  1. Bloody hell, that happened fast! - Coppell's building a pretty damn good team. I'm impressed.
  2. Antonio, Phillips, Frimpong & Vokes would make me even happier
  3. Scouting Report... http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/mar/10/wycombe-leaguetwofootball
  4. Yeah, I was hoping to be 100% confident going into the season : A couple of months ago I had this great vision in my minds-eye of a full & proper pre-season (as opposed to last year) and a super-fit squad, with our 5-6 signings all bedded in. But we kind of go into it with 4 key players doubtful, and no great cover in for Morgan/Punch/Lallana. Still - I think we've got enough to see off the Pilgrims though.
  5. Now signed on a short term deal with a chance of facing us this weekend http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6293179,00.html
  6. Pretty sure he's injured.
  7. Agree totally. IF he stayed fit, he'd be an outstanding signing at this level (and the Championship)
  8. Stock in talks over new contract with Donny http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6292801,00.html (What is it with all our targets doing that?!)
  9. Not sure they are skint now. I can't imagine Ambrose signed a new cut-price new contract. Danns would've joined us last year if he wanted to come here.
  10. -- Palace have offered Danns a new contract http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11706_6286039,00.html -- Hull looking to land Bostock http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6286070,00.html -- Darius Henderson injured (scratch him off the list) http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6285977,00.html
  11. Must be something in the water up in East Anglia - Didn't their young keeper Shane Supple quit football because he 'fell out of love with the game?' Agree about Garvan too - Hell of a player for this level.
  12. This is going back sometime....... Igor Korneev
  13. I think he'd be a hell of a signing for 600k. Pace to burn, naturally left footed, proven strike rate at this level, the option to play him out wide. Sign him up, Pards.
  14. Ryan Dickson should be a hell of a player by all accounts - He seemed to dominate the MOM polls on the Brentford forums.
  15. It's definitely him. http://twitter.com/jaymcglashan
  16. Greatest hope for this season? - Promotion (And relegation for the skates) Biggest fear? - Pards getting the boot or Rickie getting a bad injury Most important player? - Rickie Terrace favourite? - Fonte Keep an eye out for... - Ryan Dickson Player you'd happily drive to his next club? - Pulis One change you'd make at your club? – Ferry ticket reduction Have we got the right manager? - Hell yes. What advice would you give him? - We play better with 4-4-2 & chill the f*ck out when interviewed on Solent after a game Which team do you most want to beat this season? - Huddersfield Opposition player you despise?- Crikey – Tough one... Opposition player you secretly admire? - Would’ve been Bailey... Now probably Boyd @ Peterborough Where will we finish? - Top 2 (I hope)
  17. Darius Henderson used to beat the living sh*t out of us when he played for Watford. He'd do a job for us if we signed him.
  18. You band away, mate. Was just giving my opinion on his status! I'd have him here in a second. Scored some damn good goals for Donny last year.
  19. ...and central midfield by all accounts. Good player, but he'd be loaned out to championship clubs, if anywhere.
  20. Spot on mate. http://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/sport/headlinesport/8279284.Sutton_boss_delighted_with_Dunford_signing/ Burton trialling Garyn Preen too http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,16229_6269984,00.html
  21. Not only is one of Kakuta one of my 1st port of call's for Saints on FM - He's actually a hell of a player in real life too! Midfield playmaker, who (as stated) is pretty close to the Chelsea 1st team. (Must be VERY close to it now Ballack, Deco & Cole have left) I'd be amazed (but over the moon) if this was true.
  22. But didn't all of that help bizzarely lead to our take-over? Somewhere, I'm sure I read that the 1st time Cortese became aware of the club was when he'd read the Paul Allen rumours online. *update* Here's the link - Thought i was going daft http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/09/back_from_the_brink_southampto.html?page=15
  23. Dedryck Boyata on loan? http://www.betfairfootball.com/league-one/southampton/southampton-pursue-city-youngster-on-loan/
  24. Danns played in their pre-season friendly... http://www.thisiscroydontoday.co.uk/sport/Crystal-Palace-start-pre-season-defeat-Crawley-Town/article-2412095-detail/article.html Doubt a move is imminent. (Hope i'm wrong though!)
  25. Fair point. Not to mention the fact that he's out of contract in next summer. I'll trust Pards, whoever signs. He's got a hell of a record with us in the transfer market thus far.
