Very very impressed by them tonight, moved the ball around really well and looked so confident, genuinley looked like scoring every time they went forward.

English fo sho.

Just read that out to the guys at work, talk about clutching at straws! It's enough for me though!
-
Not often I agree with old saggy chops but when they were talking about what should be the starting 11 for tomorrows game a second ago on the beeb he got it spot on. ----------------------James-------------------- Johnson-----Terry----------Upson-----A.Cole ----------------------Barry--------------------- ----------Gerrard------------Lampard-------- Lennon----------------------------------J.Cole --------------------Rooney-------------------- Barry to sit infront of the defence, Gerrard and Lampard to bomb forward from the middle. Joe Cole on the left for a bit of magic and Lennon with speed on the right and Rooney up top on his own. Some may say negative only playing one striker but with the other 4 coming forward from midfield there is plenty of goals in that team, Johnson & Cole are attacking full backs too.
-
Exactly the thoughts I had too! 1-1 also being my prediction.
-
That would be my team too but more likely to be something like this IMO: Green Johnson Terry Carragher A.Cole Lennon Lampard Barry Gerrard Rooney Crouch Gerrard was played on the left in the qualifiers when we were playing some great football. Only doubts are between Green/James/Hart & Heskey/Crouch I'd say. Need a start like we had against the US tonight and then to build on it this time. Get an early goal and I think we'll score 3 or 4 tonight but the longer it goes without us scoring the more confident Algeria will get and the harder they will become to break down.

Said from the start France were my prediction out of the "big" nations to go out at the group stage. They are truley gash. Very good performance by Mexico though, played some great football. It's possible we could meet them in the QF if we win our group, not a game I'd look forward to tbh as I reckon they are capable of upsetting anyone.

Is this poll for real? No f*cking way!
-
According to the BBC these 2 have had 3 shots on target between them in the 1st game, expecting a yawn fest. A draw won't do for either side though so who knows.

Just been down to West Quay to buy mine, love it. 10/10

Why would Rickie need resting after playing 1 game?! He's had the whole summer to rest, and the same goes for the rest of the squad. Full strength team in both games, lets start the season off by getting a winning mentality.
-
He might not have been here long but his performances last season were top drawer, I can barely remember him having a poor game. Hope signing Dickson doesn't mean Harding will be leaving as the echo hinted the other day, would be a big mistake as Harding is the best LB in League 1 IMO.

A good one to chant to **** them off, to the tune of we've got Antonio... "We've saved you loads of times, we've saved you loads of times..." -

Chile have a couple of decent players, Alexis Sanchez in particular is a fantastic talent. Would expect them to finish 2nd in this group behind Spain.

My mistake, got my 7 & 8 the wrong way round. It was 1987! -

As it's a cup game wouldn't Bournemouth be entitled to 15% of capacity? Even though it's a cup game I can see them bringing more than 2,500 since it will be the first competitive fixture between the sides since 1978. -

I can speak a pretty decent basic Italian and can also confirm that the above is correct!

Hats off to North Korea, fought superbly and got a well deserved goal then at the end. Only Germany out of the big boys to impress so far, Spain's turn tomorrow and then we're into the 2nd round of games already.
