  1. Amazing game of cricket. Personally not the biggest fan of the ODIs, prefer test cricket but you can't complain about games like the one we witnessed today. Neither side deserved to lose, but both teams threw away the win! England looked set to be cruising before Strauss got out, then when it looked like we'd thrown it all away and India certain to win, Swann and Shahzad go a whack a few sixes to save it! Great, great game. Looking forward to watching the highlights again later.
  2. Get Guly off before he gets sent off ffs!
  3. +1. Even worse is watching all the plastics getting excited about it on Facebook, makes me f**king cringe!
  4. 5.20 KO = 2 hours extra in the pub before the game, winner.
  5. Bit of a slow start today but KP & Trott building a decent partnership. Bat for the rest of today and maybe til lunch tomorrow, put 500 on the board and then try and bowl them out for another innings win. 500 runs = a 400 lead so they'd need to put 500 on the board just to get a 100 run lead, unlikely I'd say.
  6. Sensational bowling display or extremley poor batting? Who cares?! Australia all out for 98!
  7. +1. In a commanding position again now, can't afford to let their tail waggle like it did in Peth......WICKET!! Smith gone, super bowling from Anderson.
  8. Hussy gone at long last! Now lets whittle through the tale and get them out by tea.
  9. +1.
  10. Been to bed for 4 hours, just got up for it now. Lets hope its worth it. Come on England!!
  11. No no! Excellent display from England all round, dominated, out classed & out fought and in the end crushed Australia.
  12. Weather forecast not looking good atall, most of the sites I've checked have rain down for virtually all day. Got the mrs here thinking about putting a big wager on the draw! £2k returns £4.5k on Ladbrokes at the moment.
  13. 551-4 at tea. Looks like the covers have just gone over the wicket. Lets hope this rain clears off soon!
  14. England going very well again, 498-4 with a lead of 253. About an hour to go til tea, should have the lead up to 300/320 by then. Bat for an hour or so after tea and then have a bowl late on in the day.
  15. No chance of taking 10 wickets in such a short space of time on this pitch imo. Would be nice to knock a few over later thought just to give them the jitters for the following tests.
  16. I'm off to Rome in a few weeks where it is currently 21c, not bad atall for the start of November.
  17. Wonderful celebration from the Napoli fans, the stewards and police didn't know what had hit them!
  18. Lallana close. Should have been 2.
  19. Bit late, but tomorrow's Belgrade derby between Red Star and Partizan would be a mental game to go to.
  20. Despite the bad press Rome receives for football violence, I have been over there now for nearly 10 Roma games. Always have a cracking weekend, plenty of decent boozers around the historic centre and tickets are easy to come by too (unless you go to a big game such as the derby or Inter, Milan and Juve - but even then there will still be the most expensive tickets available to buy in Rome). My advice is that if possible, wait until you get there to buy the tickets. Ticketing agencies will try and make you believe that the game is a near sell out and that they have the last tickets...etc when that is a load of ********. You pay them before they've even got their middle man in whatever city to go and get the tickets. When I go to Rome, my first stop is one of the Roma stores (there are several in the city) to pick up the tickets, never had a problem before. For big games, and I can only speak about Italian matches here - if you want there is a ticketing website where you can purchase the tickets online and then pick them up on match day. I did this for the Rome derby lasy November and had no problems. http://www.listicket.it My next trip is coming up in a months time, Roma v Udinese and then Bayern in the CL for me. Good luck where ever you choose to go.
  21. +1. Improve the beer on offer and it becomes a great idea, until then no. What's the chances of Peroni on tap Nicola?
  22. Yes as it happens, which is where I got the £55 from. I also tried it via Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Oxford...etc which is why I asked for any other possible routes.
  23. Yeah I did suspect this. Last season managed to plan things well in advance, managed to do Southampton to Carlisle return for about £35 return all in all. Not been as organised this time around for 1 reason or another. Cheers anyway.
  24. Anybody come up with any possible train routes from Southampton? Aside from going through London at £55 quid each return, not found much else.
