Reading ticket desperation
jawillwill replied to forever a red and white's topic in Saints Away Supporters
I find that sometimes reading it fo-net-I-cally helps if you're desperate. -
To be fair that list has Old Trafford - well known to be the least atmospheric ground in the country 99% of the time - as the 5th most atmospheric ground in the world.

Is that the Crystal Palace chairman?

Well if nothing else, the thread title is accurate.

...and a reminder of how poor some of the goalkeeping was in league 1.

....now on Saints Player! Some crackers in there.

You've been due some good news too. Really not that uncommon. Most left handers are right footed. Myself included.

Good to see. But we've (for some reason) played twice as many games as Everton in second. In fact there's only 3 teams in the league who wouldn't overtake us if they win all their games in hand.... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/fixtures-results/u18-table/

Most important player signing of past 3.5 years?
jawillwill replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Lambert signed on 10th August 2009....more than 3.5 years ago. Might need to edit the title to 3.6 years if we want to include him (or has he renewed hisncontract since?). -
As an 11 year old he went to China to watch Hull and did whatever he wanted to do? Looking at his picture, I reckon there's a good chance that he's one of the people that suddenly thinks he's well 'ard on derby days and would go around giving it large on derby days. He only has himself to blame for the restrictions. Yes, but you live i Weymouth which means you pretty much had to go through Southampton en-route anyway. How would you feel if you lived in Portsmouth (other than violently ill because of it)? FWIW, while not ideal, I think because of the way a minority of people seem to act on derby days, it is probably necessary and it has become a well oiled operation. That said, it doesn't completely eliminate the potential for trouble and does make the fans sitting ducks as you get closer to the ground. Let's be honest, it'll never affect Saints again anyway, what with Pompey being ****/as good as dead. Shame really.

Even if he becomes the gretest/richest footballer the world has ever seen (lets hope, eh?), it'd still be useful to have some of the life skills school can teach at that age. To skip 20% of your school life on the off chance (probably still less than 1% chance) that he'll become a pro footballer does seem like madness for a 12 year old.

That's differnet to the table on the BBCwebsite which says he's just 1 point out for us. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21442905

Wind Street is great for a night out. At least it was about 5 years ago - it's gone downhill since then though IMO. Hopefully the police won't be as over-zealous as our last visit there. Having been to the Liberty quite a few times in the past they can generate a really good atmosphere. Unfortunately when we last played there, you wouldn't have believed it. Probably the quietest I've ever heard Saints fans away too considering we had about 3,000 there.

The Back to the Future triolgy. It's on ITV2 about 6 days a week, but I still put it on whever I see it.

Why are the Echo claiming this is news? I mean, it is football news I suppose, but sod all (well, very very little) to do with anything in Southampton.

Genuine question, but do people really care about women's cricket (and women's rugby for that matter)? I've noticed in recent weeks both sports getting regular mentions on the sports section of BBC news? But whenever they show footage there is never anybody in the crowds? I understand they have to avoid seeming sexist, and I have no problem with popular women's sport (tennis, athlectics etc), but surely the fact that nobody is ever in the crowd is a sign that nobody really cares about women's cricket/rugby?

Well if the player who scored and all his team mates said it wasn't handball, it can't have been.
