  1. From what I saw of their game last night they look a decent outfit, passed the ball around quite well and tried to attack Braga, but they were chasing shadows for a lot of the game too which has hopefully worn them out a bit. As has already been mentioned, we'll have to defend a lot better than we did against Forest otherwise I could see a first defeat at SMS on the cards. Still, I fancy us to take this one against a what I reckon will be a jaded and tired looking Birmingham side. By Sunday it will be their 3rd game in 7 days, and our 1st in 8. A start like we had against Leeds and Ipswich is key, run them into the ground first half and nick a couple of goals, then see the 2nd half out comfortably. COYR!
  2. Brighton and Reading
  3. Sounds good, cheers.
  4. Would imagine we'd take a similar number to Burnley that we did for Barnsley. Cardiff will be interesting on a Tuesday night.
  5. Going to start off at the spoons on the high street, 'The Earl of Mercia' and then move onto the pub Colinjb has recommended above I think.
  6. Been to Burnley before, can recommend the cricket club for pre-match pints. Right next to the away end.
  7. Really looking forward to this one. Staying up there the night, £25 Etap hotel between 3 of us. Got the train tickets ages ago, think it worked out something like £14 return on advance fares.
  8. Didn't rate him at all, certainly no better than Seaborne or Martin imo.
  9. Very very early I know, but if you book now then you can £34 return cross country direct from Southampton Central. Booked ours, arrive early doors half 9ish. Ground is miles from the city centre so allowed plenty of time to make the most of it!
  10. Without wishing to tempt fate, but judging by Forest's start to the season I'd like to think we could get a fairly comfortable 3 points here. Couldn't beat Barnsley (who I thought were utter garbage against us) in their 1st game at home, conceded 3 goals at home to Notts County in the cup, beaten easily at Millwall 2-0 and thrashed by West Ham 4-1. If we are on song then I fancy us putting a few past them.
  11. 2-0! Johno quick.
  12. Poor 1st half, 3rd goal shouldn't have stood though and ultimately made all the difference. Fantastic performance 2nd half, to dominate the title favs on their own patch for an entire 45 minutes was impressive. Could easily have won it, just checked out the stats and we had 11 shots on target to their 6! Definitely a lot to build on, but really feel we must get a top CB of NPC level, Seaborne is far to suspect for me and Fonte also looked nervous at times yesterday. Btw, was it just me or did Seaborne get booked twice? Was sure he got a card in the 1st half and then again in the 2nd.
  13. Don't recall the club even advertising a 2nd batch being on sale. Should be a cracking atmosphere.
  14. Any idea how many sold for this yet? See we've not been allocated any more tickets yet, be hugely dissapointing not to take atleast 2k to this given the start we've had.
  15. Definitely a good time to be playing them imo. Defensively looking quite shaky atm. Quietley confident that we could nick another 3 points, the aim should to be come out and play like we did in the first half at Ipswich, all guns blazing.
  16. Edit the above, hadn't seen the video behind the goal before posting.
  17. When I first opened this thread I thought what a ridiculous suggestion. Having now watched the replay of the shot about 5 times over, pausing it a few times, it definitely looks like it went past the post.
  18. £17 for me, bargain. Will probably bingo bus this one, had a good crack going to Barnsley with booze on the bus and made for a cheap day out.
  19. The Hythe & Waterside area where I live is very nice. I'm in Fawley, lovely quiet village (although you'd have to put up with the refinery being here, doesn't bother me though having lived here for 21 years). Got the forest and sea on your door step and town is only a 20 minute drive away. Would recommend Fawley or Langley as the nicest villages over Blackfield and Holbury. Hythe is quite nice too.
  20. The Dove Inn was a nice little pub, just a shame we didn't get to spend a bit longer there.
  21. Leyton Orient away, my fav away game of the 2 season's in League 1. Bompey away would be good too as didn't manage to get tickets for the game there last season.
  22. Goaaall! Chappers. 3-1, hopefully game set and match. Just moments after Bart makes a wonder save!
  23. I'd have gone had the prices been a bit more realistic. £14 + the booking fee/ticket tax, whatever want to call it. Rather save it for the 2 up coming away games.
