Maynard's got everything we'd want from a new striker, but like you say, £4m in those circumstances is crazy. Great player at this level though. Sharp's the better bet at 2.5m IMO.

Nothing wrong with us being prudent, but I do worry we'll get blown out of the water by some of the teams who can offer more ££'s.

Didn't see the game Weston, but I'd never form an opinion of someone when they play for England! I think Cork would be a top signing. (I'd take Danns too, of course)

Did they announce Holder-Spooner leaving? We found out about that because solent listed him as a Bournemouth trialist in a reserve game.

Nice one. Sure I remember hearing at the time that when this was announced that no club would currently achieve cat.1 status. Which goes to show you the sort of level you need to reach to get it.
