Our goal difference at present is worth a point extra over all the teams in the league,although this only really applies to the teams at the top in particular. Along with many on here,I am sure I am right in saying, if it comes down to gd for a top 2 finish,most of us on here will have had all of our nerves totally shredded by 4.55 pm on saturday 28th of April.

Agree with you totally Dave,the angle the way the ball came back off Green and the way he was running in,gave him no chance to open his body up for a simple tap in. I did not play football above a pretty low level by the way.

On paper and I repeat on paper this is one of our easier away games. We have to win it,especially if West Ham win on saturday lunch time, we have to believe we can win the league,because playing for just second place is far,far too risky a thing to do.

West Ham seem to be playing better with ten men than eleven at present. To be honest,all 3 games were likely to be away wins and it is still in our own hands,so nothing has really changed,except that we have dropped down to second.

We have some extremely tough away games to come. Leeds away has just become a much more difficult game,with the appointment of Warnock We have also yet to win an away game against a side currently above 14th in the league. Just being a realist and we will definately lose a few more games,like all other teams in the league. Saying all that our away form has always been our achilles heel,but that does not mean that we will not finish top two. I would love to be proved wrong,about us remaining unbeaten,but I really cannot see it.

When we play like we did at times today we are unplayable in this league,[however we switched off totally from around 30 th minute to our second goal and we cannot keep doing this and getting away with it]. Lallana was magnificent and I thought Chaplow and Schneiderlin were superb as well. Harding worries the hell out of me at right back and the quicker we get Butterfield back the better. Overall well pleased.

NA will get Billy Sharp very fit[it maybe the start of next season,before we reap the full benefits],but rest assured some of you so called fans on here,he will score his fair share of goals between now and the rest of the season.

Spoke to my mate who was there,he said we probably just about deserved to win,but said they played very well with 10 men. He also said that Robert Green was exceptional.

Good read,however Alan Ball was arguably the best one touch English player since the sixties and irreplacable and we only lost I believe 7 games out of 42,so on that basis we can only afford one more defeat,pro rata. I think we went up with some where between 20 and 23 wins,so we would need 78-80points to equal that,which would is achievable.Whether that would be enough to get us up,is open to debate.

If Grant Holt who lets be honest is just a big lump,has scored 11 goals in the premier league,how many would Rickie [ a far,far better footballer score,with us hopefully]. Rickie gets better every game and his close control is absolutely top drawer. I am really excited what Rickie and Billy Sharp,can achieve for the rest of this season. The with us proviso with Rickie,is because he will be in great demand,if we are not promoted this season .[ 50/50 I would say].

Lambert and Sharp linked up really well for the first start together, No reason we cannot get something from Upton Park on tuesday if we play like that.Well pleased overall,with all players 7/10 plus,well pleased tonight.

We need our strongest eleven available for every match, from here on in.

We are second in the league,which is fantastic,we are on a terrible run,which is not good.I think in the next threeish months we will find out whether NA is good enough to get us promoted or not,then is maybe the time to make overall judgements.

We may have started with half our starting eleven,but so did Millwall.When we were winning all our home games,we were straight at it from the word go,now we are tentative and take 20 minutes or more to get into our stride.The main strenghth we have is our attack,so lets play to it,and keep the door shut at the back,some thing we are finding extremely difficult.We may have a reasonable squad,but we still have no real cover at left back,goalkeeper and centre half. Aaron Martin blows hot and cold and Harding is simply not good enough.
