Yeah it's been a right bundle of laughs getting thrashed against teams like QPR, Preston, Sheffield Wednesday, Crystal Palace, Hull etc over the last few years. Would you prefer us to be in the Conference then? Because I'm sure our tickets would be even cheaper then. Tickets might be cheaper in the Championship, but it's not exactly free is it? £30 for QPR, £25 for Derby, £25 for Palace etc.
  14. Wasn't just him though was it? Beattie, Beckham, Cascarino, Thatcher and others have come out publicly criticizing his management style.
  15. Just because he's not as bad as some other managers, doesn't make him good. He managed to fall out with everyone at Spurs and had people like Tim Sherwood coming out publicly saying he should be sacked. They were heading for a relegation scrap before he left. He had a decent Championship squad at Wolves and spent a fair bit of money (On people like Frankowski who scored a grand total of 0 goals) Many Wolves fans complained that it was the most boring team in years. The season after they got rid of him they got into the play offs, even after losing a lot of their better players and having little money to replace them. Did well at Swindon, but that was partly because he was playing as well. Average at Chelsea, average at England, good with us, rubbish at Spurs and Wolves. Hasn't done well since 2000/2001. Why don't we get that Ipswich manager, he did really well that season as well. Oh....
  16. He had a good year for us, and that was a long long time ago now. He's been a total disaster since.
  17. Been critical of him in the past, but fair play to him, he's been brilliant so far this season.
  18. Didn't want here in 2004 and don't want him here now. Not just because he's a complete an utter c*nt, but also because he's not very good. He'll never come in the state we're in now anyway.
  19. Why do you talk like Sturrock and Hoddle were the only choices? There were dozens and dozens of managers available at the time who would have been far better than both of those two, who are and always were no more than average. And it wasn't the fans who made the decision to appoint Strurrock so I don't know why you're blaming them.
  20. Or, Hoddle takes over and falls out with all the players (Like he's done many times) and we go down anyway and end up in exactly the same position as we are in now.
  21. That skate **** Crouch got one against Everton (Before he ****ed up at the end, costing us two vital points) Apart from that I can't remember many. His throw ins were as useless as his general play.
  22. Hall wasn't the greatest player in the world, but he was certainly a lot better than Higginbotham, who cost us so many vital points that season with his stupid mistakes. Not that it matters now
  23. Had a great view of it from the upper tier and I thought straight away that it was a definite red card. Stupid challenge, he deserved to go I'm afraid.
  24. Shepherd would be a disaster. He is as bad, if not worse than Lowe. Newcastle were one of the most badly run clubs in the country when he was there, why anyone thinks he would be good for us I don't know.
  25. Was only in my seat for about five seconds before the first goal. Kelvin kept us in it for a large part of the game, made some excellent saves. Dyer was our best outfield player imo. Couldn't see it very well from the other end, but everyone said the second QPR goal was offside, so 4-1 probably flattered them a bit. Still, 3 points from 5 games isn't a great start. We desperately need something next couple of games.
