  1. Good suggestion that's the kind of info I like to see on here. Maybe if we sell Edozie we will go for him.
  2. I'm fine with unearthing a few hidden gems. I must be honest and say that I don't feel like we have made moves yet that show we mean business this year. An awful lot is going to hinge on how many of Downes, THB, Dibling, Fernandes and Ramsdale we keep. Hypothetically if we kept most of them I can live with the window being quite quiet and maybe just bringing in a few players with some potential.
  3. Do Leeds or Burnley have any players not good enough for the prem worth pinching? Might be a good place to start.
  4. We need experience AND a squad refresh given the events of last season and because we want to change our style of play.
  5. In light of this new Afghanistan debacle-largely caused by the truly despicable tories it must be said- good to see we have a government ushering in a transparency revolution.
  6. Agreed. I'd be inclined to give him a chance and see what he can do. In a lower pressure environment it is generally a bit more difficult to be really poor from full back and he does have a decent cross so may be able to contribute well to a will still team.
  7. I was hoping for 12 at least to really remove them as a threat.
  8. That's a bit less than I thought. Will they appeal and get less?
  9. I'd love to see Dibling doing really well with us this season, not just because it's good for us but it would ultimately be good for him too. I can't see a team paying what we'd like for him because he's just too much of a risk and I reckon he could get lost.
  10. Very hard to draw implications from friendly games but I'd much rather win them than be scrabbling for positives.
  11. There's a thread on one of the forums here called something like small things that irritate you and it's packed full of little annoyances like that. I assume you think that every person on there has serious issues too? Like I said, it's not going to change my life either way but given the choice I'd rather things like that didn't happen.
  12. Yes I suppose I could do that but I've been using it for years and am a creature of habit so it was an unnecessary thing to change. Like I said though that's a very minor personal irritation but there's a few there so I can see why people get a bit annoyed about the pushing of certain agendas.
  13. If only it were that easy. I would suggest that the fact the likes of Aribo bednarek and ABK are still here is not a good sign and rather suggests that they have rather less interest that we perhaps thought they might. Maybe we will see some loan outs.
  14. There's loads to love about England and the UK. The green spaces, the traditions and the humour are some of the things I love. I've always enjoyed visiting London but very glad to leave once I do so I can't say it's anywhere near the best for me - Rome and in fact many places in Italy are miles better along with parts of France - but I accept thats a personal thing. Smaller villages with that sense of community still intact are great too.
  15. News channels often do it, stats are equated together (England's top goalscorer frequently includes the women, record wins etc) loads of times I've clicked on a link showing for example man city playing only to realise it was women's football and had failed to be labelled as such. Female pundits are invited on to talk about using their experience to tell us how male players will be feeling when it's not remotely comparable. One smaller bugbear for me is that sky sports live score centre have put the women's tables next to the Premier league one and above all other men's leagues so I have to continually scroll past it to get to the men's scores that I actually want to view. Like I said it's not some high crime but I can see why it causes a build up of irritation over time.
  16. Maybe resentment is the wrong word. I can see why people get frustrated when it's continually equated as being the same thing.
  17. I do understand a certain amount of piggybacking off the wildly popular men's game. Smart marketing is to have a link in some way because much of the interest will come from the historic value placed in the men's game so your local team, the England national team and all their symbols etc. I can support all that, it's just an irritant when people don't make the distinction or seem to think they're the same thing when they're not. If the women's football happens to be on I can find myself having a watch and taking an interest and it will provide me with some entertainment if I see the England women's team win a tournament. It is entirely separate though and I think that's where a lot of the resentment comes from.
  18. I agree. As long as the media don't try to equate the two or anything like that then I'm more than happy to celebrate the two separate things.
  19. This seems like bollocks to me but goodness if that is even close to true.
  20. It's really not deep I simply said I thought Norwich had made some astute signings and I could see them making the playoffs.
  21. Replacing Bazunu is for me the acid test of this regime. Do they have the ruthlessness required to do what everyone knows needs to be done? If we keep him and McCarthy with no one else then there won't be the proper change needed.
  22. Leeds did the same last year and it didn't harm them. It's about building a tram and they look to be recruiting well. Obviously losing those two isn't great but it doesn't mean that they aren't building a decent team that could be up there for promotion.
  23. Not a chance are we signing another cb.
  24. Norwich are building a dedent team. I reckon they'll get playoffs.
  25. Just do the obvious thing saints. Johansson we should have signed last season as backup and binned off McCarthy. He's obviously good enough for this league and probably good enough backup for the prem. He'd most likely be a few million which is easily affordable.
