I'd say he was worth 1 million back in the day, when he was hitting hat-tricks for Millwall, then went to the Prem with Blackpool and looked good. The QPR stint didn't do him much good at all - I'd take 500k now.

Gary Hooper would be a fantastic signing. He's potentially up a level from Sharp, too. Like has been said above though, Celtic would only accept silly money. He's their main man. Quality player though.

Imagine he wants the same as Maynard - A big fat signing on fee that Nicola said no to.

Whenever I think of us making a major signing - I always think Jay Rodriguez. He's the only major striker we've been linked with who we've never denied interest in.
