If this manager can't have this squad comfortably clear or relegation then they have no business working in football. True, the clown doesn't. Wonder why there are no other circuses that'll take him apart from Gao Saints? Gaoing down, Gaoing down it looks like.

Burnley 1 Saints 1 - Match & Reactions Thread
Dangermouth replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
It's so tight because there are a lot of **** teams e.g. Burnley and because we have a **** manager in charge of a decent squad. -
How good do you think Saints squad is?
Dangermouth replied to Bit of a plonker's topic in The Saints
Relative to other PL squads - 9th or thereabouts. Relative to all the teams in the big leagues e.g. Germany - bottom third. As a standalone: capable but nowhere near good enough to be the team continually challenging for honours and European spots as LR would have said before we became a 'small club'. Anyone know what the 5 pledges are yet? I might have missed their announcement. -

Draw. We'll go 1-0 up and then defend until we concede.

Don't need credit with his pay packet, does he?

Problems with commentary on the Saints website...
Dangermouth replied to The Saint's topic in The Saints
I had the very same experience. I am now scarred for life and wonder what happened after the first few minutes as I will no longer go near anything resembling a television. I would say I avoid 'news' sites too, but I think that that as an entity was pushed out of existence circa 1992. -
Can't see why you capitalised 'captaincy'. Can't see the point in this either. I did think it was so stupid I had to comment, however. I also see no reason why 'the fans' should be 'acknowledged'. They will go come what may and have done so and will continue to do so years either side of Bertrand's tenure at the club. I'd also question why some think he wasn't interested in winning the game and would point to his goal-line clearance as evidence that he did. As for Gabbi, he seems to have been mucked around quite a bit so I can understand why he'd reached the end of his tether. Most of our forward line must feel like that at some time given the team's desire to continue to pass backwards when they reach the edge of the opposition's area as though they'd been told to do that by the manager.

But as Bertrand said: Romeu is the 'teacher's pet' so he's not going to have a go at him is he? If he's that concerned at looking at the players who are under-performing, he can look at himself.

It is. I like the way it's just one match at a time so that's all you concentrate on. Got WBA bottom, then us, then Stoke. 35 points looks enough to keep a team up based on what people have said and my guesses when added to that predictor also show that the team with 35 points stays up. I think that's probably about right but that the positions after the end of March are likely to not change a great deal after that so while it might be that mathematically 8 or 9 teams will still be in with a shout of going down it will really only be about the bottom 4 or 5 that are really the ones fighting for survival. I really don't see us getting another win until Austin comes back and by then we have (if he makes the last 8 games) 5 away where our chances are limited and 3 at home where one is Bournemouth so it'll be a difficult game, one is Chelsea and the last one against Man City. who may have other things on their minds. I think even City's reserves would do us though.

Voted sack him again. Hope I won't have to vote again as he'll be gone.
-
Really? And you aren't?

Secured his future? Financially he should be able to secure the future of his home town. He also doesn't come across as someone who'll spunk his cash up the wall so I believe he will be sorted. He might even get back to playing football too but as you've said it's likely the injury affected him mentally more than physically.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
Dangermouth replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
I hope it means that as he understands the role of the person he'll often be passing to that he'll be able to pick his passes better and understand what other options might be better in different circumstances. Also means he can play a variety of roles. -
Sarcasm or do you think he belongs in the intellgentsia? He does speak well, however. Agree with Derry about Hesketh. Now, if he can mix it, we might start to see things from him. Either that or he needs a loan now.

I see us getting 8-10 points. Think the crunch game is the Bournemouth one. http://www.soccerstats.com/h2h.asp?league=england&t1id=15&t2id=18

Yeah, but isn't that coaching for 5 year olds? Surely everyone knows to do that in those situations? Maybe SL was trying to do something different, or wasn't able to, or ... mind you; I've seen their pre-match shooting practice, so maybe not.

Wenger - money is removing competition from football
Dangermouth replied to Saint-Fred's topic in The Saints
How would it bring fans into effect? I think I much preferred the 3 post a day rather than Glasgow lite version: I tended to miss the three posts. -
Promoting self-reliance, mental strength, being self-critical, continually looking to improve, challenging himself, working hard to get better, keeping perspective, etc. Not being a mummy's boy and crying about it. Would expect that from a professional; wouldn't you?

Ross Wilson appointed as Director of Scouting & Recruitment
Dangermouth replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
Very sensible suggestion. -
WTF is that 'team'? Hoping to hit a Chris Hughton team away from home on the break? Does the clown read everything in reverse so he thinks that defence is attack or something?

Is there anyone on here who wanted Puel out who now regrets it??

Well his first post was quite explicit in that it referred to other things known and did indicate clearly that these were to form the basis of consideration so whoever s/he is I think they were right to say they'd said what was said which was enough. I cba to look at the stats before Alaves though and do wonder if MP is just someone who can learn to copy things but doesn't know anything actually and just repeats stuff which may or may not work despite his input. I guess we'll find out if he's still here next season as it should play out very differently from this regardless of which league we will be in.

What is it actually?
