Permanent signings in january are surely better than any short term loan deals till january.
-
Brighton were there for the taking, they were very well organised at the back, but very ordinary. We have to get a decent goalscorer in for january. I am afraid for whatever reason,Rickie does not look like scoring, and how he missed the header at the start of the second half, only he knows. As for the referee, how the foul on Lallana was not a penalty, and the inoccuos touch on Murray was,he is the only person who can answer that. Finally how did Ankergren stayed on the pitch for time wasting the entire game?

Club versus Country? A study into football fan loyalty

Saints first end of. -
Heart says 3-1 Saints,Head says 1-0 Brighton.

Thanks Kenny for that, must have been Peachey who had a great debut then.

I am still not totally convinced that we handle expectancy as well as we could/should be able to,as a team. Therefore agreeing with Corky again,I am also nervous about the game. If we play as well as we can, there is no reason that we should not win, however last seasons result will hopefully act as the wake up call we need,to start playing from the first minute.

Paul Gilchrist scored on his debut in a night match against Newcastle in february 1974,which we won 3-1,after going behind to a Malcolm Macdonald goal. One of the last games we won that season as we were relegated. David Peach scored as well, and it may have been his debut also.

Give credit where credit is due,Hammond has been a lot better since Chaplow has been alongside him. I think as Corky Morris alludes to Schneiderlin will be a top player at a much higher level than at present, but for whatever reason,he does very rarely step outside his comfort zone for Saints.

Should be anything between 26,000 and capacity after todays result.
-
Could and should have been at least 6,how Guly missed the header[centre of 6 yard box,and easier than the 1 he scored, and the one on one,I am not really sure].If we play like that against Brighton, and do not take our foot off the gas,we should hopefully win. Jaidi was superb,Fonte gave the goal away. For the record I thought Chaplow was the best player on the pitch for the second home game running, also very impressed with Dickson, and Richardson was very good today as well.
-
Jaidi will be better against Aaron Maclean, than any other center back we have.
-
I have always thought he had ability, sounds like he had an ego to match as well.

If a league 2 player is the height of our ambition, then god help us.

I know a guy who uses a pub in Baddesley every night of the week, and he told me that he has not seen RL in there for a few months. The guy is a big Saints fan.

Peterboro may have the worst defence bar none in the country, but they have the league 1 best front 3. This game could be anything but a gimme.
-
No point whatsoever,he would be totally crucified if he joined as an ex Pompey player.Added to that would he really add much to the team.
-
One of the few we have who can make things happen. I hope this is not true, but would not be surprised if it is.

I have no problem whatsoever with NA,I like the man. The problem I have with yesterdays result is scoring 2 goals away from home, and losing the match, simply not acceptable.

Scoring 2 goals away from home should mean 3 points. We should not be losing to the likes of Carlisle if we want automatic promotion. Dickson needs to play next week. -

Not good enough, sounds like we defended poorly, and missed too many chances. With Brighton and Huddersfield losing it makes this result even worse. Hopefully Dickson gets a game next week. -
Only his flawed temperment stopped Mark Dennis from being an England player. He played for the under 23s,and ability wise was good enough in many peoples eyes to make the full England side.

I am talking about the last 4 years. To get S****horpe up twice, and to keep them up on average gates of 5000 is pretty damn special in my book. -

We know have the best manager in league 1[And one of the best outside the premiership],so what is the need to keep raking up the past. -

It keeps the winning run going, which is the most important thing, and we just managed to avoid that dreaded reply. -
Your right about the 6th position Lighthouse, perhaps you and I should both brush up on our facts.
