The most ridiculous part of this story is that what he says almost certainly never happened. Nobody knows who he is talking about and the rape victim is now conviniently dead. The way he says in the interview "I've never told this to anyone before and can't believe I'm telling a journalist of all people!" makes it, to me, very transparent that it is all just one big publicity stunt that has spectacularly backfired for him.

I presume it was tongue in cheek. And pretty much every club now sings a version of it. It doesn't really matter. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence realises that the original song mentions Saints. Not Spurs/reds/blues etc. Wembley is always a dire atmosgere, especially when Spurs are playing.
