An enigma for me this season. He's clearly got skill, ability and flair in abundance but for whatever reason it was displayed in fits and starts. Whether it's a settling-in period, the formation, desire or whatever I hope MP is able to get the best out of him next season as I'm sure we haven't seen it yet, not in a consistent manner anyway.

There's not a single trait that endears me to that man but in all fairness he did say (I think!) a couple of months or so back that 37 points would stay up and he was right.

Took him a while to settle in and indeed get a regular spot but what a player he's turning out to be. Seem to recall a few who were continually moaning about him being one for the future and not what we needed now.

Probably with a big compo pay-out. Another win-win for ol' bagpus. Good job he didn't come here as was promoted by some of the vocal brigade.

You wouldn't have thought so but there's nowt as weird as folk. I've only ever referred to him as Rich, Richard or **** all used in a polite manner. The really odd part is that he keeps posting pictures of me and making reference to me on threads where I've not even posted. I'm not sure if it's some kind of paranoia or just a lack of understanding of the term stalker. Bizarre really.

It's quite cute. Another poster brought it up on here after having some kind of ding-dong with him on 606 (or some other forum, can't remember which) and Dicky seemed to get quite irate about it, strange really. And yet again Girlish makes the initial post in a thread about his supposed stalker just like the 'pictures of posters' thread. The irony and hypocrisy is not lost on anyone. It's of no suprise though. Strange and odd. I too would be angry if my parents called me Richard.

As Guly has been conspicuous by his absence around the 75 minute mark I think we can safely assume he's no longer picking the team. Or may be he is.

I guess you can make statistics be whatever you want. Playing devils advocat, if you gave MP say 3 games to make is mark (seems reasonable) then how does his points return in the last 6 games compare with NA's last 6?

Just watched the BBC1 10pm News to hear the Sports Reporter Damian Francis(?) claim it's a tough job as Sunderland 'are bottom of the Premiership'. Good to see the Beeb on the ball.

Quite a few of our players were going A over T especially during the first half. It did seem a tad strange to have it so heavily watered but it seemed to do the trick!

I think they overdid the watering of the central area of the pitch. Seemed a bit excessive yesterday, not helped with the hailstorm but it seemed the first half where we were losing our footing the most. Maybe some of the players changed their footwear at half-time?
