Meh, however much it is - a 30 second walk over the local still beats spending 2 hours on a bus there & back to town!
-
Oo er! Bus in to town = £6 return = 2 less pints. No bus in to town = 2 pints more. No brainer tbf.

Think Peterborough will be the closest challengers, they were relegated a long time before the other 2 so have more time to prepare for L1. I expect Sheff Wed to start the season a bit like we did last season, suffering from the relegation hangover but will make the play offs at the end. Definatly think Brighton will be up there, Poyet is a good coach at this level and they'll be in the play offs for sure. Huddersfield will be there again. Swindon to suffer the play off final defeat hangover and end up midtable, already lost Billy Paynter and wouldn't be surprised to see Austin go either.

Reply from David Luker re installment plan
saints_is_the_south replied to Huffton's topic in The Saints
Couldn't have put it any better myself. Sent another email back to Luker about how this whole saga is going to reduce ST numbers and that they really should think about reviewing it. Even suggested adding a £10/£15 surcharge on for those who do wish to pay monthly to cover the admin cost. -
It would appear to me that the season ticket prices/lack of an installment plan/booking tax on tickets are facts, not speculation and unsubstantiated rumours.
-
Anybody who has their fan charter at home should take it down to the ticket office and show them the above paragraph. Perhaps even send it to NC highlighting it aswell. I believe this was only produced in December 2009 so why the sudden u-turn in the space of 6 months? Luckily for me it looks like my brother will lend me the money, still not happy about this atall though. As had already been said, had they come out earlier this year and said we won't be offering payment plans then fair enough people would have the chance to save up but to do it now and give people a months notice is just plain stupid. With people going on holiday in the summer, the country only just coming out of recession it just doesn't make sense to be asking people, especially families of 3 or 4 who all have STs the best part of a grand in 30 days just doesn't make sense.

Anybody had a reply from Luker yet?

Anybody got a link to these 0% for 12 month credit cards then? Only Barclaycard ones I can find at the moment are 0% for a couple of months.
-
Be interesting to see the result of the poll just added, on current terms I will not be able to.
-
If enough people email David Luker about this then surely the club will review it if they realise a load of STH aren't going to renew because of it. Somebody on the other thread mentioned that in the clubs charter released in December 2010 there is a sentence in there saying the club will continue to offer payment installments to help fans pay for ST's, if this is the case then it should definatly be highlighted. Unless I can borrow some money from somewhere then I know I certainly won't be able to renew.
-
E-mailed Luker about the no installment plan, hopefully enough people will do the same for the club to review that. Its alright people saying "oh you should have saved" - not so easy having been made redundant in april and only finding another job recent.y, add to that a long time booked holiday in july to pay for. I'm gunna struggle big time if they dont bring back the installment plan thats so sho.

Big win 2ma I reckon, 4 or 5 goals. Huddersfield will still win though...

Some of the people on here amaze me, slating Morgan now whilst you were all w*nking over him on Tuesday night!? Forget the play offs, they never were & never will happen this season. Get over it & get a grip... -
County Ground in Hove?

+1. And building themselves up for dissapointment! I forgot about the play offs after the Swindon game. Just going to enjoy the end of season with a few more wins & being less than 10 points from the play offs will do me fine. Ofcourse if we do somehow make it i'll be plesantly delighted!

Looks good but for some reason I can only view the Overseas Saints & Away days section but not the main board. -
1. Leyton Orient - Some very decent boozers, coming back from 2 nil down was good & after the game at the hole in the wall was a good crack. 2. Hartlepool - Great day, lots of beer, a win & the hospitality of the people of Hartlepool. Oh & it was my birthday too! One to look back on when we are back in the prem & be able to say "i was at hartlepool on that cold tuesday night in November!" 3. Carlisle - Another cracking day up north, loads of beer on the train & then in Carlisle followed by Jaidi popping up in the 95th minute to score.
-
Good idea, would certainly be interested for northern away games where the cost of a train is just too much.

A lot of people I know are getting the 6.55 in order to avoid the the 8.25 one which will be even more packed. I expect a lot of people have this idea so the 6.55 will be just as busy. My group will be getting to central just after 6 to avoid the queues & get a decent place on the platform to make sure we get on the train!
