  1. Have to say first half of the season we were all raving about Tadic and he had something like the most assists in the league if I recall correctly? Don't what happened with him second half of the season, maybe he didn't have the fitness, or was carrying an injury, didn't Koeman not play him towards the end due to an ongoing injury problem? Anyway I reckon he may well show that early season form again next season after a full pre season with us
  2. Oh come on as much as I hate them, they are a prestigious club, the media love in for starters, will ensure he'll become more of a household name, he'll most likely be a shoe in for England now he plays for them, all this will bring in more money through sponsorships etc, which I'm sure is all he really cares about and who can blame him that's why I go to work. If he was really interested in playing in champions league he'd probably hold out for a better club but it only takes one bad turn and he's out for a year so got to take it whilst he can.
  3. We should now offer him to United for £10m
  4. [VINE][/VINE] Not forgetting that as well as being a top defensive midfielder, he counts as one of the home grown players as well (i think)
  5. Maybe they're one of the select teams The trouble is what other conclusion can you draw from what he's done. I guarantee as soon as he signs for the scousers or whoever he'll be playing everytime.
  6. No chance of that hogdson has made it quite clear to Clyne and any other aspiring England players you only get a run in the team if you play for a few select clubs
  7. Maybe instead the poll should read Who should be England's right back 1. Any English Liverpool player 2. Any English Man Utd player 3. Any English City player 4. Any English Arsenal player. That way any player wishing to play there knows what he has to do to get into the team
  8. Yep imagine it, but then as football fans we're all hypocritical so who cares, when we do it, fair play, if anyone does it to us then they're bastards and if it's anyone to do with spurs or liverpool then they need ****ing shooting lol
  9. We may want Austin and I would love him here, the problem I think is the perceived size of the club, he may well have come down here and had a look around, but compared to St. James Park we would look no bigger than Hull or Palace. We may be doing well at the moment but the media, pundits and players probably still see us as a lower prem team having a couple of good seasons, rather than a club like Everton or Newcastle etc. We may see ourselves on their level but the important thing is other people probably don't, this is what we have to change before players like Austin will choose us over them. Saying that, he may end up choosing us in the end anyway so what do I know.
  10. I can only imagine he's grown up in an era where he's been indoctrinated by Sky and the press into believing that the top 4 have a god given right to be at the top and that all players in other teams are there just to audition for one of these big clubs.
  11. Don't think he's oblivious, he knows exactly what he's doing, read the book how they stole the game, that opened my eyes
  12. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/sport/sepp-blatter-threatens-to-take-world-cup-place-away-from-uefa-teams/ar-BBkpg8C Here we go the corruption continues, taking away votes and tournament places from people who voted against him, giving them to people who voted for him

    Mane

Is it possible that he's heard of a foreign team that may be coming in for him?
  14. Millbrook Saint

    Mane

that's because it wasn't one of the sky 'sponsored' teams, but don't worry I'm sure that it won't take long until they start talk of him leaving, then when he does they'll be mentioning how man utd's (or whoever's) Sadio Mane scored the fastest ever hatrick, the playing for Southampton at the time will either be a little foot note, or be wiped from history
  15. If by New Forest Derby, you mean Bournemout, then I agree, it seems exactly like that and whilst I'd prefer not to have to squabble about those things I'm sure we'd sort it out and English jobs will most likely be part of that win win. Exactly this, they get a far better deal per person than us and still we hear them whinging about their lot, if they had a vote tomorrow about English independence from Scotland, I'd vote yes
  16. No scotland will lose, their worst case scenario would be to cut ties with the rest of the UK and they know it, salmond and sturgeon are just blowing hot air, I say if they keep it up just get rid of them, our country has its own problems to deal with, without having to deall with this lot. You know what, I'm fed up with it to be honest, the way they abuse the English, the massive chips they all seem to have on their shoulders, the way they come out in support whoever we're against, the way they didn;t want to allow their players to join a British team for the olympics. I've always wanted scotland to do well in football tournaments or anything else for that matter and what do we get in return, bitterness and vitriole. Next they'll be asking for Celtic and Rangers to come join the English premier league again. It's not about fighting their xenophobia with our own, we should give to them as good as we get from them, they seem to act like the bitter less successful brother always wishing us ill.
  17. Excellent, I say let them go, in fact can we declare independence from them and their skirt wearing whiney ways. In fact how many jobs could be created down here rebuilding Hadrians Wall, then we can have border patrols to make sure they don't try and scale the wall to get here when they realise that salmon and sturgeon haven't a clue what they're doing and have left them all skint.
  18. so because some posh people hundreds of years ago were out of order, David Cameron is going to shut the NHS, I suppose I should apolgies for their behaviour back then as well what with being English and all. The NHS isn't going to be got rid of, there will be instances of people not receiving the treatment they should but a massive system like the NHS is always going to be like that no matter who runs it. Problem is I can guarantee everytime something happens labour will blame it on the tories and their 'decimation' of the NHS Wasn't meaning to come across as self righteous, it just ****es me off hearing labour supporters harping on about the nasty tories all the time, giving the impression that if you support the tories you can't be a caring or compassionate person Anyway that's my 3 gone night all
  19. What is the matter with you, did a rich boy steal your action man when you were younger?
  20. yep the nhs is going to disappear, they're all plotting it now, sat down laughing in No 10 like a Bond villain. Those nasty tories are going to close all the hospitals, followed by all the schools and sell the land to their friends. you know what if you're fed the same line for years that the tories are evil baby snatchers then you'll probably believe it, fortunately it would seem that most of Britain has got a brain and haven't been brain washed into thinking, they're posh they must be an ass hole. I'm very disappointed that labours biggest argument is 'they're all posh', you know what I'm sure just because they're rich and posh doesn't mean they don't care about people, the biggest problem is that labour supporters all seem to have some sort of chip on their shoulder that rich people are evil They have their own ideas of how to run the country and it is different than labours, your opinion is that they're wrong, well I'm afraid most of the country disagrees with you, I guess we'll find out in 5 years, trouble is people like you will always be looking for an instance of where someone has suffered and point at this yelling 'those nasty tories, this would never happen under labour' well you know what, in a country of 65 odd million people, some things won't work quite as well and some people will get the rough end of the stick, but don't tell me it wouldn't be the same under labour. What I hate about labour supporters is their self righteousness, acting like they're so enlightened and anyone who dares not agree with them is in some way an inferior person with no moral compass or any compassion
  21. I agree in a perfect world no one would make money from sick people, unfortunately where there's a service to be given there's money to be made, if people making money off the back of sick people improves their care and doesn't cost more, then surely that's a good thing? It all comes down to legislation and oversight, the bad thing about privatisation isn't the actual privatisation itself, it's how it's handled, companies would try and find loopholes to do things but the government would need to put things in place that would remove the contracts if they were trying 'to beat the system' The privatisation of the rail system is a case in point, if it was handled better it would have been ok, if the government could look at the rail companies taking the **** with prices, or lateness etc they should have the power to remove the contract from them and take it back in house until a suitable alternative was found. You can always say 'what happens when....' the trouble is if we did that then nothing would happen, what if when benefits were started someone popped up saying 'what happens when people have more kids to get more money' 'what happens when people pretend they're too ill to work' Fact of the matter is, things will always be open to abuse but the job of the government is to stamp down on this as soon as they have an indicator that this could be happening.
  22. I thought the point of selling parts of the NHS was to get value for money, for instance if aids care got sold off to a company, it would only do so if selling it to the company was better value than doing it themselves, ie outsourcing it. The NHS would still pay the bill, but instead of paying £25 to keep it in house, they now only pay £20 to outsource it. Is this the case? If it is I don't see what the problem is, in this scenario the thing that needs to be watched is that the companies are behaving and we are getting value for money. As long as there's stringent controls, with care and costs being monitored, with the companies having to justify their prices knowing that they can lose the contract at any time should they start taking the ****. Surely this is a far more efficient thing to do than to have one huge system where no one has to justify themselves and money gets wasted as there's no shareholders to answer to. I know that in an ideal world there would be no profit to be made from the NHS but surely if it's more efficient to let a company make money from doing it and as long as care isn't compromised and it's cost effective then there is no problem. I know people will say that in the end profit will come before care but that would be down to the controls being put in place being sufficient????
  23. The problem is a lot of the decisions are down to opinions, they are rarely black and white, even the offside rule which was once black or white, anyone offside then it's offside, now it's up to the ref to decide whether a player is interfering in play, one person might say no and another will say yes. Then you have the ridiculous situation where pundits are saying that a player has the right to go down if he's touched in the box, again you'd end up with one opinion saying no pen look how easily he went down and another saying he got touched so it's a pen. Even handballs in the box, you have pundits saying definitely a penalty and another saying ball to hand, again a personal opinion to be made. Some situations it would help when it is a black and white decision, trouble is the fa have made a rod for their back by introducing 'refs opinion'
  24. I would imagine spurs will come in with their normal derisory offer of about £10mil and Morgan would throw his toys out if we didn't let him go
