  1. The problem with the liberal elite is that everything is black and white, mainly if you don't agree with me you must be (insert ism here). It's about time this BLM lot did one and let the rest of us get on with getting on, instead of having those halfwits push their divisive agenda, egged on by the equally stupid, if not worse liberal elite
  2. you don't think tottenham have already had a word with him then, which is why his performances have gone downhill
  3. So Ings then, would you bin him off for the semi, and then final if we get there, he's clearly shown where his loyalty is and his loss of form could easily be attributed to a lack of interest/keeping himself fit for his move.
  4. Ings ain't injured, his agent has got in his ear and told him not to risk himself, doubt we'll see him in a saints shirt again
  5. You know what, if he went to City I'd begrudgingly accept it and I suspect they'd be more willing to pay a decent price. Spurs on the other hand will haggle, get in his ear and do whatever they can to get him on the cheap from us, I would tell him straight, he either signs the contract, sees out his current one, but we will not be selling to that scummy club
  6. So when spurs come in with a miserly offer of £20m who we going to buy for that who's guaranteed to score in the premier league? Nope keeping Danny for another 18 months makes perfect sense, he hasn't signed a new contract, no pay rise, money saved, he hasn't signed a contract, no paying him for 4 -5 years only to be injured once his knees start to go as he gets older and he plays less, money saved.
  7. I still reckon we should say ok, you won't sign your contract, see out this one and you can leave on a free. His knee won't last much past 30
  8. Surely any behaviour like that can be traced, I don't use twitter so wouldn't know, but don't you need a genuine email address to join up? Now putting my tin foil hat on, could it be possible a lot of these racist posts and tweets players from different clubs are getting originate from the so called russian troll factories, the whole purpose of them is to stir up tensions in different countries, no better way than a few racist tweets and posts after a high profile football game in the current climate. I hope it's this anyway, hate the thought of saints fans acting like this
  9. Ridiculous to want Ralph gone, if anything we should be praying he wants to stay, even the board aren't at fault for this, I'm pretty sure if the owner gave them cart blanche they'd get all the players Ralph wants and needs. No, the fault lies squarely at Gao's feet, he is the one who thinks that you can run a premier league football club with zero investment
  10. No, owners shouldn't just suck it up, but to buy a premier league club and not expect to spend any money is a tad stupid, it won't be long before your premier league club is championship club. Whether we like it or not, money needs to be spent in this league just to stand still, an owner thinking he doesn't need to spend is an idiot. If you don't want to spend money, then don't buy a fucking football club. I don't mind bringing kids through, selling the odd player here and there, but it would be nice for once to be able to buy a player without having to worry about balancing the books, how many other clubs in the premier league have to do this? The manager might be getting us through at the moment, but how long will it be before he starts thinking we're holding him back and he buggers off to a club who may offer even modest investment. Then we'll be back to square one again, look how long it took us to get over losing Koeman.
  11. So what, you don't buy a Ferrari if you can't afford to run it. (waits for jokes about saints being more Ford Escort) Saints fans are pretty level headed and don't expect money spent ala Man City, but at the same time football clubs are money pits and anyone buying a club should know this and if they're not willing to spend money they shouldn't be buying clubs.
  12. You know what, maybe we should just let him run down his contract, he's got 18 months left which would make him 30, how many more years past 30 do people think he'll really go. If he signs a new 4/5 year contract from now we'd still have 2 -3 years to pay as our top earner when he's 30, with him potentially spending more and more time in the injury room with no sell on value, would much rather have him for 18 months, get his best years out of him, then someone else can take him on, better that than a have him sign a contract with a low get out clause where we end up having to replace him this summer anyway. Call his bluff, let him run down his contract, he hasn't got as many years in front of him as he might think.
  13. Just so you all know I've never been a Trump supporter, not that I really feel the need to justify myself, I liked some of the stuff he did, a lot was nonsense and some of it absolute garbage, he should definitely disappear from twitter, I do however support his democratic right to lead his country when voted in. I can't be arsed to sift through the nonsense most of you have replied with and answer, so lets just say you're all correct and abusing, ridiculing his voter base and anyone on the right is absolutely fine and won't cause any division or resentment whatsoever. I will answer this though, the number of votes was irrelevant, they all knew how it worked over there before they started, whether it should work that way or not is another discussion completely and I do sympathise with having more votes and still not getting in, but those were the rules. So yes, he was democratically elected and yes most on the left couldn't bring themselves to accept it.
  14. well done you, if you don't think rubbishing people, looking down on them, abusing them, cancelling them, just for who they support in an election isn't storing up trouble for later, then crack on. If these people hadn't have felt aggrieved in the first place, then Trump would never have been able to use the narrative that everyone is against him and his supporters. Me personally, I'd rather have engaged with them, find out why they voted Trump, then do something to make my party attractive to them for the next vote. Taking that ridiculous narrative away from Trump, but each to their own I guess.
  15. This is all the fault of the so called liberal left and luvvies, they never accepted the democratic vote of 2016. Instead there has been a continuous pile on to any of his supporters/voters trying to shame them for their vote. Continuous abuse of the president by these same people, probably more than any other president in history. They should have accepted the vote, voiced their disapproval once, then let him get on with what he was voted in for, he could then have been judged 4 years later by his successes and failures. It's the job of the opposition to expose him for his policies. But no, they couldn't keep their big gobs shut, taking every opportunity to abuse his support base, throwing more and more fuel on the fire, giving Trump the ammo he needs to rile up certain elements of his support. Now you have a whole support base who feel aggrieved, rightly or wrongly is irrelevant, this is how they've been made to feel by the left for supporting Trump, it's a complete mess and won't be solved by impeaching him.
  16. And this is the problem with allowing these sort of things on a social network platform, I remember a conversation with someone on facebook who was liking posts about how evil the British government was for allowing refugees to cross the channel in dinghies, I tried to point out that surely it's the french government who should be held accountable for turning a blind eye, I got massacred and promptly removed myself from any further comments. Another conversation I had in a group I belonged to about about racism, I tried to point out that I didn't think the pulling over of black people in London was all down to racism, explaining how, when I was in my 20's I was pulled over regularly due to my age and that surely where the local population is mostly black, then it stands to reason that it would be mostly black people being pulled over. I was, once again screamed at, was piled on by multiple people accusing me of being racist, I tried to defend myself and got responses how they no longer feel the group was a safe place for them and they didn't feel safe. I promptly left the group, fearing I'd end up losing my job, the bullies had won. This to me highlights the danger of social media, how many other voices aren't heard because their opinions don't comply with what certain people say you should think, silencing people never works, it doesn't change their opinion, all it does is build resentment
  17. The whole reason Parler was setup was because of Facebooks' and Twitters' policy of censorship. Their reasoning being that everyone has the right to free speech, the trouble with that policy is that you can get some people saying some pretty abhorrent stuff. Parler isn't social media for the far-right, it's social media for people who want to be able to say what they want, left or right. Politics or not. It's an apolitical platform. Saying it's a far right platform is like saying Facebook and Twitter are far left platforms. When Facebook and Twitter started, their whole thing was for people to talk to each other without fear of censorship. Parler did this too and they are now finding out what happens if they do, just like the other 2 companies did. It's a grand thought to allow open and free speech but it can be troublesome. Whereas Facebook and Twitter are now in a loop they can't escape from, they claim they give people free speech, then block peoples accounts, and understandably so in some cases, these same people then claim they don't have free speech as they're having their opinions shutdown by a faceless corporation so they gravitate to a place they can speak freely, unfortunately the nutjobs are also there. Blocking these accounts just feeds the narrative they're pushing that the left are trying to censor their opinions. Saying that, I have no idea what should happen when you have a loon as president posting the crap he does post. Look at before the election how social media worked to keep the stuff about Biden's son off the platforms, even though respected newspapers had evidence, I'm sure they wouldn't have clamped down so hard if it was Trump's son. The problem Facebook and Twitter have is the staff are made up of mostly woke individuals with an inbuilt feeling of self righteousness about what should and shouldn't be published on the platform, when these same staff are responsible for censoring and removing certain posts you end up in a tricky situation. They seem to feel it's their job to decide what the public is allowed to read and write on the platform. The best thing that can happen to any of these platforms is to keep it totally non political, anything with a political tone to it should be removed, it should be purely used as a social platform, no blm posts, no maga posts, no Trump posts, no Biden posts. No right versus left posts. No look at Boris what a coont he is. No look at Starmer the useless imbecile. It should just be kept to normal socialising. Everyone knows that one way to start an argument at a dinner party is to start talking politics, social media needs to be seen as one massive dinner party where no one talks politics and maybe throw religion into that too.
  18. He's clearly implying that every Trump supporter and even Trump himself is like that, just look at the way he's added to Trump's comment by adding his own little bit at the end and surrounding the whole thing with quotes to make it look like a direct quote. He may well have called out Corbyn, I bet he didn't adjust any of Corbyn's quotes to make it look like he supports the holocaust, or implied that every Corbyn supporter was the same
  19. Oh come on, you just got to look back to Corbyn and some of the questionable people who supported him, holocaust deniers, anti semites, the difference being this bloke is trying to tarnish all Trump supporters as being like these characters and even Trump with supporting them. Whereas people weren't trying to tarnish all Corbyn supporters as being holocaust deniers or anti semites, this again is another instance of the left trying to paint anyone on the right, or anyone they disagree with as a loon, whereas they're all luvvy duvvy righteous people.
  20. Whilst we can all see what a knob Trump is, imagine that we find out some time in the future that he was right all along and all though the democrats weren't involved, some people somewhere with the ability to do it, did fix the election, would people then see him as a hero for democracy? The other thing, why was the taking over of a number of blocks in Seattle seen as a power to the people type thing, just read this https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/11/chaz-seattle-autonomous-zone-police-protest the violence which made the police retreat from the city is hardly a footnote to the new utopia of getting rid of the police with plenty of airtime given to the people who did this. No pictures of the violence which caused this, or the way the city was stormed to force the police to evacuate, imagine if the police had shot people to stop the incursion, they would have been absolutely vilified. Yet Trump supporters do a similar thing and they're all portrayed as scumbags, a threat to democracy, they get shot, after all the people being shot are just white, right wingers so deserve it eh. My opinion is the people who stormed the capitol building got and will get what they deserve. But in the same way the people who stormed Seattle have completely got away with it, the police should have stood up top them with the same deadly force they employed yesterday, their pictures flashed across the world showing everyone what scum they are. Seems to me the left seem to think they have a righteous cause to do as they please, after all if you don't agree with them, you're just a right wing, racist nazi. How can that rag above be taken seriously with that almost triumphant article. I bet if you looked at Fox news, the Daily Mail or any other right wing publication, the people yesterday will be slated for the scum they are, yet the left wing publications can't seem to bring themselves to slate anyone on the left no matter what they do.
  21. Ok, not a born scouser but he played for them, where's the pundit who has a connection with us
  22. So have sky given up any pretence of impartiality now then, both pundits scouse, victim coonts, a nice wankathon over thiago
  23. And that is the trouble the government has, I don't care which colour you are the same problems would still arise, the government are in a no win situation and to be honest people like Starmer are not helping the situation, it's easy for him to sit back throwing round demands, nothing he says has any consequence, so of course he can pass himself off as the reasonable person full of ideas, it's easy when your suggestions don't impact peoples lives. government says close schools, you get parents complaining, you get the justifiable worries over childrens futures from Ofsted. government says keep schools open, you get unions kicking off, you get teachers kicking off, again their worries are justified, my wife works in a school and I'm worried about her returning tomorrow. Whatever the government says someone will say they're wrong. Now Starmer is saying need a complete lockdown government agrees, locks whole country down, people complain in some areas saying they have hardly any infections why should they be shutdown, hence the tiers. Businesses complain about going bust, people complain about wanting to on holiday. government refuses to lockdown, Starmer screams saying how Boris is killing people, unions kick off saying workers aren't safe. It's hard enough for the government, no matter of which persuasion to deal with all this, and yes you do have some twats trying to score political points
  24. Children seem to be more affected by the latest strain, if children are spreading it, we need to protect them, the staff and the staffs families, just until the vaccinations can be rolled out, maybe include teaching staff as well as a priority group. There will still be breaks in the summer, they will just be shorter as the easter and half term breaks get shunted along.
  25. Why don't they adjust the school holidays this year, bring forward the 6 week break in the summer to now, then adjust the other holidays to suit, that way the schools can stay closed for a few more weeks, which may just give us enough time to get more people vaccinated and hopefully not too much schooling will be missed
