Complacency is that the issue or a new player?
hypochondriac replied to chi saint's topic in The Saints
Abd also don't continually harp on about league one minus ten when anyone suggests we aren't doing too well at the moment... -
I was just about to respond until I saw your point in brackets! If we don't spend the money then the figure is largely meaningless for the fans.
-
Oh I agree and I think most people have got used to this. It was a lot easier to handle though when the football was better and we didn't throw away our chance for more European games in such a pathetic manner. If we are going to play like we have this season then frankly I'd rather give some lesser players like brunt a go.
-
What evidence have you seen to suggest he will come good? I haven't seen anything to suggest the style of play will change markedly.
-
Do you not see a problem with how we are set up tactically for most games? Playing not to lose or to contain a leaf all the time is maddening and not what the majority of fans want to see imo. I think that our poor performances this year have been due to poor recruitment in the summer but I also believe we are not getting the most out of our players and we play a poor system which is down to puel. Koeman was much better tactically.
-
That's true but I can count om one hand the amount of times I have been pleased with a performance this season. I'm not sure how long we can continue with that even if the results get slightly better x
-
It seems to me that some saints fans are very happy with mediocrity. I think this is because if they called for a change they would also have to admit that our saints project has derailed slightly abd that actually we are just as liable to feck up as any other club. We are in no way superior to the likes of Stoke, West Brom or palace and our tactics in the transfer windows have finally caught up with us. Changes needed please.
-
Getting rid of puel now would be an admission of failure. I can't see them doing that.
-
I've been to Milan and Prague this year and seen absolutely pathetic performances. It's only after the last game that I finally snapped and I now believe puel has to go. It's not so much the results but the manner of our performances. They really have been incredibly poor for the majority of the season and it's not the entertaining football that fans want to see. We are now an extremely mediocre team whereas the last few years there has always been the promise of something greater.
-
Puel out now please. This has gone on long enough.
-
The problem with puel though is that even when we have got good results this year we have largely been pretty poor and rarely entertaining. No sign at all that we will play a brand of football that the fans will be happy with. Puel out for me for the first time this season.
-
Even when we have won this year our performances on the whole have been dull and slow. It feels slightly like we have lost our identity.
-
This has the feeling of a watershed game. If we lose this then you really have to start questioning puel and his methods. Is it too early to boot him out? I'm not sure but the lack of entertainment he is dished up this year should be a big factor in this.

This has been done to death but I don't agree that fear of refugees was the reason for brexit at all. -

Why would you make up some silly thing like that? I already said what the sensible thing would have been from Merkel. She advertised the fact that Germany was open to all and they flooded in. Lunacy. -

I already said earlier that there are many Muslims who have successfully integrated into British society and share most of the values that I would consider important in order to coexist with others in a western democracy. My issue is not with them. My issue is with those who have been unable to do that and who are a danger to our society and way of life. It has generally been agreed (I think) that this is a proportionally higher number than can currently be found elsewhere. I think this is a problem and there should be debates about what can be done to solve this problem that doesn't devolve into people screaming islamaphobia at each other. Thank you for the sympathy. Cancer is a horrible disease. -

Merkel should have let refugees in. What she shouldn't have done is allowed mass uncontrolled immigration which included those dangerous Muslims that are causing many of the issues in Europe. -

We probably are but thankfully we didn't do a Merkel so our chances are less than Germany. -

As idiotic as that comment was, he wasn't saying he Muslims should be banned. He said there should be a temporary halt until they know what is going on. It's still stupid but not quite as dumb. -

I said thankfully the tactics of the regressove left are no longer working. Sadly- in part as a consequence of leftist tactics- the world has ended up with Trump- though in truth Hillary would in many ways have been worse. Why you thought my earlier statement made me a Trump supporter I have no idea. -

So in summary you didn't actually read a single word I said and jumped straight to "you're a trumpite, you want to remove all refugees from the country and stop immigration, you're a racist and sexist." what a bizarre attitude and I shouldn't really have to say it but I don't think any of that at all. The fact that you just read what you wanted to read says it all. Like I said, the attitude of people like you is why Trump is in power and why the identity politics of the left is being roundly defeated across the globe. -

Why are you confining this conversation just to England? You know exactly what I mean. There have been a disproportionately high number of terrorist attacks around the globe committed by followers of Islam. -

Well my mother in law died last year but I've often questioned my father in laws beliefs. His views on Jewish people for example are just bizarre. If you know any Arabs then you would be aware of how stubborn they are. Lovely bloke though even if some of his opinions are strange. I'm hardly going to scream at him about his religion, he is my father in law after all. -

What a bizarre thing to say. I welcome all foreigners here as long as they respect the rule of law and integrate into British society. Many Muslims are able to achieve that successfully (my wife's family for instance.) I'm not going to deny though that there is a clear problem within the Islamic faith that means we are seeing more and more of these attacks from followers of a poisonous religion. It's been a consistent tactic from the left to label anyone who expresses this concern as racist or throw around made up words like Islam phobic or imply that you are against all Muslims. Thankfully this tactic is no longer working and it's why you have seen rejections of these empty arguments with the rise of fools like Trump. The problem of Islam needs to be dealt with and hopefully Germany will elect someone with a more coherent policy than Merkel. Flinging open the doors to anyone that fancied coming in was idiocy and they are paying for it now and all because she felt residual guilt from German history. She has blood on her hands. -

I didn't mention specific attacks. Those you mention are however members of the same ideological group that are committing these atrocities.
