  1. Watford looked decent this morning under Silva. Richarlison and Kiko Femenia give them plenty of pace down the flanks and get forward a lot, and never afraid to take their man on. They also have Will Hughes in midfield who is an excellnet progressive player. I am pretty sure it's the way Pellegrino wants us to play, but unfortunately instead of Richarlison and Kiko Femenia we have Tadic and Redmond. So the tactical approach doesn't work for us as they are lightweight ball recyclers with no pace. So the tactics need to be different - but they never are - so Pellegrino has to go.
  2. The Tadic and Redmond and One Up Front Show. AGAIN. IT AIN'T WORKING YOU IMBECILE!
  3. Maybe they'll roll Jason Euell out of the cupboard again.
  4. Out. Black and Watson out too - just to be on the safe side. Let Adkins bring his own people in.
  5. Now entering a period where we will do very well but be unlucky to lose every game against the bigger clubs. Which will be enough for him to get the benefit of the doubt with the Board. Going to be a relegation dogfight in 2018, and I think I can see where that will end with this stubborn Gimp.
  6. He went all defensive trying to keep Norwich in the Premier League before getting fired just before they went down in 2013-14. So he has had a chance in the Premier League, and blew it by being too defensive. If we fire Pellegrino I wouldn't want him anywhere near the shortlist.
  7. Palace, West Ham, Brighton Roy will see Palace down, dead cat bounce last couple of games. West Ham won't get enough points at the Olympic Stadium. Brighton - did anyone else see the end of last season? They fell apart totally, and I expect them to do it again. As it starts occurring Hughton will go all 'Puel/Pellegrino' and it will just get worse and worse. 18th.
  8. Play him up front with Austin. All the mobility of a front 2 at table football. Mind you - I think it's time we gave Austin a run in the side up with Gabbi.
  9. This is what happens when you take the shackles off and let the team play. Pellegrino and his terror of the counter attack is a big fat handbrake on Saints. He needs to change, or clear off.
  10. Pellegrino's pathological terror of the counter attack and his knowledge of Mane and Salah means we will barely be crossing the halfway line, let alone creating a chance or god forbid, scoring a goal. One up in the box if we do manage to win a corner, with everyone else marking one of their players or back near the halfway line. Its going to be grim. It's going to make Mourinho look like Keegan. And it won't work. It hardly ever does.
  11. No way are we scoring a goal anytime soon. We might score at Bournemouth in December. Other than that its hard to see where a goal is coming from until January when we go to Watford. So Liverpool 1+ v Southampton 0.
  12. In the light of his recent quote about watching the opposition all the time when linked with the Scotland job - I strongly suspect he is the root cause of the defensive anti-football we have dished up under Puel and Pellegrino. It's been like sitting on a lead at 0-0 for nearly every home game for about 2 years. That strategy fails regularly. Like Black.
  13. That is such a damning quote in the light of Romeu's comment about the players have to be wary of where the opposition are WHEN WE ARE ATTACKING. Maybe the terror of the counter attack that has permeated and soured both the Puel and Pellegrino teams does come directly from Eric Black?
  14. If Pellegrino doesn't change the way we play - he is apparently telling our attacking players to stay close to their markers WHEN WE HAVE THE BALL to limit the danger of counter attacks - he has to go. Then we can see if our players really are ineffective in the final third. I think Gabbiadini would get 20+ goals in a different side. Change the style and take some risks, or change the manager. It's the most cost effective solution.
  15. Great post - but the man to step forward should be Krueger
  16. Maybe. Would need to be a sensational PR effort first.
  17. It was going pretty good until Koeman left. You could make a case that we could have moved forward with Puel, but he was rightly sacked. If he had got us into the Europa knockout stages I reckon the clamour for him to go wouldn't have been half as bad so I am going to say it started going wrong when Hapoel scored and blew his 0-0 strategy out of the water.
  18. Adkins, Adkins, and Adkins again. A proven motivator, and would get us playing progressive football, and as a team. I have seen no evidence he would be out of his depth in any way in the Premier League. He didn't get a fair shake of the sauce bottle last time.
  19. Romeu reported as saying Pellegrino has told the team to mark the opposition midfield when we have the ball to limit the effectiveness of counter attacks. Puel mark 2. Who recruited this idiot? Someone has to be accountable.
  20. Whilst Pellegrino continues to change nothing tactically the finger is pointed at him. These players have all looked far better under other managers in different systems. Puel and Pellegrino have destroyed them.
  21. Adkins for me. Knowing Reed he will probably give Eric Black a go.
  22. I'd go for Adkins. He understands how to build team spirit, will play a more progressive style and won't take us down.
  23. Same every week, no signs of learning or changing. We have just replaced Puel with Puel mark two. Krueger needs to act and remove Pellegrino, Black, Watson and possibly also Reed. Bring a new guy in over the International break that can assess who is up for it and who isn't before the January window, then act in January. Otherwise we have a relegation battle on our hands - with turgid football and dwindling crowds and revenue as well.
  24. Tadic and Redmond and the One Up Front show. Again. And the post match 'controlling the game' comment. Again. Pellegrino Out, and out now!!!
  25. This 100%. Gabbiadini is a great player, natural goalscorer. Totally wasted by our tactics week in week out. Its scandalous.
