  1. Someone has set up an Alexander Buttner account on Twitter Whoever you are, please get a life.
  2. 'Grip on Reality' attribute would be good.
  3. 'If you Shea so!' says Brek, as the midfielder is linked with Southampton.
  4. Too busy guiding a Cypriot team to oblivion. Surprised he even got an interview there to be honest, his name ought to be associated with ****e around the world by now.
  5. I take it the black bits are lettering and it spells 'Saints'. If that is the case, it looks like it's being done in that horrible almost graffiti kind of style. I can't understand anyone that likes that. I think it looks crap. There's also a picture of the mural being done, featuring players. Next thing will be people kicking off at a lack of club icons on it and only current players.
  6. Unfortunately not, but he did have a trial with Arsenal this year, I've just read.
  7. I spoke to Grant Wahl, the leading soccerball journalist over there, and he reckons Shea is the real deal. I told him that he once said the exact same thing about Freddy Adu and he went rather quiet. As for the t-shirts, yes, we'll have some of that. Also Brek Shea's face in the Barack Obama type pictures 'Shea Quality' instead of 'Change' or whatever. Can we arrange a meeting to discuss designs etc? PM me.
  8. I think we can forget about signing Tom Huddlestone. Spurs don't want to sell him.
  9. The current job is done by Football League Interactive - since we're no longer in the Football League, there may well be a change. Who knows.
  10. Milner, who failed to provide anything of value throughout the entire tournament. One of his best qualities is his crossing ability, and we were all told that Sweden couldn't handle crosses into the box. He could barely run to a crossing position, let alone get one in. A perfect example of someone who appears to works hard, which means in the eyes of many that he's a good player. It's not so. I'm not saying he's a bad player, I'm saying he played badly in that tournament and after the first two games should have been dropped.
  11. Dunno about cowardice but it certainly wasn't the right decision to keep Rooney on - perhaps not even the right decision to play him in the first place. Then again, this is the manager who kept picking James bloody Milner.
  12. Bullet dodged - if indeed we were ever actually interested in him.
  13. He was offered £200 a week to stay at Blackpool. Amazing.
  14. Double that and you've probably got Reading's number.
  15. Do you know nothing? Mr. Bearsy has had a threesome. There was a whole thread on it. Though I suppose they could both have been munters.
  16. Have you read the thread? It's more about the author of the post making a pointless thread. Given where we've been in the past seven years, I'm delighted that we're showing ambition and more importantly enjoying success, but over analysing some comments that might be completely innocent is just stupid.
  17. You're right. I mean, when Jan Poortvliet took over, we were told we'd play Total Football and get a play-off spot. Okay we got relegated, but he said it didn't he? When Rupert Lowe said we should be challenging for the Champions League, how good was that? Okay we got relegated, but he said it didn't he? Oh and what about when we wouldn't sell Theo Walcott and Rupert Lowe was just inspecting Arsenal's training facilities, okay we sold him, but he said we wouldn't sell didn't he?
  18. Is this even worthy of a new thread? It's not as if we're going to get players over here and go "Yeah we reckon we're a decent team. Could stay up. Fancy signing?". There is such a concept as reading too much into things.
  19. It's good that we can laugh about 'that' statue now. I'd love to know how the **** that sculptor managed to get it so wrong.
  20. A Dutchman going ape over our stadium? Remind you of anyone...?
  21. 'All due respect' as in, none. When you watch as many games as the press officers of any football club do (i.e every single one in that club's season) I think you're more than qualified to make a judgement, and will know something about football.
  22. Chaplow was indeed quality for a good few games and then never lived up to those performances after he came back from injury. In one or two of the games he was absent, I thought we missed him. You'll never find me disagreeing on the whole running around = good performance bit though. Working hard doesn't mean playing well. Look at James Milner in Euro 2012. Always praised for working hard, yet he was terrible. Against Sweden we were all told that they were vulnerable from crosses so we had to get as many of them in the box as we could. Milner couldn't even beat his first man, let alone get a cross to Carroll's head. That's Andy Carroll - the huge target man.
  23. Friend of mine is the former Spurs press officer. His opinion of Jermaine Jenas, and I quote; "Everyone says he's an athlete. If he's such an athlete he can go and do the ****ing long jump" He's not much cop, basically. Hard to say that about someone with England caps and a decent record of top flight appearances, I realise.
  24. To be fair, I've probably had more issues with my Macs than I ever did with my PCs. I wouldn't go back to PC, but it's just a fact. If I didn't have Apple Care I'd have been royally ****ed. I've had to have a hard drive replaced right in the middle of writing my dissertation, for example.
