Just watched the highlights on Saints Player, if only one of Lambert's 3 or 4 chances had gone in I think the flood gates would have oppened. Likewise had they actually kept 11 men on the pitch I think we'd have scored more as they played extremley open, you can see why they concede so many as every time they went forward before the sending off they had 7 or 8 men pouring forward, leaving 3 at the back and a huge space inbetween defence and midfield. The game did have a bit of a training exercise feel to it, but I felt we never really had to get out of 1st gear. Don't agree with the above post, thought it was good to see a couple of changes last night to give Harding, Richardson, Morgan...etc a chance, and we won so it went well.

Exactly why we left the Northam. Was back there for the Preston game and it reminded me why we left, Kingsland north is where its at and youu don't get half as many cocks. Really hope this "steeeve" doesn't catch on at away games, its ****ing terrible and cringeworthy.

Gotta be the same starting 11 as Saturday for me. If we play like we did on Saturday (and the entire season at home infact) then I can see us winning this at a canter.

Going up on a mini bus for this one. Another new ground to tick off.

Own Up, Who Else Was Concerned About October?
saints_is_the_south replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
At the start of the month, I think most of us agreed that October would prove whether we were the real deal or not, so to be top at the end of it gives us our answer I feel. Must try and dig out that 'October predictions thread'. -
Can't wait for Tuesday, I just love going to SMS this season! Predicting the same score as last season, 4-1 to the Saints.

Chaplow for me, as has been the last 3 or 4 games to be honest. A player bang on form, works so hard for the team and was everywhere today. As one West Ham fan put it the other week after we beat them, "That Chaplow looked 10 x the player our 50k a week captain (Nolan) did". Guly obviously gets a mention for the goals, Lambert very good again and showing he is so much more than just a goal scorer. And Jos too, after his first game against Forest never in my wildest dreams did I think he'd be this good, but he really is the real deal. So strong at the back and in the air, and very comfortable with the ball at his feet. My ratings today for the entire team would be: Davis: 7 Butterfield: 8 Jos: 7.5 Fonte: 7.5 Fox: 7.5 Chaplow: 9 Cork: 7 Hammond: 7 Lallana: 8 Lambert: 7.5 Guly: 8.5

Anybody know how many sold for this so far? Surely must be into a 2nd allocation but no mention on the OS as usual.
-
In Adkins interview on Saints Player, he seems pretty confident that Lallana will be available for selection on Saturday.
-
Been to every away game bar Swindon & Derby, so fairly optimistic. Going to wait until getting tickets for Bristol City, and Donny hopefully if they go on sale before the cut off date for the ballot application.

Excellent deal, printed off 5 for the Watford game for me & my mates, pretty steaming by the time the game started tbf.` -
Thought we'd get a few more than that tbh, the footballgroundguide website says 2,800 for away fans.
-
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2495043,00.html Full allocation of 2,200. No further tickets to be made available. On sale to STH from Friday, 1 per customer number. Thought we'd get a few more than that tbh, can see this selling out a matter of a couple of days.

Can't see Lallana being fit enough to make the starting 11, would be good to have him on the bench in the 2nd half to bring on to get him some match sharpness back and then start him next Tuesday against posh. Davis Richardson - Fonte (if fit, if not Martin) - Hooiveld - Fox Guly - Hammond -Schneiderlin - Chaplow Lambert - Connolly Subs: Bart, Martin, Cork, De Ridder, Lallana The 5 subs rule is very annoying, as I'd also have Harding and Barnard on the bench if it was still 7.

Championship away attendances
saints_is_the_south replied to stevegrant's topic in Saints Away Supporters
Barnsley - 1,138 Ipswich - 1,165 Leicester - 2,682 Burnley - 1,155 Derby - 2,611 Reading - 4,203 Average - 2,159 No figures for Cardiff but I think we were given about 1,800. A few empty seats around where I was, so I'm guessing about 1700 approx. No figures for Swindon in the CC either but we filled the entire side bit which holds 1200 and had 3 or 400 hundred behind the goal. Should take atleast 2,500 to Cov if not 3k. Bristol City at the end of November will sell out too, maximum away allocation is 2800. -
Taking into consideration the 3 very gruelling games we've had over the past week, and the fact we have another massive game next Saturday against Boro who have a week with no game, I'd go with this: Bart Butterfield - Martin - Jos - Harding De Ridder - Schneiderlin - Cork - Holmes Forte - Guly Subs: Davis, Fox, Fonte, Richardson, Chaplow, Lambert, Reeves Cork & Morgan both only started 2 games out the 3 as opposed to Chappers who has started all 3, so I'd rest him and start those 2 in the middle. Palace will probably name a weakened side too, so I reckon the team above is definitely capable of getting a result. Good width and pace with De Ridder and Holmes on the wings, solid back 4. Only worry is up front with Forte and Guly, without Connolly and Lambert in the team and Barnard injured, it does make it very apparent that we do need another striker in January imo.

Also likely to be cheaper than Maynard? 45 goals in 94 appearances for Huddersfield, averaging nearly a goal every other game. Very good goalscorer, worth a punt for sure!
-
Signal failure at Basingstoke currently causing delays of up to 45 mins on the trains
-
Going via Basingstoke to avoid exactly the above, and for slightly cheaper train tickets.

Given the competence (or lack of) of the majority of the SFC TO staff, I'm going to trust the skates OS on this one regarding the allocation. 3200 must be the whole end, which would make sense as splitting the stand would be more difficult to police than if we just had the whole stand with the corners to keep us separate from the skates.
-
Initial allocation of over 1,500? Wasn't it 1,109?!
-
Just been down the TO to get mine and its sold out, more tickets on their way though should arrive tomorrow morning.

Watched it live on Al Jazeera's sport network which I have at home, nice bonus. They show a live Championship game most Saturday's, so the longer we stay at the top the more they might show of us.

Allocation of 1,024 and no mention of more being available if required. Surely that can't be it? Last time I went was on a Tuesday night and we took 1800 up there.
