    Puncheon

Does this not say more about the poor standard of the England team than about Puncheon's ability.

    Tadanari Lee

After a few games in which he looked a good footballer he badly injured a foot needing bone restructuring. After getting near to fitness he suffered an arm/elbow injury. He has played a couple of games and needs to regain fitness but IMO he will figure in the squad in the fullness of time.
  3. Lieutenant Colonel, christian name Roger.
  4. It was his ammunition. I think pleading guilty is the main problem along with a knob JA.
  5. No, first time, he might have been to the states but he was at Frimley. Another relation commanded a field ambulance at Catterick before the Falklands, after retirement was chief exec of the Staffordshire Ambulance Service until they merged and he retired.
  6. My cousin is serving as a doctor at a firebase on the front line in Afghanistan. I'm sure any wounded he has to try and keep alive until casevaced would appreciate any experience he has over and above normal hospital trauma treatment.
  7. Firstly IMO outrageous. Secondly Mike I think the Glock was planned to be decommisioned and displayed at Hereford and was packed in his kit by others after he had left Afghanistan to accompany bodies to the UK. He then suffered a coma/brain damage before this was done and suffered a memory loss forgetting what was in the kit. It was the police on a tip off from the estranged partner of a colleague staying in the same property looking for alleged ammunition found the Glock. I would have thought a warning would have been appropriate.
  8. So what happens if Portpin say bid £13.6m for the ground which they maintain is the value? They are secured creditors for £17m so in theory they would in effect pay nothing except legal costs and take possession of the ground. The value would be irrelevant as any money in PFC goes to Portpin. Surely that would scupper any attempt to buy the ground at a knockdown price. The Administrator would have no room for manoeuvre and a court case wouldn't work, would it?
  9. I hope all the people that are advocating playing Boruc have seen him display the alleged qualities enough times in important games for his previous teams, because he sure has hell hasn't displayed much quality in his three games for the club so far conceding nine goals.
  10. Same team.
  11. Short interview then?
  12. Sums the situation up accurately IMO.
  13. Boruc was poor against Man Utd U21s, Woeful against West Ham, very average against Spurs. He has done nothing at this club so far that should entitle him to replace Gazzaniga. I may be wrong but I don't think Adkins will change this team unless he has to.
  14. Davis is nowhere near good enough. Good shotstopper except on his near post, useless at crosses, communication, distribution, line bound like a rabbit in the headlights, regularly bats the ball back out for forwards to score, makes Fonte a nervous wreck, Adkins would need sectioning if he picks him in the Premier other than if other two are injured.
  15. Looks that way to me. Lallana was much improved defensively and Puncheon did a decent double team with Clyne.
  16. A lot more assured than against Spurs and West Ham. The unfortunate clearance last week and several times he came today, wrongly in my opinion, however the defence was much better than with Boruc who looked ponderous.
  17. Davis 14 goals 4 games no points. Boruc 6 goals 2 games no points. Gazzaniga 10 goals 6 games 8 points. IMO the defence is better with Gazzaniga.
  18. It's all very well changing the goalkeeper but the two centre backs look much more comfortable in front of Gazzaniga. We haven't picked up a point when Davis and Boruc have played. Fonte looks nervous playing with Davis and not a lot better in front of Boruc but our best centre back in front of Gazzaniga. Gazzaniga didn't come off the line v Spurs but several times today he was caught out. Gazzaniga hasn't been beaten at his near post and at least three of the goals were deflected. Boruc was poor v WHU not particularly good v Spurs, Whilst Davis was awful.
  19. He's let in 10 in 6, Davis 14 in 4, Boruc 6 in 2. I know who I prefer. The back four looked solid as did Cork and Schneiderlin with the other four playing well. This might be the best team whilst the substitutions fitted in.
  20. He's done well. Our best results have come with 441/1. As a matter of interest Gazzaniga has been in goal in all the games we have picked up points.
  21. Very good team performance.
  22. As a layman, I would have thought that submarines are basically designed to carry out specific operations and be as undetectable as possible during them, I'm assuming they would have an optimum silent speed. I also assume that if they were escorting surface ships they would want to stay undetected.
  23. I think you may be doing him a disservice Frank. For some time before Pinnacle dropped out he was saying there was a 'blue chip' Swiss bidder who did have the money although he either didn't know who it was or he wasn't going to break a confidence. He felt then the wrong bidder was being given preference. He gives an enormous amount of his time to helping fund raising events and is terrific entertainment especially with draws, auctions etc.
  24. I see you've added a bit.
