How times change. Where will we be in 6 years time from now? I think we will have a pretty good idea as to the answer to that question in the next 7 days...

As far as I see it, if: - FA Cup semi-finals are never played there again, and; - England internationals tour the country again. It can only be a good thing. Having said that I'm sure I have heard before that the debt will have been paid off in the next few yeara by which point the FA will be making a fairly healthy annual profit on the stadium, so don't see why they need to or would want to sell it.

Just given this a go. Assuming a 4-4-2 formation in the order they came out of the hat: Romeu Hoedt-Stephens-Long-Forster Pied - Taylor - Gardos - Hesketh Sims - Yoshida Good balance to that side IMO.

TCWTB?

Love the guy, as does every other Saints fan. Such a shame he was used as a pawn which contributed to the exodus of players and subsequent downfall. I can't help but feel Liverpool never really wanted him but knew a) it'd make them look good by giving him a chance at his boyhood club, and b) him being there would make it easier to convince Lallana to sign.

Isn't he the guy that always boasts about being a proud Bristolian? And he supports Liverpool? Ok...

Have you considered applying for Bake Off?

Our best 3 signings since returning to the premier league

Don't be such a fool. He was a considerable improvement on Davis and Gazza, our only other two options at the time, and was pretty solid for us when we needed it most. -

Got to admit, I wouldn't have thought of him, but he's right. Without the signing of Boruc we almost certainly would have been relegated in our first season back. -
Explains why there looked like a fair few tickets left on Sunday evening when I looked but it was then sold out at about 9:05 yesterday morning when I went to buy them. Very frustrating. I don't buy the whole "its to stop people buying for the sake of it for Wembley" as that doesn't really make any sense.

Hopefully the wind will be in our favour 2nd half.

This is painful to watch so far.

Wigan marathon postponed apparently. Pitch inspection at about 10:30 but doubt that'll be a problem from what I've heard. Good luck to everyone on the roads. Hopefully they can at least push KO an hour or two back to give everyone more time to arrive but no doubt they can't due to TV and people complaining about missing trains home. I suspect we may be missing a quite a few of the 4000 with tickets.

What "first Saints manager to..." does Hughes have?
jawillwill replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
First Saints manager called Mark Hughes to be appointed on the 14th March 2018. -
Good thread. If he had a record like that in La Liga with teams like Osasuna, Granada, Celta Vigo, Espanyol and Real Sociadad people would be creaming themselves (or at least wouldn't be so disappointed). For some reason, some on here see extensive Premier League experience, albeit with "un-fashionable clubs" as being a negative. I am by no means saying he is the best mamager around, but he is a solid choice for our level and has my complete backing for this season, and beyond if successful.

Super thread.

Didn't Adkins?

I, and I assume most others on here, couldn't care less I'm afraid.

Would you want Redknapp come in for the final few games. He'd be keen to get the Saints blemish off his CV. Ha. No. Me neither. He's a ****.
-
Pelligrino Out I'm afraid. Seems like a decent bloke. Doesn't seem like a decent manager.
-
Did I? I thought we became pals that day

Have I missed the ticket details or not released yet? Given its on TV on monday night, what are the odds if getting to general sale?

Top five negatives about saints at the moment.

Players, formation, tactics, staff, food, fans, stadium, transfer policy. -
I saw Hugo after the Palace (away) match earlier this season. He was outside the stadium, near Sainsbury's, talking to someone about the team bus. I said "Hi Hugo". He looked at me, confused, but politely replied "Hi".
