Good luck to Huddersfield in the play offs, they certainly deserve to win them for the way they have played this season. -

Brentford 0 - 3 Saints - Post Match Reaction
corsacar saint replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Great win today, and second place is totally in our own hands,we cannot ask anymore than that. Also the fact Plymouth have to attack us on monday will hopefully play into our hands. -
Myburgh looks like a one day player Ron.It is about time that the rest of the batsmen start pulling their weight. Adams and Dawson have been superb, and must feel terribly let down at present by their colleagues.

NA came across really well in the interview. His wife and two sons[21 and 18] are living in S****horpe. He sure is making big sacrifices to be here, and says he loves it here and loves the job .

Brighton Doing Us A Favour On Saturday Beating Huddersfield...!?!

As long as we beat Brentford it does not matter what Huddersfield do,although I can see vthem winning at Brighton on saturday. -

Mike,I will happily donate for anything to do with the great man Markus Liebherr. If you can put your e-mail address on here,I will sort out a donation with you.[Myself and paypal do not go together]. -
When they did a piece on the football league show on sky tv,with Adam Lallana the week leading up to the Bournemouth away game,Forster the Brentford manager was studio guest on the programme. George Glavin asked Forster did he rate Lallana the best player in league 1,to which he replied no,but he is in the top 5. I hope Adam rams those words down his throat on saturday. As an asside I used to work with a Brentford fan,who is now retired, and he was a total, stuck up,pompous prat.

Nothing wrong with Bulgaria, whoever mentioned it. My mate and his wife have a lovely property they own in Ventrino about 45 km from Varna. It is a lovely village and the people are superb.[My mate is also a big Saints fan to boot, and has a season ticket at St Marys which he uses when he is home]

Marians two against Everton in 1999/2000 were pretty good and very important.
-
They have a few of their better players injured, which hopefully augers well. If we can win this win,I am sure we can win at least one of the last two.

Saints V Hartlepool 2-0 Post Match Chat
corsacar saint replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
Did what we had to,now for the most two important away games in years,four[4] points would be fantastic, even three[3] if Huddersfield lose at Brighton.[Not sure they will] We owe both Brentford and Plymouth big time for winning at St Marys, both tricky games for different reasons. -
Colchester v Brighton what are SKY Playing at?
corsacar saint replied to adysaint's topic in General Sports
Beat me to the post Ladysaint,my post was to say that after Poyets outburst on how great a footballing side Brighton are[and we are not],that perhaps sky will have their highest viewing figures for a game outside the premiership.[i think not] -
The Manor Ground in 1976,left an an awful lot to be desired.

Fantastic result, and terrific we kept going till the last minute as well. Hopefully we can keep it going another 4 games. -
Poyet compares us with Dagenham and Redbridge
corsacar saint replied to thegaffer's topic in The Saints
Brighton are a better side because they won the league. However we have outplayed them twice, especially at St Marys where we deserved to beat them having totally outplayed them the whole game. I am afraid Poyet comes across in his interview as an ungraceful, blinkered bad loser. -
Must win game today,or draw at least, the way Huddersfield are grinding out results it is possible they will win at Brighton next week[brighton are far more likely to be up for today than next week]. A defeat today and we will almost certainly have to win our last 4 games, which the way we played at Rochdale and home to Rovers is a very tall order. As Poyet says we have the best players, but he has the best team. Do we have the bottle to show we are the second best team,I pray we do and do not end up in the lotterty of the play offs. If we do not go up this year, the repercussions losing players etc are unthikable.

We will see what we are made of now. Did we expect anything else as Saints fans other than a white knuckle ride of the highest order.

Who is more important Lallana or Chamberlain
corsacar saint replied to alki_in_korea's topic in The Saints
Lallana is the most important player in the team, because without his creativity we look very very ordinary. -
If we play as badly on saturday as we did in the first halves against Rochdale and Bristol Rovers we will lose by at least a couple of goals. I still think we are a far better footballing side than Brighton, but they know how to win ugly as they say, something we struggle to do on a regular basis. Lets hope we start playing from the first minute and give ourselves as good a chance as possible of getting something from the game.

Very frustrating and inconsistent. However at times he can be absolutely brilliant, and on his day is streets ahead of the rest of the team with his thought and passing. He will hopefully stand out in a higher league, when we go up.

My night at the PFA Awards with Davis, Lallana, Harding & Fonte

Nice one. -
Great for all our players concerned, but surely they would all swap their selection for automatic promotion.[Hopefully they will all get that with us as well].

Great goal to win the game,Connolly was class and could be very important now Barnard has been added to our growing injury list .
