  1. A couple of people have reported that he is rather annoyed with some of these departures and the situation was not what he thought it was. Not saying it's true but it wouldn't surprise me.
  2. Couldn't be much worse than a patronising know it all post from you.
  3. That's a pretty big statement to make. I dot think it has been that obvious to be honest.
  4. Thanks mate for the info. True or not, it's interesting to debate on the forum especially as it tallies with what I heard when we went up.
  5. Well the financial difficulties bit was clearly nonsense but the first few statements were very encouraging. A real shame that it's turned out to be utter rubbish.
  6. I think that the term meltdown is quite appropriate now.
  7. Based on what? Why is it anymore unlikely than anything else that has gone on this summer?
  8. The truth is there are no answers really, or at least it any answers they want to give the fans. They are hardly going to admit we have lost our ambition or that they have handled things so badly that even players like cork or fonte want to leave.
  9. Genius strategy from kat. Keep the fans onside just long enough to trouser the majority of cash from player sales.
  10. Fair enough. Another unwanted record for the South coast clubs!
  11. I preferred a strategy as outlined by one. I would have preferred a more honest approach as it was much trumpeted when this lot came in. Something like we may sell some players this summer but they will be replaced and we will look to build on the excellent work of last year would have been fine. It amazes me that people still continue to defend the board despite this unprecedented selling of players.
  12. Jay rod? Seriously why would Morgan want to stay?
  13. No I don't believe they have unless maybe pompey did when they got bust.
  14. It's not pessimism, it's looking at what has gone before and being realistic about it.
  15. Probably. Can't see any of the guys at the top making any sort of statement though. Will probably send out the Gareth bloke. They wouldn't dare make another statement about other clubs bidding for our players though as even they can no longer pretend that that statement had any substance.
  16. You are probably right. At least in that scenario though our expectations will be suitably dampened. The worst thing about this summer is the higher expectations last season gave everyone which makes losing everything over one summer that much harder to take.
  17. They can't justify it so they won't try. It will be a similar statement Imo to the lovren one and when they do finally make a signing they will send Koeman out to big it up.
  18. People would believe the club if their statements weren't directly contradictory to their actions.
  19. Hopefully that means we would get a proper buyer and not some chancer.
  20. I expect it will most likely be irritable and sweary directed towards the team and board.
  21. Does seem like the club have misled the fans and probably planned these sales a while ago. Would be nice if they knew they can't keep doing it indefinitely without getting some abuse back.
  22. Saints probably cheaper than both of those though, in the prem and with the best academy in the country. I could think of worse clubs to buy. If Wigan can get a buyer then we can.
  23. She could conceivably pocket 70 million and sell the club for another 70. Probably make more that way than selling with the players.
  24. That's not true though is it. If that was football life then it would happen to every club. But it doesn't.
  25. Because signing enough to ensure we stay up whilst making a huge profit is the ideal scenario for an owner who wants to sell.
