  1. It's about time too - according to the man himself, I think his 'last job' was about three jobs ago!
  2. I'm guessing I'm not the only one that thought a draw or loss was an inevitability when we went two up? Terribly predictable.
  3. Check out this 'tard on Twitter... Fratton68 - BARKER OUT! "Pompey ST holder. Patriot. I hate Islam, immigration, lefties & libtards. #Bluehand"
  4. I notice pundits - including Mr. Lawrenson - are backing us for a win. It'd be nice wouldn't it?
  5. I'd rather support a club where we had a great deal of interest in our players than a club where everyone thought our squad was one massive pile of sh*te. Barry Fry at Peterborough once told his players 'the only reason you're playing for me at this club is because no one else wants you.' Would you want to support a club in that state?
  6. Not sure I agree. Good players putting in good performances will always attract outside interest, regardless of perceived uncertainty.
  7. Why? Because good players will attract interest. Is it that hard to fathom?
  8. I've not bought the most recent two home shirts because quite simply I didn't like them. Was I that bothered about the silver crest on black? No, not really, in fact I thought it looked alright. Can I understand some people worried about a loss of tradition? Yes I suppose I can a bit. I think it was Abraham Lincoln who once said “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time."
  9. I hear their next fundraising scheme is the Nigerian Lottery.
  10. "Jeez, even scum didn't sink this low" Er hang on a minute, they surpassed our lowest ebb a very long time ago now.
  11. I don't know why Carroll is even being mentioned. What's he done, other than spend long periods out injured - and by the way, he went AWOL when he was off injured - and scoring the odd goal here and there? I'm not even saying Lambert and J-Rod are the ultimate of options but Carroll has a lot of work to do to even get to their levels.
  12. Perhaps it's me then - it took me a few goes to understand what was being said.
  13. This. Norwich run Fulham a close second.
  14. I don't know how anyone can write anything so incomprehensible. That's a staggering level of ineptitude.
  15. Sweden sounds pretty damn boring.
  16. I'm reminded of that Sky series following Peterborough. Barry Fry turned to his players and said simply 'the reason you're playing for us, in this division, is because no one else wants you.'
  17. Who then is our Johan Cruyff figure?
  18. Now there's a terrifying thought.
  19. "Yes let's all not go. Less revenue, debt not paid off. Even worse players. More struggle. Let's all go. More revenue, debt paid off quicker. Better players. Maybe success. Not rocket science is it." I didn't know Peter Risdale was a skate?
  20. It's all on the back of their 'amazing' home support isn't it. So when those numbers inevitably tail off - and they will, because they'll be spending a second season in League Two and I imagine hardly any of their supporters signed up for two seasons of it - and the away fans start realising that it's not a once-in-a-lifetime trip anymore and those sales dry up too, where does that leave them? Totally f*cked - it's great isn't it!
  21. They've just announced an increased playing budget for next year. I think I'm going to enjoy what will inevitably follow...
  22. Nigel Reo-Coker? F*ck me they were scraping the barrel towards the end of that story weren't they!
  23. Tuned into the FA Cup the other day to hear 'and now to your commentary team, Sam Matterface and Clarke Carlisle.' Off. Bill Leslie has a horrible voice, can't stand him.
  24. We all know how P*rtsmouth fans love a good scrap - even if it means beating the sh*t out of their own and the very place in which they live, so it must come as no surprise that their amateur university boxers have won their seventh title. http://bit.ly/1epxUqs So all their fans asking for a bit of fight, try changing sport!
  25. From one extreme to the other - a thoroughly deserved call up for Luke Shaw. A thoroughly undeserved call up for Tom Cleverley. Glad to see Rodriguez has been given another go. I thought he looked quite nervous before he took to the field for his first appearance, hopefully he can do better, we certainly know he's capable of it.
