  1. Some people seem to miss the point spectacularly.
  2. I'm going with the lad. We will lose. Usual bedwetting cum stains will be out in force afterwards.
  3. Not where I work. No veils, end of. Also the same at all the Black Country colleges.
  4. The veil is nothing to do with Islam, it's merely cultural. Having taught in mosques and to female only Muslim classes for neigh on 6 years in the Black Country I feel confident enough to state that many, many Muslim women feel very uncomfortable with veiled women. They are considered far too extreme and a threat to progression Muslim women are making.
  5. Thanks for your help everyone, I really appreciate it. Never thought I'd get serious about it but I'd forgotten how addictive it could be.
  6. Anyone recommend some decently priced winter tights/bibs?
  7. The fact that Spurs fans don't use it in a derogatory way & that they have a large Jewish following seems to have passed you by. I know a Jewish D/S up here who has a large "Stafford Yids" flag that he takes to games with his two Jewish sons. He now needs to arrest himself & his kids. Until this subject was raised yesterday at the nippers football training I had no idea he/they were Jewish but they'd always described themselves as Yids.
  8. They were singing Yid Army today.
  9. No problems for me.
  10. Yes, it is. Spurs fans refer to themselves as Yids. The only time I've ever heard the term Yid is in reference to Spurs.
  11. I've never heard the term used in any other way but a football context.
  12. Not for me it isn't. 7 seater as back up.
  13. Whilst I applaud the OP for wanting to raise cash for a worthy cause I have to say WTF is so hard about not drinking for a month?! As for Movember, I'd been doing it for a few years, unsponsored, simply to raise awareness of male cancers, which allowing for where I work and the male members of my family that it's claimed, seems appropriate. I'll be after sponsorship next year, for a local kids hospice & H4H, ahead of a f**k off big bike ride!
  14. Turned my attention to a Volvo C30 now. BMWs, despite them being excellent cars, just don't do it for me (M Series excluded).
  15. Going to go down the tights route I think. If Badger can get me some discounted Giordana bibshorts for £50 then I'd be mighty obliged. They be perfect for BST.
  16. I'm going to have to submit and either get some cycling shorts or tights as I switch from average off road to bigger on road mileage. I'm starting to get sore. Anyone recommend some that won't break the bank but keep the soreness down?
  17. True story.
  18. By son, Y7, now has to pay £22 per Silver game. We no longer go to home games, it's simply far too expensive for an adult and 11yo.
  19. Same here.
  20. I actually know, for once, the real reason why wasps have been on short supply this summer. It's to do with a very warm period in Feb' lulling the queens out & then a prolonged snap killing them off and therefore colonies dying off. T'was on some R5L program.
  21. Same here.
  22. Well over priced for the casual fan when it's on the box. Only the "big" games will be sell outs this season.
  23. That's an excellent one. Like to think our club would do something for the long hauls up to Tyne & Wear.
  24. Stoke are supplying free away coaches for every away game this season.
