  1. Watch the replay. With all the fouls he gave, no matter how slight the contact, you are right, but the one he didn't give was as much if not more of a foul than most of those he gave.
  2. Probably Adkins getting his own back. Seriously if the lad sees doubling his money as an attractive proposition it won't matter what anybody says. It's football and the same for us.
  3. Totally inconsistent. On the replay it clearly showed bodily contact pushing Mayuka, of course he went down. Webb was giving fouls all afternoon for a lot less bodily contact outside the area. If it's a foul outside the area it's a foul inside. I do feel with Webb and a few other high profile refs like Dean, Halsey, Klattenburg, if it was Van Persie,Rooney, Tevez, Torres etc they would be racing over to the penalty spot.
  4. Maybe if Schneiderlin gave him the ball instead of passing backwards and sideways we'd get more out of him.
  5. I thought he was fine, needed better service though.
  6. Cork was outnumbered in midfield because Schneiderlin was awful. We lost it in central midfield because we were closed down quickly and when we did have the ball as soon as it went to Schneiderlin it went backwards/sideways or to the opposition or the back four on the way to Davis. Even if there was space in front, more often than not he turned towards his own goal. If we have quick players up front we have to put the ball into the space behind the defenders it's just a waste of time to make them face their goal and then pass to them, today it was crying out for through balls due to the conditions making it difficult to turn. Ramirez is a good player but again he has to be given the ball we should be using him as the key playmaker, today he went long periods without seeing the ball, we need to get him on the ball as often as possible.
  7. No operation. still in brace.
  8. Forty years on does anyone even think the truth will come out. Two sides, innocents stuck in the middle, politicians etc. It's over let it go. The legend will live on depending which side of the line you stand on. Leave it there.
  9. Paine and Davies were a unique pairing. Paine was the best crosser of a ball around, whilst Davies was the best header of a ball I've ever seen.
  10. Another one. Terry Paine. Two promotions, played a massive part in our early success.

    Luke shaw

My wife's grandfather did four years at the front in WW1, worked in the docks until 70, chainsmoked into his sixties and lived to 90. Not exactly an ideal lifestyle but he was active until the day he died. Must have done something right.
  12. We see his father at SMS most matches unless he is upstairs with AL, will probably know today if true.
  13. Not the best player but for me probably the most influential. Ricky Lambert, JPT, promotion in successive seasons, and could score the goals to keep us up.
  14. Arsene Wenger only ever sees it his way. If it is something wrong, he didn't see it. Has no trouble talking about and unsettleing players he wants but bleats when it happens to him. Technically a great manager but otherwise a complete knob. Luke Shaw anybody:facepalm:
  15. It's hammering down West of Southampton. It's got to be puddleing at SMS, watch the OS.
  16. The downside of playing the top sides early was the poor results but the upside was the steep learning curve against the the very best which we are now benefiting from when playing sides that are not in that class.
  17. So what did Shawcross get for holding him in. The rules say, penalty and booked. No reply needed, it's a joke. Referees need to give penalties for holding as the rules require. Even if it means loads of penalties because that would stamp it out.
  18. Last year my policy through RAC with Aviva didn't give fully comprehensive cover driving abroad, but If I took out a new policy and cancelled the existing one it would be automatically covered. The RAC girl waived the penalties (6 months left), cancelled the policy and took out a new one with Aviva identical but slightly cheaper. Your wife's problem may be the new European non-discrimination law now not giving women favourable terms. Just a guess.
  19. £3m and Southampton wages - yes. But it won't happen.
  20. Last season my ST averaged £19 ish this year £28 ish. In our current league I think Adult £20 concession £15 fair.
  21. Is it claimable on Parliamentary expenses?
  22. Early 90s
  23. Probably no film in it. Happened to me at the A24/A272 xroads when I ran the amber light in the early hours, nothing else on the road, never heard anything.
  24. Due to advice from a hot shot lawyer, after a police car hit my girl friend's car, I served a notice of intended prosecution on the local Superintendent, The look on his face was worth it. I got Ken Wallis who hated the police after they tried to stitch him up over an accident but failed, to air survey the road from the autogyro he used for home office work. When they found out about it the Special Branch people that used to visit the airfield asked my boss to see if he could persuade me to let it go as the driver had had three previous accidents and was up for the chop. I was offered an airline job the next week so left the area but the police didn't want to know and dropped the whole threat to the gf.
  25. By my reckoning £8m is for the 2013 PP in total. £4m for Feb, £4m for August. Additionally will the Premier pay it to the FL/FA to cover the £8m settlement to the contracted players?
