Pleased he had a good game. 1st time I saw him @ Right back was in the Sociedad friendly. I think he's got all the tools, but just needs some experience. Fairly incredible to be able to blood an 18 year old in the premier league.

I think what we've got with Barney is a league 1 striker on probably top level championship wages. I'd imagine we'd loan him out & pay a large % of his wages.

Agree. Plus Poch has managed him before so I'm not too bothered about his antics at Roma that have been reported. Players like Osvaldo & Banega are players that can take you up a level.

Can't think of many (realistic) signings that we could've made that we missed out on that I'm jealous about - Caulker & Bony perhaps, if I was pushed. Go back a bit further and Coutinho is the player I'm gutted we couldn't land. FWIW - I think Chamakh & Downing will actually be good signings for their respective clubs.

One thing I often forget re: Osvaldo (perhaps because a lot of us were talking about Damiao) was that THEVMAN actually mentioned this in July... Don't think there's much doubt that Osvaldo is that elusive 3rd target we've yet to land.

If we land Osvaldo, that is a pretty spectacular transfer window for us.
