Tis true. I used to work in the car shop in Romsey and served him once. Nice bloke.

I totally agree and have done since the start of the season. We are in what, week twenty something of a five year plan. This season was onlyh ever going to be about survival, anything more will be a bonus, sit back, enjoy the ride, and give AP and the board the time to re-build the club.

SSN reporting this morning that Spurs are in for James. Quelle surprise...

The Semi-annual 'Would you want David Prutton back?' thread
Huffton replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
I would have him back tomorrow, in fact I would drive all the way to Leeds to pick him up. THis is a dirty horrible **** league and we are crying out for a dirty horrible **** player to stand up in the middle and stick his boot in, break up play, and break the odd bone. Wotton should be that player but for whatever reason just isn't doing it. Prutts would fit in beautifully, with the added advantage that he is far more mobile than Wotton, and may even score a goal or two. -
Fair enough, but they also need to ban these little chav c**ts that roam the streets from covering their faces with scarves so they can mug the next unsuspecting passer by without being identifiable.

Considering that was the first time they had played together I tought they did OK, Fonte the best. Harding I thought struggled a bit at times, although did make a few good last ditch tackles. Just seen the goals again on the iplayer, Otsembor should have just done the millwall lad for their goal, he wasn't even on a yellow and he was going away from goal at the time. Hindsight and all that. Give them another couple of weeks to build up an understanding and we will have a very strong back line.

Really? I didn't see a single problem with them, and had a nice chat with a couple of them as we queued to go in. Thought the stewards all seemed friendly and polite as well. But then again I didn't go looking for trouble, or start acting like a drunken yob... -
Look, you know you can't come on here spouting such a balanced, in perspective view and get away with it.

Just got back, won't say any more about the game, but if the bloke who was stood in the far back left corner of the stand slagging off Saints and AP and everything related to Saints for the entire 90 mins uses this message board, mate, go and find another club to support, or even another sport, seriously.

Davis every time.

That film was required watching when I was at school in the early 80's. It looks a bit dated now but at the same time brings it home because it is set in this country and filmed almost as a documentary. You should be able to download the whole thing easily enough using bittorrent or something similar.

From looking at that though he's not training with a pro club? WHat I meant was to be taken on by a club for a whole year, to live as a pro for that year. Good luck to that lad but it looks a bit 'Simon Clifford' to me, and we all know what a force in football Garforth Town are!

Chesney takes a cheeky peek ay pompeys latest bank statement...

Interesting debate, all mickey taking aside. I've often wondered about how far you could get in any given sport, if you could take a year off work and live and train as a pro, how much of it is raw talent and how much is taught and coached. Idea for a new reality show maybe?

Guess it depends on the manager. AP comes across to me as a very 'hands on' manager, he likes to be there at training and really coaching the squad himself, so perhaps a DoF would be a good addition for him to free up more 'football time' and less time spent worrying about contracts, signings, interviews etc. Other managers tend to take a more back role and let the coaches take training while they tend to oversee the whole package, someone like Redcrap or Wenger perhaps. Not really got an opinion on it myself, if its what AP wants then go for it, if not, then don't. Simples.

Thats got it going. You can then wind it back to the start. Weird. Anyhow, LOL at the fat ginge from down the road, a perfect case of inbreeding if ever there was one!
