Stephens was shocking, particularly when paired with Woods. AA and Fraser added nothing to the match bar one combination in the first half . BBD worked harder than last season, but still doesn't look like a threat. On a positive note, Quashie looked very solid. Edwards did ok on the ball, but is not an attacking fullback. Downs finished well, the only time someone passed to him. Wellington is better than Manning, Charles had a reasonable game, and the young frenchman looked like he knew how to play as a central midfielder, unlike Aribo and Smallbone. Right back worries me. Bree didn't look good and Sugawara can't even get on the pitch . Also, we can't start the season with Robinson as our only creative outlet.

Our team that got religated by October , minus Fernandes and Ramsdale, beat them 3 times last season when the Leeds team had Gray, Rutter and Summerville in it. That is 3 massive players that they have to replace just to stay at the level of the team we beat. I think Harrison is coming back from his loan, but the have a major overhaul required. Piroe is Adam Armstrong without the work rate.

Thanks for the response, I will probably go for an IPTV on the firestick for next season, but I do like having a streaming option on my tablet, so I can keep one eye on a game while watching something non football with my wife . I think I might have clicked on something on Windscribe to block streaming..... never click on a message without your glasses on !

I tried to watch the fifa club thing today using fawanews and other sites via windscribe and mothing is working.i I have tried different servers in different countries , a laptop and an android tablet. All no good. Is anyone else having problems ? Also, curious to know if IPTV is still working. I am used to sites disappearing, but not all at once , I realise that it is not Saints related ATM , but it will be in August .

Apples and Pears really. Yes Zubimendi is a much better player than Fernandes, although Fernandes is more attacking, which adds a premium. Zubimendi is a £59m player because that is the release clause in his contract. On an open market he would be worth much more. Zubimendi is a great player, who as gone under the radar as Rodri plays that role for Spain. I was lucky enough to see him 4 times that season, before he came on and announced himself in the Euros final. There was a simillar arguement on SaintsMarching or some similar bad website saying that Saints would get less than they wanted for Dibling because Delap only went for £30m, ignoring the fact that Delap also had a release clause. Not sure what offers Saints will get for him . I would be disappointed if they don't get him to meet with Still before they evaluate any offers. A yeat in the championship would give Saints a chance to build a team around him.

Best I have seen , not on TV but at actual games Buffon Golac Bonnuci VVD Maldini Rodri Kante Yamal Battistuta Maradona MBappe There are probably a lot more renowned right backs that I have seen than Golac, but I cant remember one that was as much fun to watch.

Interesting to see no Stehpens, and no Dibbling. I would be very pleased if most of those starting today are still with us next season. If it was up to me , I would make Fernades captain and build the team around him .

We beat Leeds 3 times last season, when they had Riimer, Somerville and Archie Gray in the team. They will have Harrison back from his loan, but I think they will need genius recruitment to have any chance

I think we scored a late winner at home to Sunderland using a Delap long throw, in a game that I missed. The closest I saw after that was the first game of the season at Villa under Sturrock . It was flicked on and Fernandes volleyed it goalbound, only for it to hit Kevin Phillips up the arse. A few minutes later, we got anothe throw in a similar postiion and ..... we took it short. From that moment on the 3 of us who went up from Salisbury knew we were relegated !

That was a definite foul on Fernandes before the penalty

I think a lot of players will be in for s shock this summer. I can see Fernadnes, Dibbling and Ramsdale having being sought after. THB has his England cap and goal for his agent to help sell him. Charles and Edwards have mpressed on loan, so there may be bids for them . Diaz might well make his move to Sheffield United permanent. Other than that , Sulemana, Onachou , Sugawara , Aribo, ABK, Wellington and possibly Bedanarek will have suitors abroad. As for the rest, nobody is going to be after Mc Carthy, Bazunu, Stephens,Fraser, Taylor, Wood, Bree, Downes ,Manning and Smallbone. There may be a bit of interest in AA and Archer, but not on this seasons stats. I think we will be left with Mc Carthy, Bazunu, Taylor, Bree, Wood, Stephens Downes ,Manning , Smallbone AA, Fraser, Larios, Stewart and Edozie. If we are lucky we might keep Wellington, Charles and Edwards. I would like Onachou to stay, but he will probably go for a piss take offer from Turkey.

Wharton and Roberts show that there is some talent in the championship if you look hard enough. I like the look of Ivanovic at Millwall, a mobile centre forward who scores goals too. Very similar to Delap but scores a few from distance too. If Plymouth go down, I would buy either of their new Centre backs. Both look to attack the ball at all times and they would add a bit of grit to our back line. They might not be good enough for the PL, but neither were Jos Hoilberg and Mike Pickering. We will probably need some new No 10 /Wide players , as we would likely have only Edozie and Fraser left. Defensive Central Midfield also needs a boost, as we currently have no back up for Downes and Charles. I would have us something like New Keeper Res McCarthy, Bazunu Sugawara Edwards Plymouth Wellington Wood, Bree, Stephens, French Lad, Manning Downes Charles New, Smallbone , WitMarsh New Robinson, new Edozie Ivanovic Archer AA,Fraser , New , Ballard I fully expect Aribo, Dibbling , Fernandes, Ramsdale , Bednarek THB and Diaz to go. Keeping Sully or Tall Paul would be a bonus. I would also like to see the youngters get more minutes than we gave Dibbling SAA and Meghoma last time.

I gave up at 3 nil when Smallbone came on. I have been watching Saints for nearly 60 years and have never felt so disconnected from the club. We barely laid a glove on Brighton. For the rest of this season, can we get the team to run out to 'No Fun' by Iggy and the Stooges. None of that uplifting oh when the Saints nonsense.

I don't mind the 3 centre backs so much. It is playing without a defensive midfield that does my head. It only works in a fantasy football team, not on actual grass. We may as well go W M formation , it is that outdated.
