  1. So are you saying them being poor was solely down to Saints? We had to defend 14 corners. KD made some excellent saves. If you think Saints alone made them poor, we didn't stop them getting 14 corners, did we? Yes we were better, but at the moment still quite a way from being good enough. Sorry if a bit of realism upsets you.
  2. I think superb might be overstating the case. It's good to get a point. It's good to keep a clean sheet. Some lessons seem to have been learned (like not leaving four opponents unmarked 2 yards from goal). Someone may have finally accepted that we have to play some experienced players in the mix even if it costs. But we do need to recognise that independent commentators thought Sheff U were very poor by their standards. And KD again still had to make some sharp saves. That said, just maybe we might have begun to become a little more resilient. It is something hopefully the club as a whole will build on.
  3. Yes that's right. So if Lowe wanted to get rid of Rudi then the best way was to play him and give him the opportunity to show what he can do. So since you have dismissed lack of motivation on Rudi's part, why wasn't he playing? Injury? Lack of fitness? His lack of fitness cannot be because he isn't motivated, because you've already dismissed that. Could it be he is unfit because of him being sidelined and deliberately ignored in order to force him to accept any offer? Possibly. If we needed Rudi off the payroll you aren't going to do it by letting him become unfit and leaving him out of the side. I'm afraid all the circumstances lead one to the inevitable conclusion that Lowe's approach was utterly counter-productive. It got to the point before Sheff U that he just had to change his approach, and get something out of Skacel rather than pay him for nothing, while at the same time putting him in the window for January.
  4. those who say "It was obvious from the start that all we can hope for is to escape relegation, theres no money and there is nothing else that can be done" OR those that say "We are powderpuffs, but surely there are other options, there are always options..there must be other options"? If you had shares in a failing business and you had a managing director who just kept telling you "there's no money, we can't do anything, let's just cross our fingers and hope" you'd be looking for another leader, wouldn't you?
  5. Yes, and there were people on here earlier in the season saying JP would have backed the signings or even checked them out (on video)! Are they still all still his signings?
  6. But that's what the revolution is - all spin.
  7. St Mary's needs something to stop the rot.
  8. ...And anybody who wants to buy have bought? I hope you are not suggesting that there has been any insider dealing going on.
  9. Can anyone refresh my memory. Who was in charge when money satchell was signed and therefore agreed his contract?
  10. What, a repeat of the mystery injury he picked up at the end of last season called "IDONTWANNAPUTMYOLDTEAMDOWN_ITIS". But its a real relief that with Sheff U being such a big physical side, JV has Gillett available. And I'm so glad to see we've not taken on yet another injury-prone player in Smith.
  11. I think its more than coffee he is begining to smell. I think the Watford result has acted as an effective laxative, and if Lowe is spotted around the stadium in his training shorts again, it's because his suit and pants are in the wash.
  12. Yup, them snake-oil salesmen are in symbiotic partnership with the Emeror's tailor.
  13. Not to mention Rupert's own Public School Book For Boys "Well It's Alright in the Middle Third"
  14. Another 3 poor displays and JP will resign - he looks as though he knows he's out of his depth.
  15. I keep reading these innuendos about Cowan being outed, but must have missed the original outing. Is he Scoobie or something equally debillitating? What's it all about, Alfie, sorry, Johnny?
  16. So the football's been good, except for creating chances and scoring, and defending all that stuff you mention above? So the bits that are left are 1) shot-stopping and 2) a bit of fancy stuff in the middle of the park. That's not what I call good football, and thats why people are staying away. Wins (and wins at home in particular) are what will get people back, and it is that which should have been the focus of the season's plan, not just the cheap options of playing youth and hiring someone who will settle for being treated as an employee "coach" instead of "manager". People may not be staying away because of Lowe specifically, but because of the lack of home success, and that is largely down to Lowe's ego (I know best, and I want to follow the plan SCW and I prepared earier), and Lowe's contempt for football fans (they will pay up, they are bred to do it). SOS appeals by Illingworth in the Echo will fall on deaf ears in the absence of some good home wins. And the lack of inventive thinking to get more people to come along is quite pathetic - they can't do anything to stimulate attendance because it will always upset one group or another. Bullsh*t. Give the promise of discounted renewals next year if you get a friend to purchase a season ticket for the remainder of the season, bring 2 mates and get a free ticket for the next match... for f*cks sake try something, but the club are just sitting there whining that there's nothing they can do.
  17. Succinct, but I think you have the wrong species. I think he is a mistle thrush - latin name: Turdus viscivorus
  18. That's about it. People make a general issue and point of principle from a specific example. Generally booing your team is something to avoid, but it depends on the situation. In Cole's specific situation, Adriansfc is on the money. Cole personifies the greed and self-centred-ness that is modern football. People like Cole have no time for fans until they become obliged to do 5 minutes-worth of penance occasionally. When he screws up there are many who will delight in telling him what an odious narcissistic f*wit he really is.
  19. That'll be why the Olympic games folks are so keen to finance His sports science during the run up to the next Olympic Games, when as host nation we want to do our utmost to excel, is it? Methinks they've seen how thin the thread is in his suit of clothes. Maybe he's been trying to tell the cyclists and rowers how it should be done!
  20. If you think that the sums he spent is funded from loans secured against Fratton Park, how much do you think that dump is actually worth? He has probably spent more on players at Poopy than St Marys cost to build. And what we got for the Dell didn't come close to paying for St Marys.
  21. If I said "Up Yours", would you hold it against me? XX
  22. Oh, I look forward to him appearing in January. It really is whetting my appetite.
  23. It is a worry that he has reportedly gone to Italy for treatment. I think he is running out of experts now. Its a real shame, but I respect him for his determination. I do think he is doing it to a sizeable degree because he in turn respects the fans.
  24. There are so many wasted threads on here. All together they make an emperor's suit of clothes. And Lowe is wearing it.
  25. He is still 5 weeks away from "returning". I'm astounded that we take on a player who is going to be injured for that length of time when we are supposed to be skint. Now if he was another Ronaldo or something maybe it would be worth the wait. But Pulis has been here about 3 weeks already, so that will be at least 2 months out of action. Why do we do these things? I hope the AD deal was "I'll give you £1.0m for Andrew, but if you take my nipper I'll give you a bit more!"
