Shane Long. I know, I know, he's been out for a while but (and this isn't just based on this game), I think he is an awful excuse for a premier league footballer. He's got pace, and a decent work rate but, work rate is a standard requirement these days in the PL. So, ok he's got pace. That's no good if you have poor control. I think he's an ok player but he's certainly not worth what we're paying him and all this nice PR coming out of the club about him this week is just that, PR, or some effort to make him appealing to a potential buyer come January. it's just setting up the situation. I'd be amazed, and appalled actually, if he was offered an extension.

I think we'll finish the season stronger than we started it, I don't know why, I just have a feeling. Jrod will be fitter and hopefully back to his best by the turn of the year and other players such as Clasie and Juanmi will start showing their qualities (RK) then too. Overall, I'm thinking our squad depth will make the difference when it comes to the second half of the season, and momentum is everything. Moving up from 10th to 6/7th.

If I was his team mate and I knew he was faking the illness to avoid playing (and I think the players probably know the truth) I wouldn't be able to forgive the guy. I'd be fuming!!

Spot on and not just cos he wants to leave but his level is outside the top 6 IMO. Can't see any of the top 6 wanting him, so spurs are the max extent of his ambitions I guess.
