Absolutely delighted,spoke to my best mate who was there,he said first half in particular we were magnificent.He said nit picking that Seaborne was very ordinary but was the only weak link. Like someone else has already said, I am delighted to see that Rickie scored his first goals in the championship. What an unbelievable time to be a Saints fan.

Tough,tough game the fact they lost at home saturday does certainly not help our cause.

Rickie is a far,far better footballer than some on here think he is. He is a very good passer of a ball[many goal assists] and wins plenty in the air. He is a terrific penalty taker,and will score his share of goals in this league.

Going forward on this performance we will score plenty,we might need too,as defensively we can at times look shaky. 3 superb goals and desperately unlucky when Chaplow smashed a shot against the post late on with Lonergan well beaten. I thought the new leaner Rickie,was superb,and what does the guy have to do to win a free kick.[Having said that I thought the referee had an excellent game overall]. Great we have finally won a game at home,at the first time of asking. Well pleased well done Saints.

The first home league win at -St Marys against Charlton was pretty special. We beat them 1-0 thanks to a superb Beattie cross and an equally superb Pahars header. We absolutely pulverised them the whole game,and they nearly mugged a point in the last couple of minutes,when a bobbling shot,and their only shot on target in the game came back of the inside of the post. Definately not the best game,but arguably the most important home win,especially as it took us till november to get it.

If we win,it is a great saturday evening,if we lose,well?

My dad first took me when I was 8[now 56]I have loved the club ever since.

The main problem in the 4 day game is the batting. Dawson apart[and even he has struggled since coming back from injury],the top 6 batting has been awful,whether it is the case of them all being out of form at the same time is debatable. Maybe one or two or even three are past their sell by date.[i hope this is not the case]. Myburgh and De Wet have to be two of the worst kolpak signings of all time for any county. Even if we had only got him in for the second half of the season surely Chanderpaul plus Chris Gayle for the first couple of months for the first half of the season would have been a better option.
