Skate OS stated before the game: "crikey, there's hardly anyone here"

The Football Ground Guide recommends the Dove Inn on Doncaster Road. 5 minute walk from the ground, here are the directions: "From behind the Pontefract Road stand (home end), walk across the cark park and cross over Pontefract Road and walk down Oakwell Lane. At the end of the road, turn left onto Doncaster Road and you arrive at the pub". Checked it out on google street view, looks a nice pub from the outside and what I'd describe as a proper pub too!

Adkins sounds like he's taking tomorrow's game very seriously, I think we'll see a mixture of Saturday's team with a couple of changes. I'd play however, Bart Butterfield - Martin - Jaidi - Dickson De Ridder - Morgan - Chaplow - Holmes Barnard - Lambert

According to google maps it's a 6 minute walk from the ground to the station. Might have to leave a few minutes early to get back in time.

I am quite happy to hold my hands up about Hammond and say I was wrong. Games seemed to have passed him by in the last 2 seasons, and I always felt Cork and Morgan should be our starters. But fair play to the lad, he's proved me and a lot of others wrong because he bossed that game yesterday. And he scored a cracking goal too!

Looked like the Gradel one was a pen from the top of Block 36 where I was, but having seen it on the FL show definitely not, blatant dive even if there was slight contact.

One of the mates I go with had 3-1, think he come away with 50 notes.

Not if you were one of the first 100 and got 2 tickets for £29.50!

Who's doing this one then? Tues & Weds booked off long ago, going up on the train. 11.30 from Soton Central get to Ipswich about half 3 I think. There is a pub right by the station, funnily enough called the Station Inn. Guess most Saints fans that get the train will be heading there. As we are arriving quite early though might take walk into the town centre, anybody been to Ipswich before have any other boozers to recommend?

Surprising, given that we have always sold out or been close to it for previous games against Leeds. Understand it's on TV but didn't expect it to have such a big impact.

Forgot to mention approx 700 to Hartlepool on a Tuesday night too! I'd say we do take decent numbers to away games north of London tbf!
-
We took nearly 2k to Millwall the last time we went in 09/10. Also took 1k+ to Rochdale last season on a Tuesday night. Also recall taking 1800 to Coventry on a Tuesday night a few season back.

Johno quick!

Got mine today, just over 14.5k sold according to the TO guy.

Spot on.

Would easily still be playing in the prem if it weren't for his injury problems, class act.
-
I seem to recall there being about 20k for the Ajax friendly 2 years a go, was just off the back of Markus buying us though. Friendlies just don't interest me at all, would rather save the cash and use it on an away game during the season.

Train Fare Tips & Advice

Cardiff has now gone back to £14 return each through advance fares. To anybody planning on going though, I'd say book up now as the price keeps changing from week to week. -
Train Fare Tips & Advice

Looking at train fares for the Cardiff game in September. With 3 or more travelling, it was £14 return each with the game on the Tuesday. I've now searched for the Wednesday and it's a completely different price, only offering the advance fare on the outward journey but not the return (on the Thursday). Tried it for the Wednesday/Thursday the week before and it gives advance fares for both legs of the journey. Hopefully just a website error, weird. -
Those should have been the prices for the Torquay game.
