He tries to be creative,so that is a plus, whether his attitude will improve over time, only time will tell.

Very good point,I thought the defence wsas sound, and Punch was excellent again .

David Cameron mentions Saints v Pompey rivalry in the house today.
corsacar saint replied to CLOTH EARS's topic in The Saints
That prat Cameron, has as much knowledge on football,as he does running this country, which should be his overriding concern. I did not vote for the tories either, never have and never will, not even if they were the only party in the country, hate them. As much as I think we need the rivalry, what other business with original debts of 140,000000 pounds would or should survive. Our debts of the mortgage of the stadium, pale into insignifance against that vast ammount. -
The RL incident in the first half, was too far away to see properly, the trip on Al was as blatant a penalty as you are likely to see.The referee and his assistants were a total bunch of bottlers and tossers,to go with the many we have already seen at SMS this season.

A much better player than Collins.Maybe the wages could be an issue, unless Stoke pay some.
-
Excellent news,I hope the move works out exceptionally well for both parties.
-
The next 3 games will go a long way towards deciding where we finish 5 points minimum needed,to send out the right message to the rest of the top 6.

If JP does it on the pitch and helps us go up,that will be fine as far as I am concerned.Still to be convinced that will happen, but will be delighted to be proved wrong.

Best bit of business Southampton have ever done

Most of the above are decent shouts. What about KK,the publicity and great football we played when he was here, will take some beating. -
He's a legend, but would you want him touching your bottom?

He now manages Skonto Rige in Latvia. He is good friends with the latvian manager[ not owner ] of the car wash next to -
Bhoy67,it is a real pleasure,to have a fan from another club on this message board, who knows what he is talking about. It is normal to get Portsmouth or Brighton fans on here, spouting total bile and vitriol. People like yourself are welcome on here, any time. For the record,if we go up,we have great ambitions, but your club for all its massive history, will always be bigger than ours.
-
I did not see this result coming, absolutely ecstatic.
-
Forest were the best side going forward[ by a country mile]I have seen at SMS this season, defensively they were poor. This will be really tough, considering our poor away form of late.
-
How does one of the worst players we have had at the club in years attract so much attention on here. Amongst some of you it almost borders on hero worship. [ lol ]

Poyet and his team have the worst disciplinary record in the entire league, bar perhaps 1 or 2,says it all. Brighton have outplayed us once in 6 games,in Poyets first game in charge,he obviously had not had the time to instil the cheating, dirty south american style football they now play.

Brighton 3 Saints 0 Post match chat!

I thought we might lose this 1-0,[ but 3-0,for gods sake] we are still miracouasly top on goal difference, but the wheels are coming off. We have to show our intent and get some decent players in now. -
We will need to be way,way better than we have being away from home to win this. Struggling with injuries and suspensions,Brighton will be well up for this one,and so will their crowd.

It has been a magnificent year to be a Saints fan. It is in our own hands[just],where we finish at the end of April.

Saints 0 Bristol City 1 - Post Match Reactions

They did the same job on us at Ashton Gate. We were beaten by a hard working side which is extremely infuriating,as we were not out skilled. As another poster alluded NA may now have to re -assess his transfer plans,if we are going to stay in the top 2. My m.o.m would be Jos,which shows what an awful display we put on as an attacking force.[ I think David James had 2 saves to make all night]. The referee was totally unacceptable, but even he cannot be totally blamed for such a poor performance. Well pleased with the year in general, but 4 of the last 6 performances have not been good enough for a team that is top of the league. -
Great news,it is fantastic to know that every one bar none, are on the bus. A top new striker and a play maker will top it off nicely.
-
Jos or Morgan and Jack Cork was magnificent as well.
-
Jos was magnificent today,as usual.
-
More like our early season form,I thought the midfield were superb,De Ridder on the whole was excellent and Jos was magnificent. Guly [ a player I really like, but has frustrated the hell out of me,for the last month or more] was in the right place twice to score, despite having a pretty off game. So all in all well pleased.

Has to be MLT,because he still would of had to keep us up single handedly the other seasons.
