  1. Slovenia only need to draw, we need to win, so we already know how they are going to set their stall out. So..... James Johnson, Terry, Dawson, Cashley, Lennon, Barry, Gerrard, Joe Cole, Rooney, Defoe = Pace, Firepower & Creativity. No Heskey & Lampard, Barry and Rooney forgiven one really poor England performance. Club link ups between Cashley & Joe Cole up the left, Lennon and Defoe up the right. Barry is Gerrards anchor for Gerrard to attack. Dawson and Defoe score goals. Capello move over, where's my 6 Million?
  2. Is Rooney growing a beard?
  3. Went to talk to some leading insolvency experts in Australia (where I live) about a job - and they referred to the profession as having some unscrupulous characters working in it. They mentioned the current administrator of Portsmouth as an example. I wonder if those voting returns from the creditors were subject to independent verification or whether it was just left to AA and his cronies stood by the fax machine with a bottle of tippex. Cheating bastards. HMRC will get them yet, I am pretty sure.
  4. Wtf with all the running around by the Chileans? Didn't anyone tell them it was walking pace only until the later stages?
  5. Re Brazils first goal - lamp the jubulani like that and it could go anywhere. Could as easily have finished in row Z, gone out near the corner flag, or gone in. Totally random, like a plastic ball on the beach in the wind.
  6. Why a new ball every World Cup. It's bloody ridiculous. Why not experiment by having players wear football boots made out of blancmange and have rubber goalposts as well? You can shove the 2010 World Cup up your arse FIFA, the football is defensive and crap, the players are neing made to look like pub footballers and the imbeciles with the horns make for a total farce.
  7. The ball is making the players look like pub footballers. Nice one FIFA you F*ckwits.
  8. Best game of the tournament so far. At least the Aussies had a go and didn't try to stroll through the game retaining possession for its own sake, like a lot of sides so far. As for Germany - I would rather have a tenner on them at 16/1 than England at 6/1. Of course, it helps they've been playing with the Jubalani in the Bundesliga since December...
  9. I think smoke alarms are louder - you know, the ones that go off when you try to make a piece of toast. So if everyone took along a smoke alarm, it should be possible to drown out the vuvuzelas. Ban the f@cking things NOW!!
  10. Tiberius Bevois Vallay, happy days indeed. Downstairs for Mah Jong, entrance level for roulette and upstairs for telly and shady goings on. Then down the Manzil for a curry at 3am. All that and living in Cranbury Avenue too - great days.
  11. Another turgid crock of sh1te in the south african bee hive. This has to be the worst World Cup ever, so far.
  12. What a load of turd. Sunday football. If England don't get 7 points in this group they want their @rses kicking. I reckon most League 2 sides would take both these sides to the cleaners.
  13. Although a club can technically stay in administration all season, AA's statement seems to imply that it would not be commercially feasible and that he would have to liquidate. That is either a bluff, or an admission that they are STILL living beyond their means and continue to be CHEATING BASTARDS.
  14. There is no point keeping him in South Africa. I would arrange some sort of 'training incident', and seek to have him flown home and replaced.
  15. First time I've seen England under Capello - and very pedestrian they were. Problems everywhere: Green - Should never wear the three lions again. King - Injured AGAIN. Carragher - If they used the super slo mo on him would he actually move at all? Lampard - Can we have Chelsea's Frank please instead of his idiot twin brother? SWP - Touch of a camel and couldn't beat an egg. Heskey - Assists alone do not justify a starting position as ENGLAND STRIKER. Enough there to give Capello a few sleepless nights. Anyway, if you thought England were bad - here come Australia........
  16. There was a Korean band? All I could hear was the f@cking vuvuzelas ALL GAME. The sound never changes even if there's a goal. It is ruining the World Cup. As for South African football culture they can shove it up their @rses. This is a global event and they have no right to ruin in just to make a few bucks from selling the bloody things. Third world countries. Tch.
  17. Ghana might be value today against Serbia if they hit their straps. They aren't the favourites but have a lot of potential that will come out at some point.....
  18. As someone said on another thread - it was like two tramps fighting over a sock. Two shockingly bad sides. Mexico and South Africa will walk this group.
  19. That would be the ridiculous proposal that pays the creditors nearly three times as much, at least, but also means they can't spunk the money away on Marlon Harewoods wages. Yeah, ridiculous.
  20. It's 9/2 with Paddy Power
  21. We will almost certainly go out on penalties. The knockout stages will be as tight as gnats chuff and penalties are nailed on for England. Lampard is starting to choke from 12 yards, and we know one of Capello's interview answers was 'there is no point in practising penalties'........
  22. Question for the creditors next week is simple. Do I want to forgo up to 74% of the money Pompey owe me so they can spend it on Marlon Harewoods wages or do I want to feed my kids.........
  23. This is how I see it - and is the reason for the difference between AA's figures and those of Griffin for the unsecured creditors. Basically AA is looking for approval for a CVA that will shaft the unsecured creditors all over again by giving them a pittance so Pompey can spend the money bankrolling the most expensive playing squad in the Championship. You're having a laff mush, as someone once said.
  24. The crux of AA's administration seems to be that having a competitve club will generate the best return for the creditors over the 5 years by securing a return to the Premier League. However, his proposed CVA (with the proposed salary budget) only offers 25p in the event that promotion is secured, whereas the Griffin plan (budgeting for a Championship side)potentially offers 65p. This proves that AA's administration has not been conducted in the best interests of the creditors and is a sham. I would not be surprised if he ends up with another professional misconduct investigation off the back of this. No way is the CVA going to be approved, not a chance now. So unless a deal is struck to exit administration before the start of the season they will be staring at a points deduction. And they will still be potless.
  25. A bit early to raise this as a concern. I don't see gelling as an issue this season because a high proportion of our squad is already in place and ready to roll. Pardew knows what he is doing, and I'm sure he is well aware of the consequences of screwing it up. He will make the signings he needs, when he needs to make them.
