While you're taking the mick and while I'm not RH's biggest fan, I could actually see this happening and would thus keep him. He is a bit one-dimensional; I've said it before when I compared him to BFS, but he will work hard, adapt as best as he can and get things going in the right way again. Nice to hear the club want to keep him. And it's good he has pride in his work and himself; that's why we should keep him: he'll want to get it right.
-
He can be offended by whatever he likes. That's his choice. But if he's Chinese and offended by someone referring to someone else separately on something that he (apparently, based on your phrasing, is unaware of said thing) who is a man as a 'man' and Chinese as 'Chinese', well ...that's a worse state of affairs in terms of assumed privilege than someone referring to 'some old white man on an internet forum' which itself sounds 'racist' is it not?
-
Um. He's playing for a professional outfit against the equivalent of Sunday League teams. If he didn't look good against them, I'd sue Ross and Reed for the greatest degree of negligence it was possible for anyone to have in this situation. Ross County's capacity is about 6500. That puts them at league one/two level.

That's a lot of help. Think back to how unsettled the club was before Gao took over. Sounds like it'll be like that, but worse.
-
I agree. I've said before he's well-coached, but he's not a natural footballer i.e. he doesn't 'get the game' so he's not really a player in my eyes. I do think he's reached his ceiling now and I hope he has a good season so we can sell him (please).

"They" = plural, used after a semi-colon. Refers to the fans of other teams who rate him. I'd stopped after 'muppet' when talking about Southgate.
-
Southgate's a muppet; they don't see him play and believe the quoted dross on telly. A fair few also do see how weak and ineffective he is. There's your answer. And doesn't PEH (who I don't especially rate) play for Denmark and wasn't he playing for them at a very young age?
-
Sounds like you're trying to do that. It's plain that in this place most's opinions are their own and few are persuaded to change them.

Based on your "appreciation" of football, I'd say under Puel we won every game, every league, everything. Based on simply reading what you've written you not only fail to make a convincing argument but more seem to actually support the counter-argument that you dislike. Shots that go 200 feet over the bar all the time might count as shots but otherwise are a hazard for low-flying aircraft rather than the goalkeeper. A daisy-cutter is not a good chance but an opportunity for the the opposition fans to take the **** out of the effort. Etcetera. Sheffield United had more, better chances than we did. They also had David McGoaldrought. Bournemouth had far fewer chances, slacked off in the second half, but were capable of scoring and we didn't so much play offside for King's ruled-out goal as lose the player and let him get it wrong. I assume that's why Long isn't playing: the VAR highlights of him being offside would double the length of the game. We played a middle of the rang side who played badly in the second half and overall we were worse where it mattered (both boxes, as always). That's it. As for the comment about having a team that can play in multiple ways, that's not so much of a new thing and Eddie Howe does it as do many others so it's nothing special and nor should it be with professional footballers unless they really can't do a bloody thing without someone else pulling their strings (and they can on the continent, so why are footballers in this country then so different?). If we do need to experiment, get 3-0 up and do it in the last 20 mins like we used to do when introducing youth players into the fold. I had hoped for and expected a draw as we aren't particularly good so the defeat wasn't too much of a surprise. Let's win easily on Tuesday and this result will be forgotten.

5 points. Will keep us about 15th/16th.
-
Not entirely. We have some ok players, some poor ones and a couple of good ones. Our manager, when you actually look at what he does, is pretty much an Alpine Sam Allardyce rather than Klopp. He just does it in the 'modern' fashion of defend in their half and goes for early attempts rather than set plays.

Buy her some suppositories (?).

Yep. Would put those 3 above any of the 8 listed.

Cedric Soares - Official: Loaned to Arsenal
Dangermouth replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Cedric has to back off as far as he can as far as is practical. After a certain point, backing off becomes useless; before that he presents the attacker with the dilemma. With his position he has it so that Mata has little space in which to work and is close to the by-line and James is then in an area where he has a good chance of a shot being effective. At that point he has to close James down and have it that either someone else can come over, the pass is under or over hit so Mata cannot control it or he makes James move backwards, outside or away because he's been closed down. Given his position he's already one step back too far possibly, but even if he's not he at the position he is has to then make something happen. Yes, it happens far quicker than we could manage it, but we're not used to playing at that speed and he is. I don't blame him entirely, but I think it might have been avoided had he pushed up. Even if the pass then goes to Mata, there is still work to do and he cannot do everything so would be at least said to have made a decision and he cannot go to Mata so that's really all he could do. In short I agree with mrfahaji pretty much. -
Damn. Fair enough.

Whoosh. It was obviously a ****-take.

Illiteracy.

It's the same in English. There isn't a word such as 'overview' by the way (there is, but it's wholly different); the correct way to say it would be something like 'good vision by Ings' in English. Don't worry, I won't correct your English all the time (even though I know that as an Austrian, you'd probably prefer to learn, unlike the English who think they know it all), but I thought I'd just point that one out. Which is the team that you support?
-
Yeah. They're variants of German, not different languages. You teach English, you know this.
-
I'd say he was at least as good as ours.
-
Well he has to put someone in the relegation spots and no one predicts their own team to go down for the most part so 3 teams' fans might get ****ed off. So what? g
-
Clever marketing ploy. If he does well, he'll get a lot of exposure and so will SFC every time he gets mentioned. As he'll be up against poorer defences he'll have more space to exploit and his pace'll help him no end. Playing regularly will help him too.

Callum Slattery - Official: Signs for Motherwell
Dangermouth replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Hesketh, to be fair, actually does work hard and put himself about. His problem was (and might still be) that's he a bit physically slight. Didn't used to be much of a fan of his but I reckon he's good enough for the league below subject to his ability to stay fit and pit himself against much stronger players. He did well at Burton. -
(1) Where will we finish in the league? - close to 15th unless we get a defender in. (2) Which round we will reach in the Mickey Mouse Cup? 5th/quarters. Get a bit of a head of steam up and then flop. (3) Which round in the FA cup? 5th again. (4) Leading Goalscorer? Adams by a mile. If you saw against Feyenoord, he showed a nice touch to take a crossfield ball down to him, so he's got a bit more there than power. That said, three games in and teams will have worked out to nullify him. (5) Our player of the season? Adams. (6) Which player will surprise you most? This would have to be someone new. If they play, either Slattery (cause I don't see much to him overall) or Smallbone for the same reason. Probably when they stop trying to play it safe and look to make things happen. (7) How do you think our great neighbors will get on down the M27? Promoted.
