i'm sorry but are you talking about another player?? everytime he goes forward and loses the ball, he's virtually walking back, it's like a slow jog and that for me isn't a good engine. and he doesn't tackle at all, his attempts at tackling re pathetic, he pokes a foot out in the hope the opposition player will miss-control. a good example is routledge today, he was going past him everytime with ease, it was like he wasn't there it's a shame as 2 seasons ago he could have been "the next big thing", but he's flopped and after the last 2 performances really should be dropped. he's our weakest player and get's made to be shown as poor in this league, very very poor player.

I really don't see what the fuss and hype is about on surman todays performance is about average for him, and it was terrible...i really don't rate him. he looked lost out there today. no right foot, average passing skills, no strength at all, no aireal ability, no pace, no future in football IMO also, have heard a rumour we've already released BWP as his contract is up in the summer, and his police issues, but is just a rumour
-
I honestly can say i feel embarassed to call myslef a saints fan after that performance, that was well and truely pathetic. We looked as if we were only there to make up the numbers, and my god, surman was pathetic, a disgrace to the red and white shirt. He offered as much as he usually does...NOTHING!! and should have come off at half time instead of MS. We couldn't put 3 passes together i nthe first half, so we take off our best passer?? - what's the logic there? saga was quiet, and gillet, although very hard working, is sadly nowhere near good enough for this league! although after going 1-0 up i thought we might nick it, but in the end, we were lucky to get what we got. what makes tonight worse is that Rasiak has scored for Watford AGAIN...when are we goign to realise??

Portsmouth Manchester United Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool Tottenham Derby and one who relaly seems to score against us now (i think he has in his last 5 games) is Peter Agymang (Preston and now QPR)

Early predictions for Preston

i can see it now, the preston keeper tries to kick the ball, McGolrick being his lazy self doesn't get i nthe right position and it hits him and goes in. Mark Wotte is so happy by this he does 3 laps of the pitch doing the "channon" wheel and the 3rd time round gets pelted by burgers, hot dogs and bottles of coke by the one old bloke in the northam. -
the amount of ****e assistant managers lowe has given the top job to here?
-
Marvin Emmes from Middlesborough, David Healy, Rade Price or David Connolly all from Sunderland, Tomasz Kupisz or Antoine Sibierski both from Wigan Julio Santa Cruz from Blackburn i personally would like to see Connolly or Healy here as they know how to score goals at this level
-
ok no that's alright then, i just didn't know bring on the march!
-
just had a thought, i am in full favour of the walkout and will be doing it, but, the gates to go out of the ground don;t usually open until 70mins, so we won't be able to leave unless i am very much mistaken?
-
i think that was the worst performance i have ever seen saints perform. no battle, no idea's, no passion...nothing. all we seemed to do was hoof the ball long, now i can understand if we had a 6"8 striker, but we don't. United's defenders were laughing as they won every header with their eyes closed. The only 2 palyers that look good enough for this league are Davis and Saganowski. everyone else is **** poor. the manager was useless, the team are useless and the club is useless league 1 here we come!
-
i'd take dyer over holmes any day

Talking of swansea...they just gone 1-0 at pompey...the scorer...Nathan Dyer -
would this mean though that RL and MW would no longer be able to run the club? as i seem to recall every other team going into administration always seems to end up with new owners?
-
if we go into administration, would that mean lowe/wilde wouldn't be allowed to run our club? and as for the perfromance yesterday... Davis - The only one who looks like he wants to play for saints James - his usual useless self. would get skinned in league 1 Perry - Past it Saeijs - Over-rated. No communication Molyneux - Looked lost and was out of position most of the time. Can't pass. Surman - Why? why play him in midfield. Can't tackle, can't head, can't run, can't mark, no strength, no right foot, average passing at best Schneiderlin - same as Surman but can actually pass a ball Holmes - A winger with no pace?? **** poor BW-P - very very quiet McGoldrick - Would look ok in League 1 next season Saganowski - Tried hard, still getting used to playing with kids. Scored. Smith - 100 times better than Holmes, looked a threat when he came on Lallana - One good shot, nothing else. No end product. Also (would be interesting to hear you thoughts on this) but my dad has his own IT business stateside and him and a few of his mates (who also own companies in the states, not mega big ones, but big enough to be comofortable) approached Mr. Lowe and the Saints board about buying the club (the would have had enough money to whipe out the debts and give us a bit of spending money (not alot) and Mr. Lowe's exact words to my dad were "I'm not prepared to sell my shares in this club as Mr. Wilde and I are the ones to take us forward and we're making good progress"

and his scarily frightening lack of pace!! he runs slower than i walk

anyone know where i can listen to the match commentary online?

Top 5 best and worst player to play for saints in CCC
new_zealand_saint replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
ok well in my opinion, bale was poor. Hear me out, but he was a left-back, who had no positional sense at all, and couldn't mark to save his life! Unless i'm very much mistaken, these are two of the key abilities for a full-back? If he concentrated more on his defence than his hairstyle then he'd be a much better player. Don't get me wrong, hugely talented player who has potentially a great future in the game...just not at left-back and everytime i saw him i got worried when their right winger got the ball. Best: Niemi, Baird, Jones, Walcott and Guthrie Worst: Powell, Wright, Pericard, O'Halloran, Matthew Patterson -
I know this is slightly off topic, but i'm at uni in winchester, and we listen to Radio Hampshire (i think it's BBC) and they said they have commentary of the saints games. Does anyone know: a) the name of the radio station? and b) the frequency it is on the radio tuner thanks

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best LB.
new_zealand_saint replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
i'd go for Benali personally bridge was good, but didn't have the legendary status that benali had and as for bale...well, he couldn't defend to save is life!! for me, best £10m we ever made -
he's also scottish, which means he won't be able to be called up to the england team
-
has anyone got a video on youtube or anywhere on the internet of this game as i still to this day have never seen it, decpite being at the game
-
was that not the game where Le Tiss scored inside the first 2mins, they had Grobbelaar in goals and wore a yellow/gold strip? i think we were 4-0 up at one point, it was a night game and snowing? or am i thinking of another game?

Saints 0-0 Barnsley - Reaction/Doughnuts/Lucy Pinder Thread
new_zealand_saint replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
ok well, carrying on the trend, we were ****e today, had nothing going forward, we got into the final 3rd and then looked lost! and when ever we did shoot, the keeper could have been standing on his head because they were hit so weakly!! one plus point though which hasn't been mentioned. I thought the left-back, Mills, had a really solid debut. First 10mins he was obviously nervous and made a few minor errors, but from then on, looked sound and really hope it carrys on, as was really impressed by him.
