  1. Names please
  2. Trousers in smugly predictable complacent "joke" shocker... ;-) etc etc. Yawn
  3. Agree it looks potentially dodgy - but I guess thats why his mate got off (she consented to go with him, implying consent to have sex???). By the time Ched Evans turned up, maybe she was at that stage too pi.ssed to give consent?????? Dunno - but will be interesting to see how story develops.
  4. Doesn't exactly make the world, (or just the UK for that matter), a better place though does it!
  5. Given that our economy is 70% services and that all the evidence suggests that growth is being restricted by a lack of demand I would say that we are unlikley to be out of the woods just yet: i) The Eurozone crisis is just bubbling under and will re-surface when it becomes apparent that the austerity measures in (Greece), Spain and Italy aren't working. ii) (Possibly more importantly) we have only seen less than 10% of govt cuts enacted so far. More cuts = less money in economy = less demand. I hope I'm wrong.
  6. Lots of morons in Dorset then - they've closed the pumps there in police advice cause of queues. Wrong again Jackanory, do try and keep up.
  7. Australia
  8. You only have to think about how much quicker incomes have risen for the top 1% vs the rest to appreciate that it is not surprising that their proportionate tax contribution has also increased. Back in the day (as recently as the sixties), investment bankers earned approx the same as doctors and senior managers. Now they can earn a multiple of that.
  9. I wonder if a small part of the reaction is because it's been a good opportunity for 'the football family' (whatever that is) to show the better side of its nature. There's been a lot of nasty stuff recently with racism and I think this horrible situation has allowed the focus to be on footballs' cameraderie rather than it's pettyness. I think its a good thing btw (fwiw).
  10. Depends if its you.
  11. Quite. Amazing how many 'supporters' fail at the fundamentals.....
  12. I agree - off to the pub anticipating dissappointment.
  13. As usual the stupidity on this board knows no bounds. My point is that even the IMF recently argued that austerity alone would not bring down deficits - you need a combination of fiscal tightening and growth. If you do cuts without growth you get into a downward spiral - see Greece. Even our own govt is, somewhat ironically, calling for Germany to do more than just call for more austerity with that country because it knows that this will not bring a solution. So its not simply a question of more cuts = less debt; in case you hadn't noticed the govt recently said it would have to borrow another £158 billion because the economy hadn't grown as expected. Finally, I'm not a Labour party supporter - but I do like things like jobs and decent services. HTH.
  14. Just to let everyone know - so far the coalition have only completed 6% of the cuts they propose. How do people think the economy will respond as the remaing 94% get implemented?
  15. WHU are a joke. I will pi.ss myself if they don't go up having spent so much/wages and still only achieved such a tedious boring style of play. Normally I see them as comparable to ourselves but this season they're acting like utter cu.nts. (Had to get that off my chest)
  16. Two words: shop window. Did himself no harm either.
  17. A fit Jaidi would definately be a plus for the squad. To say he couldn't do a job is to ignore the contributions made by Darren Moore and Linvoy Primus in other (despised) promoted teams.
  18. For a crazy late bar full of weirdos go to the Kumpelnest - I've only ever been there smashed but loved it every time. If I recall correctly, the walls are carpeted.
  19. If you know to make it more transmissable then you have a better chance of knowing how to produce a vaccine quickly when it inevitably mutates 'naturally' in the environment. Sensible to do research into this topic and equally sensible to be cautious about publicising the full method/result. Having said that, if you're sufficiently technically aware to be able do this experiment/procedure then you are certainly capable of doing loads of other really dangerous stuff that is already out there. Eg. make a shed load of ricin.
  20. De Ridder will come good I reckon. Just needs to settle down a bit and relax - anyone remember Gulys first few games for us?
  21. She'll be gone by the end of next week - you don't fu ck with the civil service like that and survive.
  22. Definately agree with this - although Fonte could do a job, the thought of going into the prem with our current defence is terrifying.
  23. Not make or break, but obviously a strong indicator for the future. I would also humbly observe that The Championship appears to be an even more competitive division than League 1 and so the likelihood of any promotion/play-off positions being settled early are remote. I expect us to be 'in the mix' for automatic right up until the last month. Will we be ultimately successful? IMHO I think we could just as well as end up first as seventh - there are simply so many teams who can beat eachother.
  24. At last someone else has noticed the futility of trying to get into the Prem when we haven't even got a club historian on the books. Bloody amateurs! If only someone could think of the right person - you know, who deserves his completely impartial unbiased opinion to be heard and respected.
