I've yet to see a genuine case. As far as I can see it's just a sop to the right.

Personally I see this game as a good indicator of where we are as a team.

Don't think anyone would have an issue with it, regardless of political leaning.

The spare bedroom is as about far removed from common sense as you can get. Three examples that I've direct experience of. 1) Mid 40s man, crippled, after being mowed down by a car, the driver convicted of attempted murder, has 2 bed council place. Wife is diagnosed with breast cancer in the Dec', she dies in the April. They then tell him he has to move or have his income cut although they have no 1 bed places in their inventory. 2) Divorceed man, wins court battle to have access to his 2 daughters, again has 2 bed property. Council tell him he has to move to one bed place which means his kids can't stay. Mother takes him back to court using the grounds of unsuitable property & looses the 2 nights per week he could of had them. 3) Mother of 3. Kids are taken into care and she is told she has to sort herself out, which she does, even getting a P/T job. Council tell her she must give up 3 bed place or face cuts, which she can't afford but if she gives it up she doesn't get her kids back.

I currently own a Specialized Crosstrail Sportsdisc, which I love but as I'm also banging out the tarmac miles I've decided on getting a road bike as well. Problem is that I'm genuinely unsure as to what offers VFM at an entry level. Set myself a budget of £600(ish) and will be looking at 3/4 hours in the saddle at the weekend and the occasional sportive. For an obviously intelligent fella he does make himself look really dense with some of his statements on this thread. FWIW I don't believe that we, humankind, are solely responsible for climate change but the idea that pumping billions of tons if sh.ite into the atmosphere, year after year, whilst stripping the trees off the planet isn't impacting planet Earth strikes be as naive. In addition, why anyone has an issue about renewables is beyond me. As a nation we should be focused on gaining energy security. Wars of the future will be fought over energy and why would we want to be reliant on oil from the Middle East or gas from Russia or West Africa?

It would appear most sane people accept that global warming is a combination of man made and natural events. Those who don't appear to be Tories who'd prefer to believe what big oil tells them.
